A day or so later, the affected area started filling up with fluid. I called and was told to put a warn cloth over the area involved and hold it there for ten minutes or so. Well, try that with a 100 lb dog! Anyway, I tried but that little exercise didn't help. (Duh!) So, I took the dog in a few days later and they took him into some parallel universe in the back, Upon his return, I was told they had put in a drain and gave him some antibiotics. I was amazed that that wasn't done in the first place. Then I remembered that when I picked him up on the day of the surgery, I was not given anything for pain or antibiotics. Very unprofessional. I'll be taking my dog to another vet from now on.
Description of Work
A few weeks ago, I noticed a large mass on my dog's left side, about the size of a fist. I took him in to All Creatures, which has been my vet for many years, to get it checked out. I was told it was a lipoma, that they had the time to perform the procedure that day, and that they would call when the dog was ready to go home. When I went to pick him up, I was told he had three other small lipomas and that they removed those as well.

Vets were very nice and very good at what they do. They also did not mind when we paged them late when we were concerned about our dog.

Being that I have used All Creatures for about 2 1/2 years now, I have had nothing but good experiences. I feel that they are very reliable and very generous. They treated my dog very well when he was here for this visit and I have no complaints. I am not sure what the total cost of this check up was. I am part of their pet care program so I do get 10% off all visits for that. They also offer grooming services here as well.
