 + -1 moreDrop off, diagnosis, repair was done in a very timely and professional way. Front desk/office area relatively clean, neat and did not smell of smoke.
Description of Work: Check engine light was on. They ran the diagnostic computer which indicated car needed oxygen sensor which they replaced. Also replaced alternator drive belt and installed tail light which car owner supplied from previous trip to junkyard. Labor costs were a little more than previously used repair shop but car was finished in a more timely basis and the shop was much more professionally run.

Description of Work: My van was leaking coolant. I thought it was from the lines leading to the rear heater core. They confirmed that and replaced the lines.

 + -1 moreThey did an excellent job diagnosing and repairing the multiple problems that this vehicle was having! It needed a new computer which had to be ordered so it took a couple of days. They called me each day, late afternoon, early evening, just to update me, let me know it didn't come in that day, etc. I didn't have to call them a single time to ask how it was going. The estimate that they provided me was exactly what they charged me. When I picked up the vehicle they gave me detailed advice about some problems that I was going to have with it in the next few months so that I could start considering what to do. I really appreciated that!

 + -1 moreI believe that they're honest. There are times when I've thought that some things were wrong, and they've told me that it's okay. They're good about explaining what needs to be done. I have a classic '84 Firebird, and they have kept it in good condition, whereas my older station gave up on it. They are competent and honest.
Description of Work: I have used them for a number of things over a number of years. I have had the car in for repairs, and they generally look over the car when they're making repairs. On the last visit, they replaced the radiator, as well as a couple other things.

 + -1 moreWhile I was hoping to have the leak fixed, I'd also rather they find the real problem and fix that at a later date than have them guess where the small leak is and not have it really fixed.
Description of Work: I was having trouble with my air conditioning. It worked ok when the car was moving, but when the car was idling, the air was hot. They looked at it. They said my freon level was 50% what it should be indicating a slow leak. They filled the freon and added a dye pack so when it leaked out over the next several months, the dye would tell them where the leak was located. So I'll need to go back later to have the leak actually located and fixed. For now, the air conditioning works much better. The price I paid included diagnosis of the problem, parts, laobor and an oil change.

 + -1 moreI noticed small pools of bright green fluid on the floor of the garage whenever I backed out my 1998 Corvette. Thinking it was coolant, I called Westerville Auto. I called on Saturday and they said they could see me Tuesday. I dropped it off at 8:30 a.m. They called me at 2:30 p.m. and said they could find nothing wring with the coolant system, but that the A/C compressor was leaking at one of the fitting due to a defective o-ring. The fluid was condensation from the A/C system combined with the dye they add to the "freon" (it's not freon, but that's what we still call it.) Since they installed a new compressor just a year ago, they did not charge me for the repai. They did charge me for the inspection and to recharge the system.
Description of Work: Check out cooling and A/C. Replace o-ring and recharge A/C system

 + -1 moreThis was my first experience with this company. I had called two local shops for estimates on my 90,000 mile maintenance and broken hood latch. Both shops said they'd fix the latch for free (which they did, successfully). The other shop gave me a quote of $170 more so I went with Westerville Automotive. The work they did was fine, and the shuttle service worked fine. My problem with them is that the estimate did not include all 90,000 mile maintenance,which is why theirs was less. They called me once they had my car and said that they'd left something off of my estimate, so it would be well over $100 more (I think it was $150) if I wanted it done. I felt swindled. Other than that their prices seemed fair, and the things they found wrong in the inspections really were wrong (I checked with another shop). They were all very friendly but I don't trust them because of the estimate.
Description of Work: It was basic 90,000 mile maintenance (minus an oil change, which I didn't need) for my 2000 Subaru Forester. This included inspections, flushing the cooling system, flushing the brake fluid, replacing the fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs. I had one extra thing done, which was fixing a broken latch on my hood.

 + -1 moreEverything went well. They were responsive. Because my car is a Volvo, they needed to order a part they did not stock, but it only took 1 day to get in. They communicated with me throughout the day to let me know the progress on my vehicle. When I first starting going to them, (about a year ago), I had a list of repairs needed suggested by another auto service company. Their prices were lower and they steered me clear of any unnecessary repairs. They are honest and upfront. I would give them an A+!
Description of Work: They changed the springs and brakes in the rear of my car. They also replaced my battery and changed my oil.

Description of Work: I went in with an air conditioner problem - but asked them to do a thorough check since I was taking my 2001 Chrysler Town and Country on a long trip in two weeks. They fixed a number of problems including the A/C, rear brakes, alternator noise, and engine light problem. Scott was great and very nice to work with at the front counter. The mechanic Joe did a great job and they rushed (but were thorough) to get the job done the same day since I had to wait for the car. The bill was a lot more than I had expected to spend, but Scott worked with me to have a fair price for the amount of work they did. I do believe the total was a lot less than what I would have paid at my usual Chrysler dealer. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone needing car maintenance to see Scott and the wonderful crew at Westerville Auto. I will definitely consider them for all of my car needs in the future.

It seemed like they gave him the answers he needed and the car got fixed quickly and we did not have any wait on it, so I think it was positive. I think the price was reasonable and what we were expecting to pay. They were responsive, called back and got everything done quickly.

 + 0 moreI had been having my 2002 volvo serviced by BYERS VOLVO on Hamilton Rd since I purchased in 2002 and once 5 year warranty expired all of a sudden all very expenses repairs were needed. Car had under 50,000 miles and only 1 driver and never serviced by anyone other than VOLVO. Prior to going elsewhere VOLVO informed me above repair was required plus numerous others totalling appx $1500. Westerville checked out and concluded only repairs above were needed and repaired for hundreds less than VOLVO's quote.
