John was terrific! He performed all tasks well. He was on time, courteous, very good with dealing with our dogs, suggested a way I could save money (that would take away money for him), and cleaned up the area after he was finished. His quote was exactly what he charged us and he was finished in a couple hours. I would hire him for other tasks and would recommend him to everyone.
Description of Work: John removed the shower doors in our bathroom, smoothed out the rough spots, filled in wholes from shower door tracks, recauked the tub, and hung our new shower rod.

FANTASTIC. My twins just started crawling and I was desperate to have gates installed at the top of the stairs and also at the entrances to the kitchen. I phoned John and he fit me in within a couple of days. The work performed was excellent. He is such a nice man. I will definitely be using John for future projects. I highly recommend him.

Left him at my home to do the work and I'm unsure what he exactly did. The things I know he did he did very well. He normally does a very good job, but I still have a drippy faucet that he was supposed to fix.

John is a top notch professional from start to finish. Exceptionally honest, hard working, polite and a joy to have at our home. He apologized profusely his first night there for not being able to return the next night, though it was no problem for us. The work he did on a "little" project showed attention to detail and thoroughness that we have often found lacking in this profession. We are already assembling other projects for Honey-To-Do to do around our house. Thanks John for running such a wonderful business!
Description of Work: John Bronner came out to install a Rubbermaid mailbox we had purchased. His first trip, he realized that he needed a sledgehammer to break up some of the deeper cement existing for the old mailbox. He spent about 45 minutes that night assembling the mailbox and hand removing blocks of cement. He returned 2 days later to do the job with the correct tools. This visit took him about one hour.

My husband had a stroke a year ago. When he came home from the nursing home, we needed a way for him to get more easily into the tub. Not only did John come and help do all sorts of small things that made the house more handicap accessible (like grab bars and ramps), he went to the home office of "Tub Cut" (over in North Carolina, I think), and took a course in how to install this incredible, helpful critter. It's made the bathroom completely accessible and costs far less than a traditional makeover. Now THAT is incredible service! John Bronner is the best EVER! Not only that, he's a meticulous craftsman, and everything he does is done well. He ought to be in the Angie's List Hall of Fame, with a wing all to himself!

Very well, our house is 80+ years old, so we are not working with modern day building materials. Things take more patience and time to fix or replace. He spent two days at my house and is coming back for a third day the beginning of August, when he is to install two ceiling fans, one more light outside the garage and some more 1/4-round.
Description of Work: John fixed leaking pipes, set up our dryer vent and PVC for the washer to drain. Installed lighting, replaced rotted out wood at doors and missing wood from the roof. Basically if you need something fixed he can do it.

gutter repair, handyman service

Spent about 3 hours at my home re-attaching the existing wood and gutter. Original estimate was to replace wood and paint wood and re nail existing gutter at a cost of estimated $780. He found that the wood did not need replaced. We found that there was still an open area to the attic that was not fixed and he was going to charge additional money to repair the area. I hired another company to complete the repairs.
Description of Work: Reattached fascia board and existing 2 x 4 nailer to face of the house and re nailed gutter, repair area approximately 12 feet.

He was very prompt, professional. Price was average for the handyman market. Very competent in the plumbing area, maybe a little less competent in the carpentry area.
Description of Work: He did plumbing work, put in a spigot outside; some electrical, put in two sockets for me; he did a number of hangings for my wife. He also tried to re-fasten our dishwasher to our cabinets (the amount of time necessary to complete the task was more than he had time for).

He arrived on time, actually a little early. When he got there and saw what needed to be done, he went to purchase new bolts and interior flushing mechanism. He returned and reset the toilet in the bathroom and replaced the flushing mechanism and bolts.(We had removed the toilet and replaced flooring ourselves.)

In additional to original contract to remove and replace tiles in shower/tub enclosure, I had miscellaneous handyman jobs. He was very accommodating to my need to stop the work. Did all handyman stuff. Fixed 2 light fixtures and sink faucet washers. He was pleasant and careful and understanding about my change of bathroom repair.
Description of Work: Replaced tile on non-shower wall. Purchased and replaced closet lock. Purchased and replaced outdoor double light fixture. Fixed leaky faucets. So, he was done in one day - I don't know whole time because I went to work after we decided to stop tile stuff. After he removed loose tiles and some of damp backboard, he saw wadded up newspaper in the space behind and pulled it out. The date was 1960, so 8 years after we had moved in we had these bathtub tiles repaired and obviously we weren't watching to see what workers put in! I had no memory of price work!

I found Mr. Bronner to be extremely professional, helpful, and customer focused from my first conversation (via phone) to the completion of the project. He explained what was being done and why. He explained how other areas of my home were effected and what results I should see. His response time to my email was great, and the project was not over the quote he provided. I would not hesitate in contacting Mr. Bronner for any of my home repair needs!
Description of Work: The pipe (sump pump) attached to the outside of my home had come apart. Water was not draining properly and a pond was developing at the side of my home. I called Mr. Bronner, sent pictures of the broken pipe, received a quote and confirmed a date to repair. Mr. Bronner came to my home at the time scheduled, made the repair (replaced the pipe), and took a few extra minutes to answer some questions regarding other concerns in my home/on my property.

I contacted John Bronner to ask if he could change out an old track light fixture in my Mom's bedroom. He said he would stop by to check it out Saturday morning. When he arrived he checked it out and initially said he wouldn't be able to do it for two weeks. However, he went with me to Lowe's and took great pains to be sure we got the correct fixture. He then agreed to install it! John was fantastic, very polite and exacting in his work. I will definitely contact him again. Wonderful guy who loves his work!

He did everything very well. My only complaint was he did not give me a detailed list for each service. He came to the house to do the work, needed to take the window out and then requested payment. He said his wife would send me a detailed list of service rendered, which I did not receive.

I called John at 10:30am in desperate need of someone to fix a hole in our drywall before company came for the holidays. He answered immediately and fit me in. He was here at 11:45! He completed the task quickly and cleaned up after himself! He was extremely courteous and helpful. Having called quite a few people, I was so greatful that he fit me into his extremely busy schedule. I will definitely use him again!

From the outset, communications were slow. Ultimately, I was able to schedule a date for the work. Unfortunately, Honey To Do Ltd. failed to make the appointment, offering no notice at the time. Later, Honey To Do Ltd. explained that the missed appointment resulted from a failure to transfer the appointment into the primary scheduling software. Honey To Do Ltd. arrived on time for the rescheduled appointment and completed the work in a timely manner.

John was prompt for both his estimate visit and for the work itself. He was very courteous and friendly, and even gave some scrap lumber to my 9-year-old son to paint, since he was asking lots of questions about the process. Our house looks great and we will definitely contact him for future home improvement projects.
Description of Work: We needed to have a significant amount of exterior wood trim replaced on our two-story house due to rotting and warping. John tore out the old trim, then cut, primed and installed the new trim, caulking any gaps in the trim that was not rotten.
