I bought my whole bike into this shop yesterday, thinking they would be backlogged and I would need to leave it with them. There was a gentleman working on a back with his back to me. I said hello and he stopped what he was doing to ask how he could help. I said I was dropping my bike off. He said, "well, is it something I can fix now for you?" I don't know much about bikes, but the rear tire was ...
Description of Work Fixed rear tire on my Trek mountain bike
It went well. I feel good about the service they provided. They do work right there in the back of the shop and it appears they know what they're doing. I feel comfortable that everything will work properly.
Description of Work They serviced my bike and installed an odometer.
Very good and always very helpful.
Description of Work Got some parts for my bike.
I was checking on price of some full suspension mountain bikes. It was quite interesting because of the fact that they first came out and told me that it was between $600 to a $1000. When we started talking he told me what to look out for if I wanted to purchase something used. He gave good hints on how not to get taken on a used bike. They weren't high pressure. They do tune ups and everything. S...
Description of Work I went to Eddy's Bike Shop three weeks ago to check on some full suspension mountain bikes.
When I took the bike in they kept saying things needed replacing and ran the bill up pretty high. I figured they were telling the truth and said OK and left. A few days later while they were working on it they called again and said more repairs were needed. At that point I told them I was canceling the tuneup. I figured I needed a new bike but I didn't trust Eddy's enough to get one there, so I bo...

Service Provider Response
This bicycle presented a classic case of hidden issues. It looked as if the bicycle had been neglected for a while, but no larger issues were anticipated. That was what the initial estimate was based on. It wasn’t until the technician began performing the work that the additional problems became apparent. That is why we stopped progress and the store manager contacted the customer for an update. A...

Description of Work NOTE: NORTH OLMSTED LOCATION OF EDDY'S BIKE SHOP: I have dealt many times with Eddy's on Lorain Rd. in North Olmsted and I have been very pleased with every visit. I have purchased two high-end road bikes, many accessories and I have had tune-ups done on a number of occasions. The staff are very helpful in understanding my needs/wants and in recommending the best bike or accessory. In addition, the staff is skilled at quickly assessing a mechanical issue, fixing it and ensuring that I test the bike to confirm that the issue has been resolved. Because Eddy's includes lifetime adjustments to bikes purchased with them, I do not always pay for the tune-up but whether it is a paid service or free, quick adjustment they are extremely good at what they do.
I brought in my bike because it was pretty messy and rusty, and I wanted to make sure that everything was in good shape. The mechanics talked me into a rather pricey maintenance package. I feel like I basically paid them to wipe the grease off.
Description of Work I purchased one of their tune-up packages and had the chain on my bicycle replaced.
I had a difficult time finding somebody to work on my bike, a hand-built German trike with disc-brakes. Eddy's was up to the task, though. Bob, the mechanic, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He did a great job of finding creative solutions for the modifications I requested and taught me a few things I didn't know about my unique bike. All the staff at Eddy's are helpful, friendly, an...
Description of Work They did a complete tune-up on my bike, including several modifications. I also purchased an assortment of biking-related apparel and equipment.
THE TUNE-UP LEFT THE BIKE IN WORSE SHAPE THAN BEFORE. I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THE CHAIN ONTO THE LARGEST GEAR ON THE CRANKSET, AND THE CHAIN KEPT POPPING OFF THE SMALL GEAR ON THE BACK. ALSO, THE REAR WHEEL BENT OUT OF SHAPE. ALL THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 5 RIDES OF MY TUNE-UP.
Description of Work TUNE-UP
I HAVE HAD THE BIKE BACK FOR REPAIRS AFTER A CRASH AND FOR MAINTENANCE. THE GEARS NEVER QUITE WORK RIGHT, AND IT TOOK SEVERAL VISITS TO FIGURE OUT THAT MY INNERTUBES WERE GOING FLAT BECAUSE THE WRONG TYPE OF RIM STRIP HAD BEEN INSTALLED. THEY ARE OTHERWISE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
