It went well. She was very professional and was able to quickly hem the dress and return it to me with time to spare.

Mary Anne asked me to get the zipper I wanted for my jacket which was fine. Sadly, the jacket is dark brown and stretchy material. She replaced the zipper but the seam is not straight all the way down the front. It gaps in places and shows the zipper teeth. I took it to another person who said it cannot be improved upon because it should have been laid flat when the zipper was removed and stitched in the same holes. The material was pulled too much and I was told I would just need to live with it. It looks so bad when I put it on that I am giving it away and have to get a new one.

Excellent price! We had some communication screw ups, but other than that she did a great job. She really knew her stuff! I took her the suit and I wasn’t sure it could be done, and immediately she realized where the bottle neck might be, and she said if she couldn’t do it that she would get right back to me about that. She realized that if the manufacturer had not put enough material in the coat, that she would not be able to let it out. It was great! I just liked the fact that she was really knowledgeable about the work that she did.

Mary Ann had a number of alternations that she promised other customers but told me she would try to get this done if possible. She did an awesome job! The jacket was perfect and the dress fit very well. There was a minor detail that still needed adjustment but she was able to take care of it. I have already recommended her service to others!

She did an excellent job repairing the cuts. She exceeded my expectation, the repair is barely noticeable. Another place wanted to patch the sleeve for 4x's the cost of her repair. She even took the time to repair a hole in my daughters pocket for no charge. I will use her for all my future needs! I can't say enough.

This was my first experience with having alterations done and I must say it couldn't have gone any better. I called to ask if an appointment was needed and it wasn't. I took my dress, shoes, and my sister to Mary Anne's Place and proceeded to have what I call a very pleasant and enjoyable hour with her. She is very knowledgeable, skilled in her craft as evidenced by the finished work she showed us, and has a warm and inviting personality. After putting on my shoes and dress, Mary Anne proceeded to ask where I wanted the hem line to be, making suggestions, and once the length was decided, started pinning the dress lining first and then the dress itself, all the while checking and rechecking to make sure everything was even. Mary Anne said the dress would be finished July 16th and it was. When I picked up the dress, Mary Anne explained what she did about the hooks and eyes. The neck of the dress is embellished with rhinestones and removing the buttons would have made a blank space, which she didn't think would look good. So she left the buttons, but did add the hooks and eyes. That's a professional at work. All I can say is you will not go wrong having any type of alterations or sewing done by Mary Anne. I know I will be going back to her in the near future. A big Thank You Mary Anne.

Very professional - greeted so nicely both times I went into the shop. I needed a long skirt hemmed just about 2" and it was a delicate fabric. I also brought my shoes that I would wear with the skirt so that it would be hemmed at the length I wanted. They had a private dressing room where I could change and it took about 10 minutes tops to get the right hem length desired. Said it would take about a week or so (it was during the holidays so they were very busy) to get it done. They gave me the date to pick up and out the door I went. Came back the date I was told and it was ready and perfect..they even steamed the garment for me!! I would definitely use them again and so very happy they are in the neighborhood so I can support local business.

Everything came out wonderful. I will absolutely use her again.

From start to fininsh, Mary Anne was professional and would not settle for anything but perfection. She worked many hours on the skirt and, in my opinion didn't tack on extra costs for the extra work. Her work was exceptional and her prices were beyond reasonable. I insisted on paying her more than she charged because of all her extra work. I'll never go anywhere else. What a find. Thanks Angie's List!
