Having gone without a working garage light and a rickety garage opener for several years, the time had come for an upgrade - I couldn’t face another winter driving into an unlit garage at night. I searched Angie’s list, specifically for a family owned business, which I prefer to support whenever possible. After reading countless reviews and making a list of several businesses, the first call I made was to ASAP Garage Door Services, and never looked back! While ASAP had fewer reviews than other companies, ALL reviewers were ‘A’ rated. Tony Scott came the very next morning and looked at our situation. While he was willing to install whatever system I wanted, he carried/preferred the Lift-Master Garage Door system. The package he proposed included the installation of the 8165w with a remote and keypad. Moreover, this system could be monitored and operated from a smartphone App. Although skeptical about not getting the system I’d read about, I went with his recommendation ( based on the strength of the reviews and because ASAP guarantees the products they carry), and the installation was scheduled for the next week. On the day of the appointment, his son Jim and a young assistant arrived early, and had the new system installed in about an hour- the guys got to work right away, answered my questions, were very nice, polite, and cleaned up once they finished – needless to say the installation was seamless. The opener worked perfectly and I was delighted with the keypad installed outside the garage door. Later on that day, I inadvertently loosened a wire on the mechanism trying to reboot the system to work with the App, which resulted in problems with the door itself. I immediately called ASAP in a panic, and was very appreciative that ASAP responded immediately. Jim returned the very next day, quickly figured out what happened, and then took the better part of 30+ minutes helping sort out my problem with the App…it wasn’t the opener, or the App, or Jim: it was me – obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed regarding tech connectivity stuff!. Well, everything is working perfectly, and I’m delighted with my new Lift Master. I will absolutely recommend ASAP Garage Door Services to anyone. This is a great family owned small business!!! FYI: As a serendipity affirmation of Tony’s steadfast belief in Lift Master Garage door systems, I recently realized my friend has a Lift Master for his warehouse’s ‘heavy’ freight-door, and he definitely wouldn’t have a system that wasn’t a reliable work-horse. Enuf said!

These guys lived up to their name. The gear broke inside our 15-year old garage opener on Tuesday. Called them up that afternoon and they arrived Wednesday to replace the unit.
