The service turned out really well. It was a wonderful service and he did a great job. I was really impressed. He had a common knowledge and I was really pleased with that. There were additional charges because I needed a new vent cap on my roof and he needed to realign a lot of the stuff because of the fire hazard. They did excellent work and it was quick. He had a pretty in depth understanding of what he was doing and he gave a timetable and he was finished within that timetable. There were definitely no problems. I would recommend them to other people.

The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time and cleaned my dryer vent which had not been cleaned for about two years. Additionally he pointed out that the vent cover on the roof was corroded, and he recommended that it be replaced. I authorized him to do so and he also performed this service. I was impressed with his neat appearance, professional demeanor, and efficiency. I will use this company again the next time I need dryer vent service.

Ken, the owner was on time, professionally dressed, very knowledgeable, and explained why dryer was shutting down and what his part in the repair, was finished job quickly and cleaned up.

I highly recommend this company! Ken, the franchise owner, did the work. He meticulously cleaned the dryer vent, going back and forth from the dryer to the roof, and used a crevasse tool to clean out the lint collected beneath the catch-screen in the dryer itself. He used a device to measure air speed before and after cleaning. Big difference! Next time he comes, he will compare air speed against this benchmark. Ken went beyond just cleaning. He patiently explained the structure of our old two-by-four venting system and its effect on airflow. He diagnosed the cause of the premature need for cleaning--the screen on the vent cap that should have been removed upon installation was trapping the lint. The lint backed up, filling the duct. The lint he removed was dripping wet from trapping moisture from the dryer. Ken pointed out a water spot on the ceiling above the dryer that I hadn't noticed. He said this is likely due to the moisture trapped in the lint. The coupon on Angie's List saved me $130 on the job. Dryer Vent Wizard is the company I will use from now on.

I strongly recommend this vendor to clean your ducts. He does a thorough inspection and a very thorough cleaning at a reasonable price especially when you add in the Angie's list deal we got. This vendor deserves an A+++ for service, quality and price.

On a scale of 1 to 10, #10. Ken was extremely knowledgable in figuring exactly was to do in this unique situation. We were so pleased with his work and professionalism throughout the whole process. The job was completed to our satisfaction and my dryer vent is humming along ever so smoothly. Kudos to Ken for a job well done.

Ken arrived early, explained their process to me. Inspected the dryer, the vent duct to the wall, went to the attic to check the connection thru the roof, went to the roof to check the vent cap. Explained the results of the inspection, made recommendations for improving the installation and calculated the price for the complete job for my approval. I approved the price and he started the work. The process included some improvements to the ducting in addition to the cleaning. He replaced the flexible duct with rigid duct for better airflow. Cleaned the inside of the dryer removing all hidden lint accumulation, showing me areas which I can clean myself. He went to the roof and ran two sizes of brushes thru the duct to remove all the accumulated lint, cleaned the cap, and measured the air flow, returned to the attic and replaced the duct tape connecting the duct with the roof cap with a metal tape which provides a better seal. When finished on the roof he went around the yard and picked up lint pieces which had gotten away while he cleaned the duct. He reviewed the bill and explained the airflow reading after the cleaning. I was delighted with the service and signed up for an annual service.

It was a very positive experience. Ken explained everything he was going to check, as well as the possible solutions. He was extremely confidence-inspiring. I am very happy with the work he did and with the ease of the experience.

Job turned out to be a bit bigger than I hoped it would be. Ken ended up replacing the entire dryer vent tubing and running it up through the roof. (The man who lived here before me had jerry-rigged something ineffective). Ken stayed quite late in order to get the job done in one evening. The price was also higher than I had planned to pay, but seemed fair for the amount of work he put in. He was very patient in explaining what my options were and the benefits and drawbacks of each.

We pre-paid for service using a coupon deal and were advised the appointment would take under an hour. The gentleman arrived exactly on time and began to start the process. Very quickly he informed us that we had severe build-up, much more than he typically sees, and he told us that it would take a couple hours to complete the job. He never charged us extra for the labor and stayed until the job was finished. He was professional, knowledgable and kind. We had no idea of the severity of our dryer lint backup and are thankful he was so thorough. He worked very hard and we feel that we more than got the value of what we paid for. Great job! We definitely would call him again.

He arrived on time, assessed the problem, installed a new vent, cleaned up after vacuuming the vent and left the area clean. Was very nice, and I will recommend him to others.

He was exceptionally knowledgable and clean. He really knew what he was doing. He even did a little extra on the dryer vent itself. He cleaned the vent from on top of the roof down to the dryer. He's a mechanical engineer and really knows what he's doing. His price was reasonable for the work he did, as well.

Overall it went very well. Ken arrived on time and after reviewing the situation provided an accurate estimate of the work to be done. As noted above I knew it was going to be more than a dryer vent cleaning because of the code violation. Ken gave a very knwoledgeable and detailed description of what needed to be done. He was very aware of the space limitations and considered them in his plan and installation. He spend about 3.5 hours here with no breaks. When he left you could not tell he had even been here other than the clothes drying more effectively than before. He even helped with the pricing allowing me to use and Anigie's List coupon that I was not aware of. I would recommend Ken in a heartbeat to anyone who wants a quality dryer vent cleaning from a true professional.

I am extremely satisfied with Dryer Vent Wizard of Dayton. The gentleman was extremely professional and nice. Very personable yet orderly and efficient. He helped re-orient the dryer vent from the rear of the dryer to the right side (as the space for the dryer in our closet was very limited), helped me mount the dryer on top of the washer, hooked everything up, and then cleaned out the dryer vent. He had all the tools for the job, including this little nifty expanding pillow that allowed one man to move the stacked washer/dryer combination. He then went outside and quickly cleaned the dryer vent, increasing the airflow from 12 cf/m to 20 cf/m. Clothes feel noticeably dryer too. A little more expensive than I was expecting, but I do not regret paying the money. I feel like the services were worth it, and he was a hard worker.

Ken arrived and explained what he would do. He inspected behind the dryer, went into attic and inspected system there. Then he went outside and checked roof vent. He then explained what needed to be done and showed me a written estimate with costs broken down. He gave me several choices from just a basic cleaning, replacing one piece behind the dryer to replacing the complete system. I already knew what needed done, a complete system. He then went to work, completed the job and cleaned up afterwards.

We moved into our new house (built in 1993), and our new dryer kept shutting off, and the "check vent" light kept coming on. So, after a few tries with self-cleaning the surrounding area of the connection to the dryer, smelling a burning scent coming from the new dryer, and calling a dryer repair guy, who told us our dryer vent was totally backed up on the roof (apparently visible from the ground), we called this company.The owner/service provider came out immediately and surveyed the issue. He went up into our attic and determined that our dryer vent was routed improperly through our house and was completely clogged because of the routing issues and because the previous owner likely never had it cleaned. Also, he noticed that the vent to the bathroom (located adjacent to the laundry room) was covered by the new roof, and obviously needed attention. He gave us three separate proposals, addressing the issues on three levels. We opted for the middle-priced service, which was the one he also recommended. It involved drilling a hole through the side of our brick house and placing a new vent on the outside of the wall and connecting the dryer to it. It also involved removing the old dryer vent in the attic and re-routing the bathroom vent to reach the outside through the old dryer vent access. He was extremely professional, arrived on time, was thorough in his explanations, was extremely courteous, and did a fantastic job. Despite drilling a hole through the exterior and interior of our house, there was not a single piece of dust remaining anywhere when he was finished. The job he did ultimately means we will never need our dryer vent cleaned and will likely never need his service again; however, if we did, we would certainly use the company again! We were extremely satisfied with the service. Our only complaint would be the price. Some of the parts were much higher priced than what you would actually pay if you just went to a hardware store to pick up the parts yourself. Also, after paying $700, it was painful to see the $65 discount on Angie's list literally posted 2 days after our service. That would have been nice, especially if he knew the discount was coming and especially given our unexpected situation. But, given the ultimate result, we're stil satisfied.

Ken was on time. Provided price estimate and explained service. Accomplished cleaning of vent. Cleaned afterwards. Courteous and professional.

He probably put in six to seven hours of work in the two days he was here, materia for the vents, and one hour of travel each way to get to our house. See above
