The estimator came over the weekend and called immediately with an estimate He said they were available that very week to do the work and agreed to do so. A 3 man crew arrived prompt and ready to go. They got right at it, did a great job cleaning up the debris and shavings, and made sure to dig deep enough to allow for future grass to grow. The team was very friendly and hard working. I would use them again, and definitely offer a positive referral.

Mike Woodruff was very professional. He came to the house, looked at the trees, gave me a written estimate all within a very short time. (as opposed to 1 other company who sat and told stories, written estimate was hard to follow.) Mike's estimate was easy to follow, detailed but not too long. When they came to do the trees, they got right to work, clean up was excellent, I was consulted a number of times to make sure the work was going like I wanted it. When they were done my yard looked better than before they came.

I purchased a big deal coupon to use their services. I called during the week and they made arrangements to come out the same week on Saturday to review the trimming I needed to have done. They arrived at the designated time, Saturday morning and I describe the services I wanted and we did a walk-through. I knew the work I wanted to have done would be more than the big deal, however it was a good discount. He gave me the price and said they may have a crew available on the same day, which they did. I have a large oak tree in my back yard and I needed two large branches removed, one growing towards my roof. The cleared 4 feet of two pine trees near my home and also removed a small tree growing near my home. The finished and cleaned up everything to my satisfaction.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for tree services from Woodruff Tree Services. I scheduled an appointment for them to come and give me a quote on a Saturday. They came back the same day and did all of the work and did a suburb job cleaning up (including going above and beyond what we had agreed upon). I would recommend them to anyone and will use them in the future without a second thought.

I called to cut down a tree in the front yard. I purchased a while a go and decide to use recently because it was too cold for them to work. After a few contact with Mike, they came back to cut down the tree. They work pretty quick with 4-5 people about 20-30 minutes to finish the job. It was an easy job for them I can tell. I was pretty happy about the job and clean up afterwards. The quote for price original to cut down without grinding was around $318.I purchase the $99 coupon for $200 service so I paid total about $218. I think it is fair for 4-5 people's job, but I remember someone came to my door to quote me $99 to cut down the tree but I did not want it at that time. So, I feel the coupon doesn't get much but I was paying/quoting for full service without discount. Overall, they are doing an excellent jobs.

The job proposal stated exactly what was to be done & how much the various cost factors for each task on our trees would be. Mike Woodruff was concern about the health of our trees, conscientious worker. The clean up was great.

They’ve become very, very expensive. I called them back to do some more work and they doubled and tripled their price. They did a great job when they came out, they did what they said they would do and they worked hard. So I had them back out to do a bedding with more work to be done, you just can’t do all of it at one time. They came back out and looked at it, and gave me a quote for it but they made the price about three times what it was worth.

Woodruff was very responsive and quick to provide an estimate as well as to schedule service. When I had the estimate done, I got a price on the front tree ($2200 to cut it down, grind the stump, and take the wood). I asked for the price if they left the wood. He said $1800. When we got to the back, he said he could do the whole job for $2500. The estimate clearly stated "take wood" and was $2500 for the entire job. I got two more estimates that were within $150 for the job. When the work crew came, they said they didn't bring their big trucks so couldn't take the wood away. When my husband went to pay, they insisted that the quote was for leaving the wood and that "take wood" meant taking in to the curb. I called them back to discuss the bill on 2/21 and they never called me back. Their job performance was acceptable. It was a very large tree. They did a good job picking up all the small sticks that were left behind. Because of how they brought the tree down, my yard is pretty torn up. There are 4-5 inch indents where they brought larger limbs down. We have found 4 inch wide sticks embedded in the yard up to 6 inch deep. It looks like a mole dug up our yard. Overall, the tree is down, the job is complete. I managed to get rid of the wood, but would never use this company again due to their dishonesty in the quoting process. I'll be following up with the BBB as well.

I had a concern about the trees close to my garage damaging the structure as they kept growing. I purchased the $200 coupon from Angie's list and asked Woodruff to remove them. They provided the quote by email. They came on saturday and finished the work quickly and professionally. I am satisfied.

They were very professional and prompt. They made they appointment time. I was glad they were able to come out so fast since one of the pieces was still hanging off the roof.

A wild goose chase. Maybe this is no big deal since this was not an emergency - not a tree that had crashed through my roof - just a nuisance tree that needs to be removed. Even so, it strikes me as quite careless and perhaps a bit rude.

I had called 3 companies for estimates and Mike was the only guy that showed up on time. He even called about an hour before our scheduled appointment to confirm that we were still on. 2 things I appreciate in business are communication and punctuality so I give props to Mike on this. During the estimate walkthrough Mike also pointed out other areas throughout my yard that his guys could address and clean up for me, which is something the other 2 companies didn't do. We had to reschedule the work a couple times due to the weather, but once we had a nice enough day they showed up on time and performed the work that we had agreed upon. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them.

If I remember right it took a few calls to get the work scheduled, but once we got in touch the work was done very soon afterwards. I got home from work and found it well underway a few days after we spoke. I was pleased with all aspects of the work including the price--it was a Big Deal which saved me $100, and then Mike worked with me on the price for the rest of the work beyond what was covered in the deal. He was friendly and helpful, clearly explaining the options as far as what could be done and for how much.

They did a wonderful and beautiful job. The technician was pleasant. They cleaned up well after themselves. I couldn’t be more pleased, and I’d definitely use their services again.

They did an excellent job for us. The technician that came out to provide us with estimates was incredibly professional. They had set up a date, but the weather was terrible that day, so we re-scheduled. They showed up on time, as scheduled and completed the work quickly. They brought excellent equipment with them. They were incredibly efficient and cleaned up everything so well. There was no debris left at all, even on the driveway. It was a great experience and they were one of the best contractors we ever worked with. I would recommend them highly!

Overall, the company provided the service requested and that was handled timely and at a good price. I was disappointed with some of the service aspects. They broke a lightbulb on the outdoor lights and did tell me about it, although replacing it would have been the right thing to do. We had also had our patio power washed with another service and that is now a complete waste of money. While the trees were on one side of the patio, the muddy prints were everywhere on the patio and steps. When I mentioned it to them, they said I should have had them there first with no concern. Being that I had this service on the same day as another service company who provided exemplary service, the lack of concern for our property was a disappointment. ***update*** The company provided a great price and completed the service as expected. I was disappointed with their lack of concern for our property, as they broke a light and left our patio a mess (which had just been power washed). The company contacted us and plans to return to replace the light and clean up the patio by power washing. I appreciated the response to our concerns about overall service.

The company sent out a sales rep on 11/22/2011 to give me a total price on the job. He arrived about 1/2 hour sooner than expected. After discussing what had to be cut down he said they would be at my residence the next day at around 3:00pm. We then went to lunch on the 23rd and returned about 11:30am. At approximately 11:45am they arrived with their truck, chipper and crew. Their climber went up the tree and secured a rope around the main branch that was hanging over my roof. He then proceeded to cut the branch with a chainsaw. The branch dangled and was lowered to the ground and the main crew cut it into shorter logs and carried all to the chipper. They were very fast in performing their job which only took about 35 minutes. When they left they completely cleaned up my backyard and the curb where the chipper was located. They accepted my coupon payment for $99.00 plus an additional $50 due to the complexity of the job. I was very satified. I would definitely call this company again. Thanks Angie's List for the heads up and the Woodruff company for a job well done.

The company showed up on time and began to immediately work with 6 or so helpers. They were polite, professional, and diligent workers throughout the day. They worked for several hours until the entire job was completed. At the end of the day, they hauled away everything so we had no tracks of their work. We have several older trees in our yard and we will continue to use Woodruff's to care for our trees.
