Our first appt he never showed up,he didnt even call. I called him he gave me some stupid reason that he was at a party and it ran late.The party was a street away We finally got together and set everything up,He gave an estimate I thought was to high so I talked to him about this,and he agreed to come down in by lower $200.00(I wanted to cut the cost so he told me that was the reason the mantel was off).He started the job and brought a worker with him,they worked hard but would tell me one time and showed up another time,they did do a nice job until it was over.He informed me that the job would be $200.00 more,He also put shelves up in my kitchen which were off center so i had to wait for him to fix them.Something seemed wrong with my fire place mantel,I could not quite put my finger on it (its black so it was kind of hard to see the mistake) I got my ruler and started measuring and the difference in the sides of my mantel one side was off by over 2" When he came back and before he came back i was in my garage cleaning up his mess i noticed behind a box hidden a peice of stone they had taken my $500.00 gas log out that they had taken out of my fire place to do the mantel(and he completely blew me off about that) . When he came back to fix the shelves I talked to him about it.He blammed the wall being bowed out,(should he have not seen that when he was measuring).He told me if he had to fix it or make a new mantel i would have to pay for it even though it was his fault.what a gentlemen,Also he has not called or tried to contact me in over 2 mons.I have called him and his voice mail is full i can not even leave a message.I have trusted him because his brother recommended him,He is young and now i know very inexperienced,I always came from the mind set measure twice cut once,he has alot to learn,I also trusted him because he kept using the city inspectors name..Another bothering part of this is he never retured the top to my 1800's mantel which i reqested from him number of times and he took my brand new roll of duct tape....
