Guy showed up on time for the estimate. He gave me a detail written estimate of work to be performed. All other estimates I received was a price on the back of a business card. The work started and completed ahead of schedule. Guy had to work with the city commissioners regarding water issues. He was the only contractor who said he would contact the city regarding the possibility of installing a drain to catch the run-off water. All of the others were just going to install a drain. He kept me informed of the status with the city. I appreciate the extra effort Guy performed to make sure the job was done correctly and with the approval of the city. Guy called to let me know when the work was going to start. The work site was clean every night. The workers were very courteous. Excellent job. I would definitely recommend Gaetano Cement for any job.

Excellent experience overall. Guy and his crew were very helpful in telling us the problem with the old apron and what they could do to improve things. Our driveway has a city storm drain right at the end of the apron, and the old apron was installed poorly so that it extended over a bit of the sewer. Peppe & Sons did a great job - the apron looks terrific, and is no longer being destroyed by snow plows. They also replaced two sidewalk blocks at minimal additional cost. Guy is very responsive, returning calls and emails promptly, and is very willing to take the time to explain everything thoroughly. I recommend this company very highly.

I called this company for an estimate. They did return my initial call, however I never heard anything back after that. I found some one else to do the work for me.

Bottom line is that we ended up with a very solid and well drained concrete garage floor that passed the City inspection and will provide many many years of trouble free service for this house. Peppe & Sons Cement (Guy DiFini) was selected from 3 companies identified as driveway contractors in the northeast Ohio area that had good Angie's List ratings. All 3 were contacted. Two companies submitted quotes. Peppe's was $600 lower, plus they offered us a $150 Angie's List discount, bringing their price down $750 below their closest competitor. This project was the type of filler work that would proceed on short notice and be completed in less than 1 day. We received 3 days notice, which was more than enough and the Peppe crew completed the work as promised. They lost the use of a power operated wheelbarrow, but were able to complete the work by working longer hours.

From the time of the estimate which Guy did quickly and gave us a complete report. They told us that it would be a few weeks before they could start and said it would be around the first couple of weeks of August. They were right on since they did the work in the middle of August. They removed the old driveway, then laid the base, and poured the new driveway-three days. Guy did call to say that two panels of the sidewalk should be replaced and said he did not know why it was not noticed before now. He gave me an estimate and did the work. Guy and his staff were very friendly and professional. If I needed any other concrete work they will be first on my list.

Guy was very professional, informative and cooperative from the quote right through the completion of the project and beyond. Guy has responded to phone calls immediately where we needed added support and advice even well after the project was completed. We know that we can count on him for honest and thorough service and advice on upkeep of our concrete. We would highly recommend Peppe and Sons to anyone considering concrete work.

They were very helpful about answering all of my questions and concerns, even though I didn't end up using them.

He wasn't able to do the work for me, but he did refer me to another company that I will work with.

Gave me an estimate of 9,500. He called back 3 days after I left a message, but I never considered him because his estimate was so high, 50 % higher than the lowest bidder. He was one of the many that just gave me an estimate by email/phone, but I never met him face to face; we never discussed the driveway in person.

Guy came out the same day we called him to give an estimate. Landscape architect enlarged the sidewalk dramatically after the estimate and Guy added very little onto the estimate. He spent a lot of time reviewing the plans and making certain the forms matched the plans. Wonderful to work with father and son team. I actually looked forward to these guys showing up each day.

Overall we are pleased with the result and Guy's keeping to the time-table he projected for completion of the project. Professional company. Would definitely use again.

Ended up going with another contractor (due to two recommendations from a friend and a co-worker who had the work done by the other contractor and were very pleased). However, Guy was great. He communicated very well and gave a very fair quote.

Although we were able to get our City to remove this citation from our housing inspection due to danger to our tree by root disruption and delay for several years the driveway repair or replacement, when we finally do the work we will use Peppe and Sons. We recommended them to our next door neighbor for their driveway repairs. Peppe and Sons were very responsive and gave us very good advice on the items we would need repaired in order to make sure we did not have water issues arising from the driveway replacement. They regularly followed up with us to see what our intentions were. None of the others we contacted after the first estimates ever called back. When we finally do the work, this contractor would be our first choice. We were very impressed.

We could not be happier with work that Guy and his dad did for us. The quotation process was quick and timely. Guy took the time to explain the acid-stain process and the likely results. He also discussed other options like expoy, naturestone and a erlay/stamping approach. After we decided to go with his proposal, our job was scheduled promptly and Guy showed up on time. He helped us out by moving a big game table out of the room without charging us anything extra. The grinding work was dust-intensive and he was apologetic about the mess it made. Guy was particularly concerned about making sure we were happy with both the staining and sealing steps of this job. He applied the stain twice to make sure it had the right appearance. When we were debating between water and acrylic based sealers, he did test patches with both products. He came back on a Saturday to finish the job. Guy has a great work ethic and a terrific "customer-first" attitude. We highly recommend him.

Guy, his father, brother, and crew were friendly, hard working guys who obviously take an interest in their craft. Guy gave me several good ideas which were incorporated into the project. Would use them again, and I recommend them highly.

This company replaced my driveway three years ago, and I was very pleased with the work. I called them several times last year about some concrete steps, but they never called back. I called them this year about replacing the apron and some of the public sidewalk, but they never called back. It was very disappointing, as I like to continue with a company when they have done good work. I had to go with another company, both last year and this year.

They gave a prompt response to my call for a quote, and they were professional and courteous.

GUY WAS EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE AND PROVIDED A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO IN GETTING A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY (EVEN IF WE DIDN'T GO W/THEM.) THE BASE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, BUT WE ADDED COST BY GOING WITH COLORING OF CONCRETE AND THEN STAMPING. THE DRIVEWAY CAME OUT BETTER THAN I IMAGINED AND HAS ALREADY GOTTEN MANY, MANY POSITIVE COMMENTS BY OUR NEIGHBORS. WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR WORK TO ANYONE!!!

GUY WAS ACCESSIBLE AND VERY RESPONSIVE - SOMETHING THAT, AS I LEARNED DURING THE PROCESS, IS PRETTY RARE. HE DID A GREAT JOB OF LISTENING TO OUR IDEAS AND WORKING WITH US TO MAKE THEM HAPPEN. THE ENTIRE TEAM WAS PROFESSIONAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED.

THEY WERE NICE ENOUGH TO CALL ME BACK AND SAY THAT THEY ALWAYS LOVE TO HELP OUT ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS, BUT THEY ARE JUST TOO BUSY RIGHT NOW TO TAKE ON ANY MORE CUSTOMERS.

THE CREW DID A GREAT JOB EXPLAINING WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND ALSO DEALING WITH SOMEWHAT SEVERE PITCH ISSUES IN THE YARD. THE JOB TURNED OUT GREAT AND TIES IN SEAMLESSLY WITH MY HOUSE AND DRIVEWAY. GUY RECOMMENDED THE GATORGRIP ADDITIVE FOR THE SEALER ON THE STAMPED PATIO. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT AS WELL. ELIMINATES ALL SLIPPAGE IN WET CONDITIONS. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

HE TOLD US THAT THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO, AND IF WE TRY TAKING THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT, THERE WOULD BE NO RESOLUTION, SO DON'T EVEN BOTHER.
