Andy andThomas arrived 8 am to remove all remaining furniture from the living room, books, table, couch, rugs bookcases. Then they removed all destroyed floorboards. End day 1. Day 2 arrived 8am with Yanni and Thomas and replacement flooring, joist replaced, wood replaced, cleaned the slate fireplace edge/border with wood, recessed radiator had been removed and old valve replaced, insulation was put into place between the joists, lots of vacuuming, day 3 8am arrival Yanni and Thomas finish laying the floor, radiator back into recess after Yanni painted the back/front of recess panel. The basement ceiling got jolted and Thomas repaired those 2 minor plaster holes. Day 4 Terry and 2 other men, the floor crew arrived to sand the floor and then coat it, 2 days later Terry arrives to recoat the floor and project is finished. Waiting period from Sat. to allow the floor to dry then Andy shows up to move the furniture and I ask him to come back the following week, I change my mind and ask him to come back sooner, then Yanni shows up to put the radiator grill into place (modifications needed and done) then Yanni and I move the furniture back into the living room, Yanni connects my TV and cable box and glues the leg back onto a piece of furniture I had previously broken off. Terry said he's been doing this for 30 years, Yanni says 20 years, Andy never said but he was always available, on phone, in person, in text. He also came by to admire the floor. Which looks stunning. I would, will, want to ask Arta Construction to take on my other homeowner projects. I am a homeowner in Yonkers, NY and I have a co-op owner friend from Riverdale, NY who brought Andy into my house to assess the damage. He said no problem and there was no problem. Only good. Full Kitchen Gut Job and Renovation

Andy and his crew did great work - fast and high quality. From the demolition through the finishing touches they were efficient and professional. Throughout the project they were respectful of us living there while the work was being done. They also made changes midstream as we directed without complaining. We were very happy with the end result. We highly recommend Arta Construction.

Andy was true to his word and did an excellent job of renovating our tenant’s kitchen. He was always responsive, responsible and reliable. Highly recommend the work and the work ethic.

We engaged Arta Construction to perform a gut renovation of two full bathrooms and two bedrooms at our Forest Hills home. This was a large undertaking for which we were prepared to invest a substantial amount of time and money. Arta’s team consisted primarily of FAMILY. That meant each worker viewed the client (me) as his own. I was greeted daily by friendly, task oriented plumbers/electricians, carpenters and tilers. They were prepared with questions to ensure my expectations could be met and exhibited the acumen expected of a high-quality contractor. Arta Construction is led by Andy who was always several steps ahead of the work being performed. He considered each of our design ideas carefully to ensure that the finished product would appear as imagined. When a design couldn’t work as perfectly as imagined, he knew before any such work was performed. For example, (this seems small but was a very astute observation) we were building closets that ran the entire width of the adjoining bedrooms, I wanted BIG floor to ceiling doors to maximize access into our new closets. Arta pointed out that our house, believe it or not, was ever so slightly off-level, and floor to ceiling doors would emphasize this currently invisible fact (the margin of error grows when adjacent to perfectly level doors that go the length of the room). Andy showed me how it would ultimately look, and needless to say, we scrapped that design. Andy recommended alternatives to get us the storage we wanted without sacrificing aesthetics. The design and layout of our master bathroom was far more complicated. A small space for which we were desperate to get the largest shower and vanity. We’d do anything, move plumbing, windows, entry door, cut this, demo that, just for a bit more space. We worked through several options, cost not a concern. Most contractors would say “heck if you want to pay for it, we’ll do anything”. Andy showed me that each iteration of a drastically re-designed layout would only sacrifice something of the current layout. After numerous discussions, drawings and measurements, Andy recommended thoughtful modifications to the existing layout. Andy chose to forgo a significant increase in billings for a bathroom plan that made the most sense for us. The new design included a much larger vanity, a large shower and a pocket door that makes the bathroom feel much larger. We’re extremely happy with Arta’s workmanship, professionalism, and quite frankly, Andy as a person. We’ve already recommended Arta to friends who have all been raving about our brand-new space. We’re excited to work with Andy again soon on our next major renovation project, a finished basement. Pictures for this review will be coming soon….

Andy and his staff at Arta Construction were more than what I could have asked for in our renovation project. They were timely, efficient, reliable, honest and more importantly the quality of work was excellent. Andy and his staff were knowledgeable and took pride in making sure our prewar home had the correct support, plumbing, etc below the surface before proceeding with the work. Also equally important, they provided a timeline for the project and completed it within the time frame. They were able to modernize completely my pre-war, art deco home into a beautiful haven for my family.

Andy Q and his crew were absolutely flawless in planning, execution and finishing up the smallest details in this complex project. He and his crew were artisans, making my small bathroom look like a million bucks! They went above and beyond what he had agreed to do and his workman were the hardest working I've ever seen. The original demolition was to take 2 days and took 1 day with the second day for hauling everything from this ancient bath with layers of tiles and floors. His bid was the lowest of Manhattan contractors, including Lowes, who was dying to offer free financing, but with no practical advice. Andy knew what I could realistically do and what was just not possible in my tiny bathroom. One contractor wanted $15K just for demolition of my 30 square foot bathroom! Even before we began and all during the project, if I texted Andy, he would call within minutes and was always available to help with advice and reassurance. The Maintenance Company representatives for my co-op, on the other hand, were horrible, with unreasonable delays in approving my project, which delayed our starting time considerably. But that is over since my bath is 95% finished !! The new custom shower doors from Paradise Glass will be installed Wednesday and I will follow up with another review. THANK YOU ANDY!!!! This was my second job with Andy and he was (again) spectacular. He came over quickly and started work right away. He made sure that everything in the area was cleaned off, and super-reinforced to prevent this from ever happening again, and also made sure to independently reinforce the recently installed LED panels. Janni, Michael and Peter were wonderful to work with; they cleaned out all the junk every day and washed everything down when they all finished. The old linoleum floor tiling was also replaced (since some had gotten damaged when the ceiling fell down) - everything looks absolutely beautiful - Andy and his guys are superb craftsmen and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Everything was great, very happy with everything done now and in the past. Andy always does excellent work, fair price, easy to work with, his staff is talented as well, a great group all around. Work gets done on time, stays with you until every detail is done.

The quality of the work is excellent. The bathroom turned out perfect. It is sophisticated and classic. We have already began discussion on other projects in our home. As a matter of fact, this is his second project with us. Several months ago, he replaced our kitchen floors and the work was perfect. Highly recommended!

Working with Andy and his crew was a pleasure. Not only does each member take pride in his specialty; electric, painting, plumbing, etc., they go out of their way to be of assistance to one another. Renovating in an apt building is not an easy task. Arta worked well with our super and was quite respectful of our neighbors and their concerns. We always felt that Arta was on our side; they were patient with the delay of our items being picked up and stored and quite helpful in dealing with appliance delivery. It is clear that Andy takes great pride in his work and as a result, we are proud of the beautiful upgrades to our home. We are looking forward to working with Arta on renovating the bedrooms soon. In March 2018 we hired Arta Contracting Company to gut and renovate two bathrooms of our single home residence. That job was done extremely well, and It was therefore only natural to reach out to the same company again for our second big renovation that covered a foyer, the living room and part of the dining room. Once again the execution of this project that started in mid-March and was completed on time, was carried out flawlessly. Arta’s team consists of highly skilled professionals and Andreas who leads the company keeps a close supervision as the job progresses and is always available. As our high ratings suggest, once again Arta Contracting made an A+ renovation. We continue to remain extremely satisfied with this company and plan to use the same firm again for our next projects. I would highly recommend Arta Contracting.

All I can say is FANTASTIC! Andy and his crew beyond exceeded my expectations. I purchased a new home and needed some work done. A kitchen was completely remodeled, 4 bathrooms and a basement/laundry area. They were knowledgeable, punctual, organized and the attention to detail was on point. I will definitely be using Andy and his crew for my next bigger home!

Excellent experience from start to finish. I had stone countertops installed as well as plank flooring and a new dishwasher. I had already picked out what I wanted so that part was easy. Andy made the process so easy. The other reviews are not wrong - these guys are fast, accurate, professional and clean. I am so pleased with the results! I highly recommend them.

I’ve needed to renovate my kitchen for more than a decade. When I started the process I invited three contractors to give me estimates and plans; one was recommended by a friend, one I found from their advertising on a work truck, and Andy, whom I found on Angie’s List. Andy was the only one of the three who provided a firm written estimate, a timeline, and detailed ideas for the project. All gave me the same price, but two could not be bothered to provide the sort of written material a co-op Board would need (they gave me oral estimates or sent me text messages). When Andy told me he would have it done in 7-8 business days I became suspicious. I’ve never heard of anyone getting a kitchen completely renovated in under two weeks. I was wrong. Andy and his crew were punctual, meticulous, efficient, thoughtful, tidy, and polite. Andy responds promptly to his text messages, he attends details with care, not just details of the job itself but also of things like cabinet design, Certificates of Insurance, proof of licensure, co-op Board approval. Working with Andy was a pleasure and I could not be happier with the finished product. Anyone in need of a contractor would be foolish not to consider hiring Andy.

We put in a new kitchen four years ago but the floor tiles began to crack and come up. We needed a contractor to redo the floor without moving or damaging the cabinets. Andy and his team were very careful not to damage our cabinets while removing and laying new tile. His team was on time and very courteous and polite. His team went above and beyond in certain instances. Very pleased with the quality of the work and will not hesitate to recommend his services. We will be using Arta for future projects.

We recently hired Arta Construction to complete a small bathroom renovation project. After demo, we had contacted 4 contractors for quotes - 3 with high ratings through Angie's list. The quote from Arta came in slightly higher than the middle quote, but what sold us was the initial meeting we had with Andy about our project. He asked all the right questions about our design plan, offered advice, and even immediately noticed our floor was 3/8 inch out-of-level. We made the right decision. Andy's team was able to start the project early and completed it within a week, ending earlier than the initial start time. The job was completed on budget, and there was excellent communication throughout the process, both during the day from the team working, and from Andy at the end of each day to go over what was accomplished, and what the next steps were. In the end, our bathroom looks exactly as we planned, and with better craftsmanship than we had hoped for (especially the flawlessly installed penny tile.) Everyone in the Arta crew is professional, with a tremendous work ethic and broad area of expertise. Thank you Andy, John, Peter, Nicos, Thomas, and Marius. I have nothing but good things to say about Arta Construction. My experience was positive with them from Day 1. Andy performed an initial assessment, where we asked what I wanted and explained his process (how long it would take, his approach, etc). He didn't try to push anything on me. In fact, he actually let me know when some things may not be needed (replacing my backsplash, for example). Pricing was also fair. Although the job was small, this did not impact the attention or professionalism my project received. I loved my kitchen upgrade, and i could see that he paid attention to the details. Arta was always on time, profession and also really nice guys! You can tell they ware honest, love that they do, take pride in their work and enjoy seeing a happy customer. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know who's looking for quality work.

Exceedingly well! Work was done in a furnished apartment. Andy and his men managed the monumental task of moving furniture around. He was realistic about the duration of the project. His workers handled objects with care and left the work area clean daily. Andy was prompt, courteous, and very professional.

He came out for an assessment and said that he would send me an estimate so I could send it to the insurance company and he never got back to me.
