Job not complete, guy was supposed to come yesterday and finish. He did not show up, I had to text him. He answers he can not come until Saturday. This is after the down payment. Marcello shows up, gets right to work. He tells me I need a few new sprinkler heads, a new box in the ground and it will cost more than the $800 he estimated this would cost (not in writing). I agree and tell him I want a receipt. Sure, sure. He goes off to buy parts (not already in the truck?). He comes back, works some more, tells me (we are using sign language and grunts due to language barrier) I need MORE heads. Okay, make it happen. He goes off to but more parts. After he completes, he discovers two leaks in the ground. Uhh, leak bad here... He points, I ask Can you fix it? Head nod, signifying yes. He completes job, loads truck, asks for remainder of payment. Marcello, can we test this first? We turn the system on, he runs each zone for about a minute, everything worked fine. Do I get an instruction manual for the system?" *shrugs* Does it wi-fi?*shrugs* At this point I am fed up this burned a whole Saturday. I give the Marcello the balance plus the cost of the new sprinkler heads. May I have a receipt please Nods indicating no. Now I am fed-up bad, I need a receipt. More head nods and grunts. Okay, we are done here, bye. Two days later, one of the leaks is back, and two heads are not popping up. I send a text message, he says he will come by to give an estimate. Estimate? How about standing by your work? It worked fine before I left.
