+ -1 moreIt went very well. The electrician was on time, courteous, and pleasant. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. He went beyond the scope of the job by showing me things that I might want to consider in the future (some things I could do, other services provided by Scherer) without putting too much sales pressure. Some might complain about the price, but no one ever wants to pay for these services. I was very happy with the result (being able to use a circuit that had been offline for months) for the price. Overall a very good experience.
Description of Work: Electrician performed a circuit diagnostic to determine where I had gone wrong in my do-it-yourself electrical work and made sure that a three way switch was wired properly. He also gave me helpful tips on what I could do with the circuit.

+ -1 moreScherer was great from start to finish. I called in the morning and they were here right on time (10 mins early in fact). Dan (the electrician) was courteous, clean, explained everything he was going to do point-by-point. They charged exactly what they said they would. You'll pay a slight premium for using Scherer, but we think it was worth it -- no headaches, honest work. We'd definitely use them again, and would recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Power went out to bathrooms. Dan did a diagnostic on the line from the circuit box up through every room affected. He found a loose wire that was the cause of the problem and fixed it.

They finished the work within a couple of hours of coming out. They came out the same day that I called. The young man who did the work worked very efficiently. He seemed to know what he was doing and cleaned up very well after himself. I thought he was good.
Description of Work: Scherer Electrical Construction removed a kitchen light that had burnt out and installed a new one, installed a light switch in the basement, and installed a dimmer switch for me. They installed the kitchen light on the second trip after I had bought it.

+ -1 moreThe electrician was punctual, very courteous and professional. He took time to go over the bill and charges "before" commencing his work. It turns out the job involved simply flicking circuit breaker switches. But he also went on to do a few minor jobs as a complementary service.
Description of Work: The power in the kitchen area (only) had gone out. Not being familiar with electrical work and sort of new to the house, I saw a Scherer sticker in the basement (probably left by the previous homeowner) and called the number.
