Came on time, very professional. Took some time to find the problem, but they did and fixed it. Not cheap, but very good at what they do!!!

Went well. Prompt completed quickly and cleaned up.

Contractor was very prompt and professional. I thought the price was a little high but I hadn't had any work done in quite awhile so it may just be me. Work was done very professionally and neatly.

Two homes in our Lovejoy neighborhood were the vandalized by a drive-by shooting, ours being one of those homes. We had two visible bullet holes going into an upstairs bedroom, and an additional hole on the outside which we couldn't pinpoint on the inside. It looked as if it may have landed near an outlet. My husband called Scherer Electric, asking for someone to come out as soon as the schedule would allow it. Mike happened to have a free slot for us and came over. He cut a hole in the wall and checked the outlet - everything was fine. Thank goodness. He was kind enough to make the cut in the wall over one of the bullet holes, essentially making our drywall repair job even easier for us, which I appreciate very much. My husband then asked him if he could take a peek at a wall switch that was giving us some issues. He fixed it within minutes, and gave us lightbulb tips (we weren't aware CFLs should not be connected to a lamp with a dimmer switch). He was so kind, VERY knowledgeable, and extremely efficient and professional. I hope to move OUT of this neighborhood soon, and I know exactly who I'd call if our new place has any electrical needs. Seriously you won't be disappointed if you call them for service.

Upgraded the service on the first day did all other work on day two. Kept me informed on what they were doing and what they were finding. Very happy with the work.

They were very professional and prompt. We originally wanted several new outlets in basement and one upstairs in the foyer. We were quoted the cost and chose to have just the one outlet for the time being in the basement. We will definitely have them come back out for further work.

My husband and I were very pleased with the service. December has been a fun month around here (the washer died and so did the furnace in the space of three days). Both involved calling the fire department (but don't worry. Everything was fine.), so naturally, when the kitchen light started doing funny things, we consulted our old friend, Angie. Mike and Stan inspected the kitchen light and the circuit board, then explained everything in a way that I could understand. He was honest, giving us a fair price for all the work he did. Mike was prompt, coming back the next day to put in the new kitchen light. We definitely will use this company for our electrical needs again. We highly recommend them.

Courteous and patient explaining the quote and terms. Crew was timely and tidy. Zero (yes, zero) surprises or extra fees. Work is top quality and clean. Will certainly recommend and use again.

NoCame on time and asked to see what was wanted. they provided an estimate which was the actual bill. The work was done beautifully - wife was pleased. Courteous and polite they explained everything and cleaned up completely. No comebacks on this job.

The called to ask if they could start a half hour early which was not a problem. The entire job took at least 6 hours. This house has two apartments and service was switched from the back to the front so that the garage electric bill is to the front apartment. The wire run took some time in part because it was long enough that a supporting wire had to be strung with it. We had these two electricians from scherer electric before and they had provided an estimate of this job the last time they were here. That estimate was what we were charged this time. The cleaned up nicely - a very professional job. No complaints - no comebacks.

The owner and his assistance provided the service and they couldn't have been more professional. They were very personable and explained everything they did. They even replaced some light bulbs in my vaulted ceilings for me. They came exactly the time they said they would be there. They called me when they were in route. They cleaned up after they were finished and made sure they always put floor protectors over their shoes. They also explained that I was using the incorrect bulbs on dimmer switches and replaced those for me. I couldn't recommend them enough.

They were prompt, personable, professional and thorough. They fixed the problem and went a step further and explained everything. They also looked at and answered questions we had about other situation. They provided explanations and gave a detailed estimate for that work. They were clean (covered shoes) and respectful. They were even patient with our silly barking dog.

They were super friendly and accomodating.

The work I needed was to bring my home up to code for the City of Buffalo. One example of the quality of workmanship was in moving an electrical outlet for me. Not only was great care taken in positioning the outlet just right for the new stove, but, Ken went the extra mile of saving wallpaper from the new hole to carefully patch the old hole and hide all traces of the old outlet. Ken personnally took the time to ensure that the city inpector came out promptly and authorized my service.

They came explained what they were going to do to determine the problem and the estimated cost. They were friendly, professional and they put booties on their shoes when they entered the house. We needed a new circuit outside which was replace quickly and efficiently. Very pleased with the service!

The price was a bit high, but overall...it was worth it. Excellent work! So nice to have a company that does the job on time and does it right! They even came on a Saturday to do the work. Would definitely hire Scherer Electric again. Not only did they complete the work at hand, they also brought up to code any existing areas of concern relevant to what they were working on.

I asked relatives and friends for a referral for an electrician. Nobody could think of anyone that they would recommend. I heard about "Angie's List" having seen their commercials on t.v. so I joined up. I looked at the top electrical companies on the list and for whatever reason, chose Scherer Electric. I never heard of them before and knew nothing of their reputation as electrical contractors. I called and was able to make an appointment for a couple of days later. Mike Scherer and Bill showed up and I told them what I was interested in having done. I was so impressed. The first thing they did before they set foot in my apartment was to put on what looked to me like what I would call surgical slippers over their work shoes. They came in and checked out the livingroom outlet and bedroom switch that I was concerned about. They explained what they were doing before starting working. I then remembered the wallplate in the bathroom was cracked and loose. They replaced that. I then asked them if they could do an electrical inspection of my whole house, which included my tenants apartment and the basement. They agreed to come back the next day. Mike and Bill started in the basement and fixed many, many things that other electricans did inappropriately or didn't bother with at all. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Mike or Bill explained why they were fixing this, or closing up that, or removing old wiring that was disconnected in the basement. I had wiring almost the whole length of the basement hanging below the beams and the guys used large staples to raise it up so it didn't look so bad. They also corrected reverse polarity issues in a couple of rooms in the house. I plan on calling Scherer Electric in the near future to change other electrical lights and outlets in my house. I am VERY pleased with everything they did and would highly recommend them. It is so comforting to know that my house is NOW electrically safe- What a Feeling!

I contacted Scherer Electrical Construction LLC, after reading a number of excellent reviews about the company in Angie's List. I made an appointmen, and Mike Scherer and his assistant arrived on time. We discussed the various things to be done, and he gave me a detailed estimate for the work. The cost sounded fair, I agreed to the estimate, and he began the work that day. Mike completed the work a few weeks later after two new ceiling fixtures I ordered had arrived and could be installed. Mr. Scherer carefully explained what was needed, did all the work with great skill, and was careful to clean all work areas when the installations were complete. Scherer Electrical Construction did a great job!

Their pricing was excellent and they were dependable. I would use them again in the future.

Very well. They came in with cameras and housing inspector. Later the owner went with me to Small Claims court to testify and wouldn't take any money for the time. We began with a recommended contractor who we discovered never was certified and had little experience in such work. You live and you hopefully learn!

It took them a very short time to diagnose the problem, and even though the faulty junction box was in a cramped unfinished attic crawlspace, they went right up without hesitation and repaired it. Mike explained everything, even showing me the faulty connection causing the problem. They were professional, efficient, and courteous, even putting on foot-covering to protect our carpets and flooring. I would recommend Scherer to anyone needing electrical work.

They were respectful of my home and they let me know what they were doing. My only problem was that they were a bit pricey.

They gave me an estimate for the work to be done and then proceeded to look for the problem. Found it quickly and fixed the outlet. The work done was less than the estimate so a new bill was written and they were able to save me about $100.00 on the job.First time I have ever worked with someone who actually lowered the bill. This will be my 1st choice for electrical work in the future and I'm going to recommend them HIghly to all my friends and relatives.

Electrician was professional, courteous, and explained the problem very well. Repair was a bit pricey, but well worth it. No attempt was made to upsell or scam us into thinking the problem was more serious. Also, called after business hours on a Friday night, and we had our power back on within 3 hours - not bad, especially since this was in the middle of an unprecedented heat wave. Our house didn't even have time to heat up! They may be a tad overpriced for basic electrical work, but can't be beat in an emergency.
