Description of Work: They walked in and first told me they couldn't get the stains out. After treatment they said they were out but they were still there when rug dried . The tech tried to charge me an additional $350 I refused but agreed to pay for deodorizer and protector. To their credit they called and said we were over charged. I have not seen a credit yet.

Description of Work: "DO NOT USE! I sent a large expensive oriental rug to them for cleaning. There were no major stains or discolorations....just wanted to refresh the rug after 18 years. Upon delivery I was shocked by the extensive damage to the rug. Damage included dye runs, discoloration, bleached out areas, and pulled threads. It should be noted that the company staples identity tags on to carpets which leave permanent marks on carpets. I spoke to Dorothy and Barbara repeatedly about sending someone to my home to view the damage. They refused to send anyone, stating that they would only pick up the carpet and examine it on site. It was not company policy to send inspectors to homes. In addition, they offered to clean the carpet again at no charge but wanted an additional $1,500 for stain removal! |Having found an expert restorer, I paid $4,000 to restore my rug! Again, I urge you to not use Long Island Carpet Cleaners"

Description of Work: Carpets were cleaned with an extremely high power pressured steam cleaner. I had some concern that the intensity of the vacuum cleaner would leave my carpets "bubbling", thus, no longer fitting tight to the padding and walls. After the crew left two rooms did initially present with these bubbles. However, this went away as the carpets dried over the next 24 hrs.
