"Upon review of The Member's property history, I have found clarification to his statements regarding our service. We had worked for The Member in 1995, 2006 prior to the May 2010 service. We had pumped his septic tank in 1995 through a 6-inch inlet extension. This is not the proper way to pump a septic tank. It was uncovered for us at the time of service, we had no digging or locating involved; all we did was pump the tank from the access provided. In 2006, The Member must have had a backup or a plugged line, we hand dug the inlet and ran a hand snake to clear the line he was charged a minimum service call charge. We were called in May 6, 2010 to provide pumping and a Sanitary Survey for the sale of his home. In doing a Sanitary Survey, we require that the tank is dug and pumped properly. We need access to all three ports on the concrete septic tank; we also inspect the drainage field and all visible components of the septic system, including the plumbing fixtures in the home. At this time we found that the system was in failure. We then made all the proper coordination with the local health department to determine the best and most cost effective system replacement for the The Member and the new owners. On June 11, 2010 after approval of our written contract, we installed two 4ft x 8ft precast drywells with stone collars and concrete covers. We connected the existing septic tank to the distribution box then to the two drywells. Additionally it was required to dig and install a two-line tile field and connect the existing tank to the tile field via a distribution box. All work was approved by the Local Health Department. Unfortunately with the digging to pump the septic tank and the installation of two new drywells and connections, 2-line tile field, yes his yard was disturbed. The contract did not provide for finish grade or topsoil and seed, just equipment grade upon completion. June in our area is usually very wet, and I am sure The Member was eager to get the sale of his home completed; therefore we were put in an undesirable situation for cleanup of his yard."
"Upon review of the history on this case, Sheesley's was contacted on 4/30/13 to snake and televise the sewer line at their home. The work was then rescheduled to 5/3/13. At that time our techs attempted to clean the sewer line using the electric snake and were only able to get out the line about 6 ft. The line was broken under the floor and they brought back stones and grit. To use our video equipment the line needs to be clean therefore we would not use the camera in this case due to no visibility in the line. The customer was charged for only the electric snake service call. An estimate was provided on 5/17/13 to jackhammer the floor, install a sewage basin with pump, plumb existing drain line to main at the front of the home. Drywall and ceiling needed to be cut to access and repaired upon completion. Apparently the cost was not in the price rage that the clients wanted to accept. Therefore her review written the very same day. We try to accomodate our customers of which we have many, some we can make very happy others we cannot. The work that was provided to [Member name removed] was done in a timely manner at our stated costs and we were able to determine the cause of their backup immediately at the time of our service."
