"8/18: Had to use them by way of home warranty company; Egor came out and conducted an exterior visual examination of my 2 air conditioner units and came back inside to say they were low on Freon. Took him a total of 6 minutes. I contacted the Home Warranty. They told me they would have another technician from the same company come out, I contacted this company again, and the person I spoke to said Egor “he’s our senior technician that we send out to fix things and if he said that’s what’s wrong then that’s what it is.” My response, “so, you’re telling me that it’s best practice to not physically inspect an a/c unit and that Egor can visually inspect something and make a diagnosis” them, “yes, that’s correct.” Zero value. Avoid. Update as of 9/13: Clearly, this company stand behind their technician who apparently has x-ray vision and does not have to visually inspect anything nor listen to customers. I finally was able to get a second opinion through the Home Warranty from a different vendor who actually came out and did what most people assume HVAC professionals do, physically look at units and thoroughly explain to customers in a non-condescending way what is going on. Low and behold, guess what? The refrigerant level is NOT low on either units, and there are NO leaks. It turned out to be a completely different issue and had this technician thoroughly done his job then maybe I would not have had to wait 25 days for the air conditioning in my master bedroom to function. Stay away from this company it will save you a whole lot of grief. Once again, it is clear that their management supports shady and predatory practices."

"Focus plumbing I feel extremely disappointed with this company. I have Rheem waterless tank and they put their sticker on the Rheem body so I called them when I have an error code 11 meaning I have a defective igniter. Focus Plumbing came to our house charge me $69 for the labor and $341 for the igniter. I agree because my waterless tank is under manufacturer warranty hoping that I can claim majority of the $341. The plumber said that I may not refund all. That's fine, I'm happy if I can claim even for 50% to 75% as long as the water heater will be fix. Now, when I talked to the manufacturer, the cost of igniter is only $20 and when I tried to look at Home Depot the price is also around $20 but for a reputable and trusted brand - Focus Plumbing it charge me $341 for the parts. I feel betrayed. I rather be scam by a scammer than a trusted brand. I will appreciate if Focus Plumbing give me options such as: "hey I have an Igniter right here but it will cost you 17x than the market value and I can install it right now to fix your problem or since your heater is under warranty, you can call the manufacturer and order the parts and when the parts was delivered to you, you call us again and we will install it but you need to pay for the labor of another $69. What would you like?" If I choose install it now then I have no regret bec of the full and honest disclosure. For now, I feel extremely disappointed and scammed."

"I bought a 57 year old house 2 years ago and have been updating it piecemeal since. As with old houses we hit a snag and called Monte in to help. One of the toilet's drainage pipe's rim (cast iron) was higher than than floor and would have required massive amount of shimming. Monte cut the pipe down (a dicey affair given the age of the pipe and difficulty of cutting through it) and avoided any damage to the glass shower doors a mere 2 feet or less away. He patched and finished the concrete around the hole and worked with me to allow the flooring to be put in before the toilet was installed. 2 toilets and 2 sinks and a hard day's work done, I have the bathroom I hoped for. I've used Monte's company for 12 years and have never been dissatisfied with the work."
