Monte Vista Pet Lodge

During the initial interview process, Rebecca asked us a lot of questions about Annie and took the time to watch Annie and get to know her a little. Being a new puppy parent, I was concerned the first couple of times I left her there, but it's been a great experience. Annie has made two friends and gets so excited when she sees the front door. We have also boarded Annie twice (a total of 10 days). It was hard to leave Annie, but when I called, they gave updates on Annie (who she played with, if she was eating, etc.) The folks there seem to care about Annie (have nicknamed her Annie Bananie) and give us tips on how to train her. It's been a relief to know our puppy is in good hands.

Excellent! They've always been able to accommodate us, often on short notice. Great care for the dogs. They identified a problem with one and kept her on "bed rest" until we returned. Can't say enough about the high quality of care and professionalism at Monte Vista Pet Lodge!

Excellent as usual!  My dog came back happy, tired, and well cared for.

We have used this kennel approximately 6 times for boarding our dogs in the last year. The length of stays have varied from 1 day in doggie day care to 13 days while going to Alaska. We have been thrilled with how well they care for our dogs.

We have also used their grooming services & have been very pleased.

In early December, while we were in Alaska, our female Pomeranian got sick. We were called by the manager, Rebecca, once it became clear our dog needed to go to the vet. Not only did Rebecca take her to OUR vet first thing in the morning, but they gave our dog her medicine until we returned. We also received a couple of phone calls updating us on her status. Of course, we calleto check on her also, but the fact that the employees called us to tell us how our dog was doing was great! We were not charged anything at all for this service except what the vet visit cost. In my opinion, that is excellent service!

The groomer, Adele, does an awesome job & the rates are reasonable. If you have your dog bathed just prior to picking them up from a kennel stay, the rate is reduced, which is a nice feature.

I called Monte Vista to ask if they had space to board my dog for Thanksgiving week. The person on the phone was pleasant and invited me to stop by for a tour. The facility is fairly new and very clean. My dog and I returned the following day for the required "meet and greet." Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. I liked the fact that you could provide your own food and bring blankets your dog uses at home. I picked up my dog yesterday and today Monte Vista called to see how she was doing - a very nice touch!

Went for meet and greet prior to taking dogs to day care. Owner sat on the floor with the dogs, answered all our questions, took us on a tour of the facility, they even have an in ground pool for the dogs.
This facility is cheaper, cleaner than the one I currently use. They also care for special needs animals and you can bring your own dog food, blankets etc for boarding. You can see your dog through the glass in the daycare area and observe how they are doing and their interactions with other dog guests.
The staff was friendly, professional and I felt comfortable (not like they were doing me a favor) leaving my dogs in their hands..
Will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.
