Description of Work: It took more than days than told to contact me. When they initially came out, they did not have repair man with him, had to use my ladder. Were suppose to be back that afternoon. Never came, I had to call them to find out more, came the next day and did the job well, just seemed unorganized for the work to get done.

Description of Work: They came out and did minor service and told me we needed a new roof to the tune of 7K. Another company came out and said the roof was in good shape and only needed minor repairs. they repaired it for $400.

Description of Work: Roof Maintenance Package. Adequate value for the price charged. Inspected/measured roof, did minor caulking, voluntarily provided three written Proposals for a variety of re-roofing options. Proposals did not include bonding/insurance information and required a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions.

Description of Work: Used them for an annual roof maintenance service. Two men who barely spoke English came to do the service. They called the owner in who advised that we need a new roof and provided a quote for that service. Afterward, we had two other roofing contractors come to inspect and were told that we still have 3-4 more years of roof life left. The Marsh people did seal some cracks with tar, but the two roofing contractors advised that the patching was sub-standard and the last one did a much more professional job of sealing cracks.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal from Marsh Construction for a minor roof repair. JK Marsh came; tried to sell me on a new roof. All I wanted was a couple of shingles replaced that blew off. He said he would send his crew to do that work. The crew never did the work. Numerous phone calls to JK resulted in promises the work would be done but it never happened. I stopped calling after six times.

Description of Work: Purchased the $99 special for roof inspection and maintenance. Mr. Marsh did the maintenance on the roof. He said no need to have someone else do the maintenance as he had done that. Then he said I needed a whole new roof and quoted me a price. | |I later e-mailed him and asked for a quote on the new roof in writing, but |never heard back on that. | |I then had an independent home inspector inspect the roof. I told him it had been maintained recently. He said whoever maintained it only serviced about every other place that needed maintenance. | | | |

Description of Work: We hired Marsh Construction to replace a driveway, build a front porch and reroof the entire house. It was done in a timely manner with a reasonable price. When J.K discovered some things that weren't done right, he had the workers correct it. The finished product is well constructed and exactly what we wanted. We get numerous compliments from neighbors, even strangers. HOWEVER: communication is not J.K's strong point. It took a month and many phone calls, text messages, etc to get final corrections to the project. The most surprising part is when we said we wanted to talk about a future project, we never got a response.

Description of Work: JK Marsh put on a new TPO roof, put in new insulation in parts of the house, did drywall repairs, and put in tile. These projects occurred over a period of several months. J K Marsh was very responsive to phone calls, etc.

 + -1 moreAny broadly experienced residential contractor will confirm that a remodeling job on an older home requires greater skill and foresight than any other type of residential work. John of Marsh Construction Company did a wonderful job of negotiating the maze of mixing modern and old materials resolving unforeseen problems. Patiently and unerringly sorting the unworkable to workable ideas. Solving unforeseen problems. Dealing with the building codes and arranging required inspections. Even though the square footage of the addition was small, every aspect of construction was involved. The result was a masterly and craftsman-ly completed job.
