We go back to them every year. They are a prefer shop. Comfortable to what I have seen. I don't know that much. Anytime I have went to an dealership, its a little less. Its comfortable to other vendors.  They do exactly what they say, for what it cost.

for the past 22 years these are the only people i trust - regardless of a flat tire or major repair they come through- you get what you pay for and I know I don't have to worry after my car has been to Foreign Aid

I've been using Foreign Aid on many of my cars, including an older Saab.  They are the most knowledgeable car experts ever!  They know what they're doing, doing it quickly, at a reasonable price! Unbeatable!

These guys are the best!  I've been a customer for about 30 years, and similar to another reviewer's experience, one of the early visits was for something that I thought would be more costly, but the bill was only about $20.  The car wouldn't start, so after AAA did something to get it going, we drove it straight to Foreign Aid.  Where some other places might have replaced the starter, Foreign Aid replaced an inexpensive cable and it was good to go!
Over the years their service has always been prompt, professional, and honest, and they stand by their service 100%.  They do their best, and often above and beyond, to accommodate their customers.  And they're absolutely top mechanics ... a couple of times over the years there were really obscure problems that took a little time to isolate, but they found the issues and fixed them.  If Kenny and Albert can't figure it out, no one can!  I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

I first approached Foreign Aid with my new Toyota Celica GT in 1975, needing a "fix" to a nasty red light that appeared "ON" on my dashboard.  After returning from a round trip bus ride to my office in NYC, I was handed a bill for $18.  "For what?" I asked...and it was for checking my emission controls, and resetting the switch that automatically comes "ON" at 60,000 miles.  The system was fine, and they charged me $18 for their time, and resetting the switch;.  They told me it would return, as would I, at 120,000 miles.
That began a relationship of mechanics and owners that has lasted over 35 years!  I thought that I could work with someone who did not rip me off on first go-around.  For all those years, through my next 5 cars, the crew at Foreign Aid was always available to me, ready to help, ready to improvise with remarkable solutions to strange problems I had (esp with VW Scirroco) for all those years.
Friendly, courteous and innovative staff and mechanics have served me well.  They put up with my crazy worries, and helped me solve conditions with my cars that I found to be odd or mysterious.  Never once, well, maybe once, did they laugh at my insane projections or ideas.
I have seen management change over the years - yet, it seemed to be contiguous and streamlined, thorough and attentive.  I highly recommend anyone with ANY car, but especially foreign cars, to take them to the crew at Foreign Aid.  If Albert and crew can not solve your automotive problems and serve your maintenance requirements, no one could!

I always feel that I am receiving an honest assessment of the problems and pricing that is the same or less than that of a dealer.  I never got the feeling of being talked into an unnecessary repair or service.  This is different from my experience recently at a dealership where I was advised to get about $500 worth of unneeded service. Checking the car's owner's manual and with Albert at Foreign Aid indicated that the service was not called for.

I like them for car repair. They also told me that I needed brake pads during my last visit, but they didn?t do it since they said that I could wait to get it done. I totally trust them. My daughter and I both have a Toyota. My other daughter has a Nissan and we all go there. There is no dealership close to where I stay and so I go to Foreign Aid Inc. The train is right near their service center. So when I was working in the city, I used to drop my car and take the train. They are expensive.

Not the cheapest but extremely reliable. Repairs done exceeded expectations. Car has never run better. When I had another problem with the same window he fixed it no charge. Repairs were completed on time. Price was as estimated, no surprises. Also a nice guy to deal with, doesn't talk down to women.
