Gardens to Grow

Tom was very helpful in the beginning, but soon things changed. Before and at the time of purchase I specifically told Tom where  I wanted the unit, In the basement! I told him that it would have to go through the house. I told him the width of my hallway, I told him the width of my basement door, I told him the width of the basement stairs, and the ninety degree turn the stairs made. To everything, Tom's answer was "No problem! we do this all the time. I'll have three or four guys there and we'll bring the unit down into the basement. Worst case scenario we take the unit apart." The day before delivery Tom came to my house and all kinds of problems seem to arise out nowhere. Then on the day of delivery, instead of three or four guys like he said, only two showed up. The two installers knew nothing about the boiler going in the basement, they were under the impression the unit was going in my garage. After getting Tom to come over, and with much reluctance, the unit was taken apart and brought down into the basement. Tom at the time of purchase amongst many things, said that when I was ready to start burning, he would come over and show me how the unit worked. Needless to say, when the time came, he couldn't make it because he was too "busy".Eventually he did come, but only because the unit wasn't put together properly, and he was three or four hours late, and didn't wait for me to get home (because he was late and I had to leave the house for a few minutes). Ever since the unit was installed and I had a question and tried to call Gardens to Grow, they would never answered the phone. I would have to drive (sometimes my wife) twenty five minutes one way just to ask a question. And this happened multiple times. The last straw came one day last month (November or late September 20011) when Tom picked up the phone and hang up upon hearing my voice. When this guy toke my money nothing was a problem, then everything became a problem. This place is considered a "platinum dealer" by Harman Stoves, what a shame. I hope that I'm alone in having this problem with him, I wouldn't want somebody else to go through the same thing.
