For years, we have used Rover Ranch to board our dogs whenever we go on vacation. Our dogs love it there. They have a wonderful staff and they are very easy to deal with. Our dogs are safe and well cared for when we are at Rover Ranch. We would never go anywhere else.

I haven't used them yet,but my sister-in-law uses their service a few times a month and raves about it! Her dog likes it so much , if you say Rover Ranch she starts jumping around the house and runs to the door.

We love this place, and have been using their services since they opened, 8 years ago. Liz and her staff are warm, friendly, accessible and responsive. During hurricane Sandy when everyone lost power, the owner took my dog home with her as we were out of the country and couldn't pick up our dog. The place is very clean, the dogs are supervised at all times and they have web cameras so you can watch during the day from any computer, iphone or ipad. Max and Ethan are great managers and are knowledgeable, they were helpful when I was having some training issues. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a dog who is looking for daycare, boarding or grooming. They also sell holistic pet food, treats and toys.

I started using Rover Ranch for doggy daycare a few months ago. I had researched several doggy daycare places in the area but found the Rover Ranch and Spa delivered the best level of service and value. I am a big fan of the Rover Ranch’s cageless doggy day care concept where the dogs can roam and play, vs. being stuck in a cage for most of the day.
The Rover Ranch staff supervises the dogs throughout the day and are friendly and quite knowledgeable. I like the fact that they have multiple procedures in place to ensure my dog Winston is as safe. They conduct an initial evaluation of all new dogs to make sure they are not aggressive and will get along with the other dogs. They require that all dogs be up to date on their shots. The staff separate out the dogs into smaller and larger dog play group which are placed in 2 separate play areas. The staff watch, play with, supervise and interact with the dogs and really seem to make sure the dogs are having fun!
I especially enjoy watching my dog on occasion on their Rover Cams from any web browser. I like the fact that the dogs get a 1 hour long mid-day rest break where they are placed in smaller pens. The place seems very clean and is very safety oriented. The dogs get fresh drinking water throughout the day which is changed often. And they even walk the dogs outside a few times during the day as well. I would highly recommend Rover Ranch to anyone looking for a doggy daycare place as well as boarding.

I started using Rover Ranch for doggie daycare about 6 months prior to the date listed above, and had generally good experiences with them. Everyone seemed fairly friendly. And I especially liked that I could watch the dogs play via webcam on their website. However, sometimes all the good days in the world can't make up for the exceptionally bad. We had a very rainy weekend in March, and I had decided to put my dog in daycare that Monday so I could work in peace without having pent up doggie energy running circles around me. My husband dropped our dog off around 7:30 that morning. By noon, I had received word that a couple of local streets were getting ready to close due to a local river cresting from all the rain. I had decided to leave work early so I could give myself plenty of time with potential traffic to get to Rover Ranch to pick up my dog. Rover Ranch closes at 7pm during the week. I only work 5 miles away, but I left work at 4pm to really make sure I would have plenty of time. By 6:30, I was 4 miles into my trip (many more roads had closed, including portions of Route 46 and Route 80, along with Bloomfield Ave and Passaic Ave in certain areas). I called Rover Ranch to let them know what was going on, and I was told to give them an update in 15 minutes. So at 6:45, I called them again, and I was only a half mile away. I was told (very rudely actually) that if I didn't get there by 7pm, the doors would be locked and I wouldn't be able to pick my dog up. I pleaded with the man to stay open an extra 10-15 minutes, but he got very rude with me and said he would not do it, and my dog would be stuck staying overnight. He didn't care that my dog needed special medication. He refused to stay open. After taking 2 hours to get home (3 miles from Rover Ranch) without my dog, I was obviously very upset. My husband left at 6am the next morning to pick him up and was there waiting for them to open. We were forced to pay an overnight boarding fee. When they got home, I couldn't help but notice the overwhelming smell of urine on my dog. I was told someone was staying there all night with the dogs. If that was the case, why was he covered in urine? I had to give him two baths, and wash every single item he came in contact with to get rid of the smell. I never went back there again.
