Did not use Seashore's services for the project that we contacted them on. However, it did take them about five months to get an estimate to me, and when we did receive the estimate, we felt it was excessive!

Needed roof tear off and re-shingle and replacement of custom fascia due to hail damage. Price was competitive and honest. Contact and crew were knowledgeable. Dealt mostly with Mike Jeffries and Jeff Hart, both were very responsive. I would recommend seashore construction for any project.

It took too long to get a quote and schedule the work, but once past that, everything was fine.

Our 4 Condo Assoc. buildings were in dire need of new roofs as there were 3 old roofs on top of each other on each building (unbeknownst to the current board) and we had a roof breach (leak/collapse) in one of our building immediately after Hurricane Sandy struck. A temporary repair was made to repair Sandy's damage to one roof and damaged condo unit but the Board immediately set out on the task of sizing up our needs, how we could pay/finance this big huge project, seek bids from roofing contractors and move forward. We also hired a local architect who had many years of experience in commercial buildings as we wanted it done RIGHT! After much review/scrutiny, we hired Seashore Construction Corp. in Jan. 2013 to install the first roof in March 2013 and finished our 4th and final roof on Wed. 10/29/2014. Our biggest concerns were that ALL 4 roof were flat roofs and we wanted and needed PITCHED roofs installed for entire rain/snow water run-off with no lying water remaining. Additionally, the buildings all had internal drains that literally ran down through the insides of the 3 story buildings. It was the Board's decision to fully eliminate this type of drainage system and have outside downspouts installed with all new roof scuppers installed along with drainage crickets to make sure the pitch was right for water runoff down to the street level for proper drainage. We spaced the roof projects over a time frame so that we could schedule the work in the off-season and not disrupt our owners, or their renters, during the peak summer vacation season. . After we saw the quality and detail of the first roof, the Board agreed in unison to retain Seashore for the remaining 3 roof projects and we signed contracts with them and also set schedules up to space the work out according to need (one other roof was in need of immediate replacement) and then spaced the other roof jobs out accordingly. on-site workers were kind and courteous to our owners who do live on-site and very clean, I cannot stress that enough! and polite too. The owners of Seashore (Gary & Anthony Johnson) were so wonderful to work with and they explained all parts of each roof job in detail and the quality of work to be done, the benefits of new pitched white GAF product roofs and the warranty (25 year) and guarantees for each roof along with annual inspection schedule. We are extremely happy, pleased and thankful for the phenomenal job they did on our building's roofs & drainage systems. Estimate provided by Mike Jeffries, very knowledgeable and professional. Spent about 45 minutes with me walking the property and noting requested repairs. He took detailed notes and photos of the damaged areas. Estimate was provided within a week. Repair foreman called the day before to confirm work could be started and went over punch list with me. All work complete within two days...repair crew did the work on day 1 and gutter crew on day 2. Inspected quality of work and very satisfied with quality. All debris removed by work crews...very neat and tidy. All work performed per estimate, no cut corners here. I will certainly use Seashore again!

Crews showed at times scheduled. Removed old door and prepped for new one. Ran into a problem created by the door manufacturer (which I had ordered separately) and worked up a fix as well as contacted the dealer through who I got it. Door was installed as best it could given the wall was out of plumb (did I mention it's a 100 year old house?) Dorr works like a charm. The next day the fellows came in to repair the plaster around the door and also did an excellent job. All were professional, courteous, hard working and true craftsmen. Would highly recommend to all, regardless of the size of the job or type of work.

We developed a leak during a rain storm. I found a few roofers on Angie's List and called them for estimates. I settled on Seashore Consturction, but was nervous because of the wait before the work could be done. But Mike Jeffries offered to send someone who would attempt to make a temporary repair. The tempory repair was made, and it held through two subsequent rain storms. Another very heavy rain storm hit early in the week that we were scheduled for the work to be done, and we did get a bit of water during that storm. I'm pretty sure things would have been worse if the temporary fix had not been made. On the scheduled day, the crew arrived around 8:30 and got right to work. When the crew supervisor noticed me, he walked over and introduced himself. The sides of the house were protected with canvas that ran from the roof down to ground level. The men worked non-stop on installing the new roof, finishing the installation around 2:30. The clean up was complete. I was worried about nails on the driveway, but didn't find a single one. We haven't had rain since the installation, but I'll submit another report if there's a problem in the future. We received a call from a companiy manager the following day asking if I had any questions about the work that was done. Right now, we couldn't be happier with Seashore Constuction.

Excellent experience! They did a thorough examination of the roof and provided a thorough and professional estimate (unlike another company that stayed 5 minutes, looked at roof from ground, provided a three sentence estimate for about 10k more!). When they did the job, the team was prompt, hardworking, and expert in their roles. No debris or nails was left behind. The roof is beautiful. It is a complex roof with several valleys. I could not be more pleased with the entire experience.

He didn't always call me back. I feel like I did wait a long time to get his place. It was never a bad experience either. The quote was equivalent to purchasing a new home. It wasn't purely unpleasant. They gave me his phone number so I could call him directly. He has always been professional.

There were some early delays in this process, and one misstep that worried me. I received a written estimate of $2,750 and accepted it in late May, paying 50%, and was told they would schedule the work for mid-June. I called the 3rd week of June to find out when they would do the work, and after a few days got a call back that they had "mis-priced" the job, and that it would be $800 more! I reluctantly agreed, and paid an additional $400 deposit. In any event, on July 7th they started the job, and the work was done very well. I would hire them again, because of the quality of their work, and would hope that next time their front-end process (specifically the estimating) would be better.

Very professional!! From the women in the office, to the estimator to the guys doing the work. They provided details on what they were doing every step of the way. They took lots of pictures to document the work. They cleaned up after themselves and most off all the arrived when they said they would and did what was needed without doing to much since they knew we were going to be doing a major job on the outside of the condo in the fall due to the bad workmenship that was originally done. I really appreciated their professionalism and helping me understand the problem!!

HOMEOWNER BEWARE SEASHORE CONSTUCTION HAD A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE WORK THEY PERFORMED ON MY HOUSE MAY 2010. UNFORTUNATELY , THE WORK HAS FAILED. SIIDDING GLASS DOOR THEY INSTALLED LEAKED AND THE FIBERGLASS DECK HAS ALSO LEAKED LEAVING THE NEW PLYWOOD WARPED AND MOLDY . I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND ALSO HAD MY ATTORNEY WRITE THEM A LETTER. THESE EFFORTS HAVE ALL WENT UNANSWERED. GARY SENIOR DIDN'T RESPOND TO ME OR MY ATTORNEY. IN ADDITION TO NOT BACKING THE WORK THEY PERFORMED ON MY HOUSE.... 1. THEY COVERED ROTTED WOOD AND NEVER BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION WHEN DECK WAS TOTALLY OPEN . 2. THEY NEVER CLOSED THE BUILDING PERMIT THAT THEY TOOK OUT ( WHEN I DISCOVERED I HAD AN OPEN PERMIT ) I HAD THE MARGATE BUILDING INSPECTOR JAMES GALANTINO COME OVER TO GIVE ME A FINAL INSPECTION. HE FAILED SEASHORE CONSTRUCTION'S WORK. 3. MARGATE BUILDING DEPTARTMENT CITED HIM WITH A VIOLATION NOTICE ALL THESE EFFORTS HAVE GONE UNANSWERED !

From the first contact, communication was good. Any delay (it was weather related) was communicated to us right away. All of our questions were answered without any double talk. If there were things we could do ourselves, i.e. sills, quarter round in the windows, they let us know to keep the cost down, when they very well could have thrown those things in and jacked up the price. I truly appreciated that, and the helpful advice they gave us on the things we did do ourselves. The price was actually a little lower than what I expected. The quality of work was professional and well done; I expect to use them on future projects.

They were okay for roof but were expensive for electrical. The roofers were non-English speaking; it was very hard to communicate. They left an oil mark on the lawn, and now the lawn won’t grow in that spot. The roof looks really good.

They were very nice. They were punctual and did a good job.

It didn't go quite as planned. I had gotten 3 estimates on roof. I ended up needing 70 sheets of plywood. I got a good price on the job. The roof looks good, and I am satisfied. Gave me a year warranty. I was able to speak with the owner himself.

In process of finalizing contract very professional so far.

The representative came out, supposedly checked the roof and was to contact, via email, repair costs. It was after Christmas when the rep. "checked" the roof, we have not heard from this company. This is the second time we called for same repairs. We are under the impression if it is not a big, money making job, they will not respond. Would not recommend or call this company again.

Initially it did leak, but they came back and sealed the area and it seems to be ok now.

THEY TOOK OUR DEPOSIT OF $5,462.50 AND DISAPPEARED! READ THEIR REVIEWS THAT AREN'T ALL "A's" - SIMILAR STORIES OVER AND OVER! 10/2/13 - We returned our signed proposal with the REQUIRED UPFRONT DEPOSIT OF $5,462.50. We explained to them that we needed the work done as soon as possible because the roof is leaking. 10/31/13 - NO WORD from them since they took our deposit so I called to check on timing. NO RESPONSE! 11/1/13 - SEASHORE TOLD ME THEY HAD THE PERMIT BUT I CALLED OCNJ PLANNING AND THEY SAID THEY LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND HAD NO RECORD OF AN APPLICATION FILED FOR WORK ON MY HOME. ONE MONTH AFTER I GAVE THEM MY DEPOSIT AND SEASHORE HADN'T EVEN FILED FOR THE PERMIT!! 11/6/13- STILL NO RESPONSE FROM THEM WITH A START DATE!

They were on time and cleaned up after themselves!

Seashore was excellent. I am the President of the Condominium Association and have been dealing with an endless string of fly-by-night contractors at the Jersey Shore for years. With Seashore, I feel as though I have finally found a contractor that I can rely on. They were on time for every aspect of the job from quoting, performing the work, and final inspection. After every job I walk around the building and check out the work and it was as though Seashore was never there. They cleaned up everything. They also have an office and administrative staff. So, when you call you actually talk to a person instead of leaving a message with a machine and waiting for a contractor to call you back. I highly recommend this company. Very Professional.
