Returned to Cottman for replacement of heater core. Quoted price was about 40% less than two other garages for this service, final price was less still -- AND a windshield washer repair was performed for free. I can't say enough about the value offered by this firm AND the integrity of the owner.

Excellent service. (1) Finding a transmission for a 2003 Eurovan is no easy matter -- another local garage was unable to do so, but Cottman did. (2) We were told we would have a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty, but at time of pick-up advised there had been an error and it should have been 1 year/12,000 miles. We complained, Cottman interceded with the supplier and honored their original offer. That sort of integrity merits appreciation!

They replaced a transmission in my son's then 11 yo 4runner. He was away from home in Wilmington doing an internship at the time. They were very professional in dealing with us over the phone, describing the various options etc. It is now 16 months later and the transmission is still going strong.

My son was using my 4 Runner to go the beach. He had a problem with the transfer case on the way down. Cottman worked with us to get the vehicle towed, road tested and replaced the transfer case during the week he was at the beach. The cost was much lower than expected. They communicated and resolved all of the issues quickly and kept me informed as the repairs progressed.

They are great, they do good work, and service, and stand behind what they say. Timing is important, if they say they will have it by a certain date or time, they do. They stand behind what they do, and it is very competitive. I did some other quotes around, and they were extremely competitive.

They have done several jobs for me. They rebuilt my trucks transmission probably 2 years ago, and I recently was having some issues with the 4 wheel drive switch, which I thought was related to the transmission, but it was not, and they replaced the switch. That was 6 months ago.

The trans was so bad the truck had to be towed to the shop. Cottman arranged for pickup of the truck, called the same day with an estimate and had it repaired in two days from being towed in.

The work was good, the transmission worked fine but we sold the van a couple of years ago. They got the job out of the shop as promised, and it was priced slightly better than other bids. They even took a couple of percentage points off of the completed price for a cash payment. If they hadn't done that I would have used my credit card (which would have cost them that much).
