    I've been boarding my dog at Hoffman Haus for the past 9 years (usually for a few days at a time) and getting him groomed there for the past 7 years. He loves going and is always in excellent health and spirit when I come to pick him up. The staff is excellent. The entire place is spotless; everyone seems to be genuinely interested in caring for animals. I regularly recommend them to anyone asking about boarding and grooming.

    The office staff are very nice, efficient and thoughtful each time we come. The staff are friendly and happy and seem to enjoy their jobs and working with animals. The groomer was especially sweet with our dog. Each time when I pick him up he does not seem at all stressed and he has been at other places so this tells me he is getting good care here and he is comfortable. We have boarded him here for over a week at several times. He seems happy each time we go back! They seem to be aware of his specific needs and keep notes for the next visit. Their facility is nice with individual runs for each dog! We have been very pleased!

    I can't say enough good things about this kennel. The dogs were in one area and the cat was in another. The dogs had outside time several times a day and played with the workers there. I'm well pleased with them and will take them back again.

    We arrived on time for our appointment and were greeted by all the front desk staff in a very polite manner. They all took a few moments while we were waiting to be seen to come and interact with our puppy. Dr. Hayes arrived in an appropriate amount of time to give a few followup shots to last weeks visit. He answered many different questions we had about our puppy in regards to training, vaccinations, and medical concerns. He gave us a detailed description of all medical concerns that may arise with our pet as well as telling us that our breeder seemed to be skilled in that our puppy was healthy and had received adaquate care to this point. Dr. Hayes was very friendly and personable, and showed true concern for our knowledge of our puppy and of its current and future health. We were very satisfied with this experience and are comforted to know that we chose a vet who seems to genuinely enjoy his profession and care for his charges.

    Do not take your pet there to have them groomed! I took my two small dogs to be groomed. At first everyone was very nice. I spoke with the groomer and described exactly what I wanted and she was also very sweet to my dogs. However, when I returned to pick them up neither of them looked how I wanted. She didn't follow any of my requests. One of the dogs was shaved and I specifically told her NO SHAVING! The other one didn't even look any different, like he wasn't even groomed. Lastly, they gave us a report dog got an F(forget it will do better next time) and the other a C (could be better)....who does that when they want you to come back?? At least they didn't bite your finger off!! This is what I got for $50. I will not go back!

    It’s difficult to find groomers who know how to handle this bread of dog. I only recommend Kristin at this location only if you meet with her personally before you leave your dog. Otherwise the grooming is terrible. The manager is a bit slick. He once told me that Kristen would be doing the grooming and I learned she did not.

    they gave my dog a C grade when the place i go to now doesnt even have to put her in the neck loop and states she is the best. they also billed me wrong and i paid for services upon picking up my dog, then they tried to bill me more later rather than eating the cost for improperly billing me initially.

    I took my puppy there (almost 2 years old) and, for some reason, she yelped as they were walking her back. She's been uncomfortable lately with strangers so I wasn't too concerned. When I picked her up a few hours later, she looked good on initial glance and they told me that it took her a while to warm up to them but she did eventually. They also said they did not do her bottom as they did not want her to yelp. After I got her home, I got to looking at her and there is a spot on her side that looks like maybe the guard came off of the clippers because it's like a super short spot. Also, not only was her bottom and "girlie area" not clipped, it did not even look like it had been washed...same with her tail. Her whole body was soft and silky but her tail was still coarse and dry feeling and not at all trimmed. I will not be returning nor can I recommend them.

    I have been using Barbara's for about 10 years.  I have always felt intimidated by her personality.  She is extremely abrupt and has no concern for the harshness she portrays.  My first red flag with her was after the death of my Bichon pup.  I called to cancel his appointment and she asked my why.  I told her he had deceased and she was sympathetic and asked what happened.  I explained he had severe pancreatitis and wasn't able to overcome it as he was an older dog.  She said Aw, that is what feeding those McDonalds cheeseburgers will do to your dog.  I was horrified.  I felt as if she was blaming us for his recurrent pancreatitis even though I knew that wasn't the case.  We continued to use her until she cut my other dog too close and I started going elsewhere.  I eventually came back to her since the other place was no better.  I have two Shih Tzu girls and each time I pick them up, one will have an ok haircut and the other will have an awful cut.  I think her hubby helps and he is no groomer, but super nice man. Rather than complain and find a new groomer I felt too intimidated by Barbara and kept going back month after month.  Two weeks ago was the last straw.  My mom and I dropped off our Shih Tzu's and when we went to pick them up, Barbara met us in the parking lot to take us for a tour of her renovated house.  When we picked up the dogs, Craig, her hubby, said my mom's dog had pooped in his cage.  When he brought him over to us I noticed something black on his back paw.  I thought this was some of the pooh, he had failed to clean off of him.  Rather than question or embarass him, we just took the dog and left.  After my mom got him home, she noticed the area was a sore and not pooh.  She called Barbara who answered the phone extremely friendly and was inquiring into an upcoming trip.  When my mom mentioned her dog's paw she just gave the phone to her husband in mid conversation.  He then told my mom that the dog had gotten his paw caught in the cage.  He said they had used septic to stop the bleeding.  Never apologized, but blamed it on the dog.  He was taken to the vet and had to have his toenail removed.  The vet advised my mom to take the bill to Barbara, but we are just going to switch groomers. I always felt a gut instinct that if she was rude and unfriendly to us and other family members who took their dogs to her, what was she like with the dogs when we were not there.  I will definitely not use her again and would not suggest anyone else do so either.
