Our hours are clearly outlined as Monday-Friday 9-5. That Monday you requested a refund. It is a good idea to look at a companies office hours, and not expect to be contacted outside of those times. Description of Work: I emailed to insure that they understood and agreed that what appeared to be square footage on our house's footprint above 2500 ft is created by a finished basement. They did not show up at all for the first appointment, or contact us to let us know, but were on time for the 2nd. | |After the owner finished he said there would be a$30 surcharge and, when I explained about the basement and told him I had emailed days before to confirm that he understood and agreed, he stated that he had not had time to read his emails and that it would be an extra $30 above the cost of the "deal". He then assured me that it was still a really good price which was irritating to say the least. I paid, since he had already finished and I didn't feel I had a choice, but beware of ad-on charges if you use them.

[removed member's name], You purchased an Angie's List gutter cleaning deal that cover's up to 2,500 sqft. The information for the deal you purchased clearly states that there is an additional $15 charge for every 500 sqft above 2,500 sqft. It says nothing about only charging for the gutter footprint. In fact, it also states that there is an additional charge for 3 story homes. As I explained to you before I arrived for our scheduled appointment, and after the service was completed, you were charged in accordance with deal. Three story homes require additional time, work, and coverage to complete. All of these things add to the cost of the service. We have, in great detail, written out every bit of information one needs in order to know how much their service will cost before you even make the purchase. We also email the exact cost of the service before the appointment to insure that there is no confusion before, during, or after the service. There are never any surprise costs or additional charges that are not brought to your attention well in advance. You emailed me the night before our appointment, and I did not read your email until you brought it to my attention after the service was completed. Regardless, when you make a purchase through Angie's List you are already purchasing at a discounted price. Trying to haggle the price down despite all pricing information being included with deal is inappropriate. Potential clients, please note that despite this individual giving us an overall D grade, they graded us at an A for quality of work. You can rest assured that not only will you receive a great service with us, you will know exactly how much your service will cost well in advance of your service. -Michael Hall
