Michael is great, friendly and professional! He is a down to earth guy and you can tell he works hard. He communicated very well thru email and was on time. This is the 2nd time he has been out for our gutters. He even takes the time to inspect around the roof to see if anything needs attention.

We were very pleased with Michael and Oak City Home Services. We purchased a deal from Angie's List for gutter cleaning and pressure washing. We were promptly contacted, scheduled, and the work was completed on time. They did a good job, and we would recommend them.

Michael was efficient and house looked great afterwards

No one showed up. I called a couple days later to reschedule and no one was available.

The provider seemed genuinely sorry to be unable to meet his commitment and had good communications with me. However, in the end, the service needed to be cancelled. On the day of the service, the provider was arrive in the morning. That morning, he pushed it to 5PM. At 4PM, the provider said the weather looked threatening and had to cancel. Due to personal commitments, he would be unable to reschedule for at least 6 weeks.

Everything went well. The company done both an excellent and through job. Any questions or concerns I had was addressed immediately.

The job had to be rescheduled due to weather, but we were very happy with the end result. Everything was cleaned and all debris was disposed of. We would use this provider again.

It went great! Within 24 hours of purchasing the Angie's List deal, Michael was in touch to schedule service. He also told me of other services he could do while on site. We scheduled the time and he arrived exactly as expected on the day. The pressure washing service was very thorough. He started to clean my windows but had stop because it began to rain. He came back the next afternoon to complete the job and clean my gutters. Everything is immaculate. I didn't even know my windows could be that clean! I've already recommended him to my neighbor and will definitely be in touch in the future for additional service.

I am very impressed by the service. Michael Todd, owner of Oak City Home Services, kept me informed about when he would come. He actually arrived today a little earlier than planned; which was fine! Michael stayed 4 hours. In addition to the Good Deal purchase ($149), which was the basic exterior house cleaning, we also asked Michael to clean the gutters on our house and garage; as well as clean all of the windows on the outside. I had let Michael know in advance that we wanted extra services; and, he let me know the approximate cost in advance. Michael was very professional, stopped to answer my husband's and my questions; paid attention to detail (covering the doorbell with tape during the washing, cleaning the inside of two of our doors with full windows in them because some of the cleaning solution got inside; and, blowing the leaves/debris from the gutters off of the sidewalk and driveway); and, organized. We had also asked him to clean 4 very badly soiled canvas awnings. He tried to clean them; but, couldn't. They were too far gone. He didn't charge for the awnings. The cost for the additional services, above the basic cleaning, was $205. I will definitely call on Michael again.

He did a great job cleaning out the gutters and helping to fix one of our sagging gutters. He was very progessional and did a fabulous job, but was just not as responsive as I would have liked. I think he may have been flooded with clients and had a little trouble keeping up. But he did a great job and I would use him again.

He cleaned the gutters, gave me an update on their condition, and then let me add on the dryer vent cleaning as well. Overall great experience!

Coordinating schedules proved difficult.

It went well. There was a little bit of confusion but that wasn't really their fault but it went well.

Although I wasn't home when the service was performed, my husband was, and in regard to the provider, he said, "You would have liked him. He was young, professional and direct." A neighbor came by after the cleaning was complete and asked for the name of the person who did the job - will probably call him based on our results. I must admit, I don't know how good the price was - didn't do my homework there but needed the job done, and since this was a "big deal" offer, I assumed the price was at least reasonable.

Didn't like that they didn't remove the tape on my outdoor outlets before leaving, but other than that, as expected.

Trouble scheduling at first, but once the work was done, it was done great. I contacted him after the work was done, and he contacted me back very quickly.

Gutters cleaned and inspected as requested. Cost more than deal price because property >2500 square feet, this was stated in promotion, so no surprise costs. Very professional.

Did not show up or contact on scheduled date

Initially, the communication was good (responsive) and Oak City Homes provided a date on which the services would be performed. Michael noted that we would not have to be home at the time of the service. He inquired as to whether we'd be interested in additional services (such as pressure washing, etc.) and we expressed interest in at least a quote for pressure washing after his visit. Michael was a no show / no call on the service date. I sent a message through Angie's List inquiring as to whether the service was re-scheduled and simply not communicated. We also checked our gutters daily just in case they came and provided the service and just dropped the ball with the communication. We never received a response from Michael; but our gutters were cleaned approximately 2 days after our appointment was scheduled. However, we would not have known had we not checked our gutters each day to see if the service was performed. Overall, as you see by the ratings, the quality of work was good and the cost was quite affordable. There was little-to-no debris left behind and our gutters look clean. However, we have yet to receive a quote for the pressure washing and yet to hear back from Oak City Homes from our messages (although to be fair, there's not much of a reason to communicate after the service). I am sure they are busy from the response to the deal they published; but I would have preferred better communication (a re-schedule appointment, confirmation that the service was performed, the quote for pressure washing, etc.); but the actual work seems to be good.

After a significant amount of time passing, poor communication, and lots of excuses (including telling me they don't come at 8AM--when that was the time Michael last proposed coming), I cancelled the service. I will attempt to get someone more reliable to do the gutter cleaning. If you want to be frustrated and delayed in getting your work done, these are the folks to do business with.

had some miscommunication about the appointment up front but after that was cleared up, service was satisfactory
