Tuscan Ridge employees care very much for each and every animal that they care for. The last thing that we had to have done is major surgery on our little pups legs. Dr, Harper has been nothing but wonderful dealing with not only my dog, but with me and my concerns. Every employee there is great and their day care program is something that my big dog LOVES and gets so excited about.

It went well. She seemed fine when we picked her up, and played well with other dogs, they said. The time with other dogs is good for exercise and socialization for our dog.

It went great! I love their COVID protocols. I have been going to Harmony for 5+ years. I recently moved about 40 mins away and still choose Harmony because their care is top-notch. Any issue I have ever had, they have been very responsive. Honestly, they think of more than I do - I have never had a vet with this level of client communication. I don't even have a particular vet preference because the care is consistent across all the vets. Their dental protocols are specialty level. I have a french bulldog who has extensive needs. Harmony recommended pet insurance and it has allowed me to have her needs met and not break the bank. My other pup is 16 years old, and I am convinced that the care they have given him has added years to his life and kept him vibrant.

Original Review: My dog was boarded at Sunny Acres and contracted Kennel Cough. ***** agreed to a refund, but then conveniently could not recall the conversation and will not stand by her word. Do not use this facility. My vet reported that they were never contacted to confirm that he was up to date on his vaccinations. If they didn't check my dog, means they didn't check others and this is against the law. reviews from Sherry Holt, sherry.holt@ymail.com (zip code: 27302) on 10/15/2019 Business Comment: We expected this review due to a surprise mediated phone call prompted by the customer, her credit card company, and myself where the company ruled in our favor. Kennel Cough is a viral illness. Just as human colds may be caused by many different viruses, kennel cough itself can have multiple causes. One of the *most common* culprits is a bacterium called Bordetella Bronchiseptica m, which is why the vaccine is called Bordetella. So, you can think of it like the flu shot for people. Just because you get the flu shot, does not guarantee that you will not contract the flu. You could contract a different strain of the flu not covered by the vaccine. You could still go to the grocery store, touch something and pick up a cold. You send your kids to daycare or school and they can come back with a cold. However, you don't see a lot of parents asking for a refund on tuition because their child got a runny nose and a cough. And by no means am I suggesting that this is no big deal either. We sympathize with this customer on her dog's sickness. We NEVER want a pet to feel ill. We love them so we spend our days cleaning and sanitizing every run, airing out buildings and REQUIRE all dogs are vaccinated with the Bordetella vaccine, all to help reduce the chances of exposure or the spread of infection. There is absolutely no way her vet said we did not call because we ABSOLUTELY DID. We had her vaccine information prior to boarding along with EVERY SINGLE PET that has ever stepped foot in our facility. We proved that to her when she asked us what the due dates were for her dog's vaccinations. We require it because we actually care about what happens to the pets. But that doesn't mean that we believe we should refund entire stays or be responsible for vet bills when your pet could just as easily pick something up in a dog park, brewery or any other public place you can take your pet. We hope your pet feels better soon and we hope that everyone reading this review understands the illness. Ask your veterinarian for further information if you still feel uncomfortable after reading this review. comment from Business on 10/16/2019 Customer Comment: I expected this response as Donna makes up things as she goes. This should not have been a surprise as I had respectfully requested a refund and it was agreed upon. I was told that their computers were down and that when they came back online, I would be issued a refund. I waited, but never received the refund. I contacted my cc company to dispute and while I was on hold they contacted Donna. Just to be clear, the credit card company did not rule in her favor, they advised us both that since this was a service and not a product, they would only try to mediate a resolution. Donna was also supposed to call me back when their computers were back online to provide me with proof of the vaccination dates, again, she did not follow through on her promise. I most certainly asked my vet if they had been contacted and they said they had not. I don't know if she really had the info on the date of my original call, or contacted them after the fact, but I was told they were not contacted. She references being responsible for vet bill, never did I request reimbursement for any vet bills. I only requested a refund for the 110.25 spent on boarding. A weekend boarding, along with vet bills and two days off work cost me $1238.75. I didn't think a refund of 110.25 was asking too much. I stand by my review, pet lovers beware - avoid this place at all cost! comment from S Holt on 10/24/2019

I took my dog here to get an x-ray because he was limping. Dr. Rosenoff, the owner of Noah's Ark, was our vet. He took the x-ray of my dog's leg and said that it was not broken and probably was just a soft tissue injury. I took my dog to another vet 3 weeks later because he was still limping, and because Dr. Rosenoff's bedside manner was terrible. (My dog is afraid of the vet and Dr. Rosenoff finds that "irritating"). The second vet looked at the x-rays from Noah's Ark and she said that she immediately saw that my dog's leg was broken. (She looked at the x-rays before I got there). She said she couldn't believe he missed this. She called it an "elementary mistake" and said that even a graduate student should have seen it. She recommended that I report his negligence to the Veterinary Medical Board. I am in the process of doing that now. I also asked Dr. Rosenoff for a refund, considering he misdiagnosed my dog and caused him to walk around on a broken leg for three weeks, and I had to get another set of x-rays to assess what further damage was caused from him not receiving proper treatment to start with. Dr. Rosenoff refused to give me any money back.

WEST HILLS VETERINARY CTRI live in Wake Forest so it's a bit of a hike (30 miles) to West Hills, but it's totally worth it to see Dr. Ragle. She is not only knowledgeable and professional, but it's evident that she truly cares for my animals. She has a great 'bedside' manner and is really good about explaining what she is doing. I really appreciate that she takes the time to educate me to ensure that I understand what is happening with my animals so that I feel comfortable. The front desk staff is also wonderful. When I drop my babies off it feels like I'm leaving them with friends.- Kellie D.

Penny PInching PoochesWe dropped our Labradoodle puppy off for her 3rd grooming appointment after having her groomed elsewhere on 2 previous occasions. The groomer couldn't have been more attentive, carefully listening to what we requested and delivering her back to us happy as she could be. She doesn't shy away from going to her regular grooming and always comes out exactly as we expected. We had one occasion where the hair around her eyes was not quite as short as we wanted it but didn't realize it until a few days after her appt. I called PPP and they had us bring her back and it was remedied free of charge. We've been using them for almost a year now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's a well-run daycare/grooming services, etc. You won't be disappointed.- Anne R.

Bark & Bath Mobile Grooming SalonJean came highly recommended 11 years ago to groom my baby, Jazzi. She has always been wonderful with my little girl. She does an excellent job and there are no other dogs when she is groomed. I do not allow Jazzi around other dogs unless I know them well because she is small and I don't want her to get hurt. I don't think there is a better groomer anywhere. Jean is a true dog lover. If you have a large dog, her husband has his business and a van for the larger dogs.- Judy T.

GroomingdalesA+ ...we love Groomingdales... Our dog sometimes likes to snip at the clippers, hairdryer, etc... however the team at Groomingdales was awesome. Colleen has groomed our dog several times now and we are completely satisfied. Collen shows our dog a lot of TLC and really does a great job embracing the situation. We are thankful to find a local business like this to take care of your needs. We highly recommend them if you are looking for pet grooming.- Brian M.

NORTH PAW ANIMAL HOSPITALThat's where my dogs go when they need a shot, when they need new pills, when they to be boarded, get a bath, all that kind of stuff. We love them or otherwise we wouldn't go. We pay what they ask so it's fine. I like them. They're always nice to me.- CATHERINE P.

petsmartThe girl that does my dog does a great job. They are reasonable. More reasonable than having someone come to your house. I understand why they would be a little more expensive. I think they are very reasonable. They do well. If you can find one person that does a good job. If you do a recommendation and make an appointment with that person. My dogs are schnauzers and they have to be cut short on some places and long on other places. It takes someone still to do that. It was like $100 and I have two dogs. It is really not that bad.- Kay P.
