They informed me at time of making the appointment that it would take a couple of hours. They were very helpful and detailed each step along the way. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and explained what was happening and what was going to happen next. The doctors were very helpful and listened to all my questions and concerns and answered all my questions in a language I could understand. They explained exactly how much the procedure was going to cost and what to expect and to do before, during and after the procedure. I have had to postpone my surgery but they will follow up at a later time to check in with me.

I've been wanting to get laser eye surgery for over a decade now and finally decided this was THE YEAR I was going to get over my fear. The support of the staff and doctors at Providence Eye made it an easy decision for me. First, I like that they DO NOT do groupons since surgery on my eye is not something I want discounted. Second, the consultation to see if I was a candidate was FREE, yet the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. I felt like they took the consultation very seriously and appropriately weighed whether I actually was a good candidate for this. Third, scheduling of the surgery was effortless. I had several dates/times to choose from. Fourth, surgery was easy. They have surgery days so there are several candidates getting their surgeries done in a row, which can sometimes make you feel like you're just a number and not an individual. I felt completely supported throughout the process and within just over an hour, I was on my way to being contact-free. Since then, I have been attending my series of follow-ups and can now see 20/15. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this particular practice if you are thinking of getting your eyes done. Best decision ever!

Dr. Mozayeni performed my laser vision correction surgery in January 2007 and I have been a happy patient ever since! I continue to be a patient at the office for my yearly routine eye exams with Dr. Mills. The staff is wonderful, the doctors are wonderful and my experience as a patient has been great. It has been 7 years since my surgery and my vision is 20/15 (which is better than 20/20).

I arrived at the office and was greeted by office staff. I then met with 2 other people and underwent a series of tests. When the tests were completed I met with Dr. Moyazeni who said that he didn't think I was a good candidate for Lasik and explained why. He also said that he wanted to consult with two of his colleagues to determine if I could have any type of surgery safely. I can't tell you how appreciative I was of his honesty because the first place I had gone to was more than willing to take my money for the surgery and never said anything about the anomalies in one of my eyes that might cause problems. I decided against any surgery (I will continue to wear my glasses!) and also decided that from that day forward Providence Eye would be my eyecare provider. Dr. Moyazeni and his staff are great!!!

The staff and doctors did an outstanding job with evaluation that took approximately 2-3 hours. They tell you from the moment that you make the appointment how long exam will take and possible charges to try out contacts upfront if needed to try mono vision in advance of any surgery. I am a candidate for PRK surgery which takes a bit longer for recovery. I also am trying to decide if I should have LASIK to correct mono vision or just correct my near sighted vision. Staff has been following up with me on final decision but I am weighing my options very carefully as this will be a permanent chane to my vision. Would highly recommend this practice!

They are just really very professional and really friendly people. They are a good place and I have even used them for surgery.

I went in for an initial consultation in November. The entire staff was extremely friendly and informative with the appointment starting on time and lasting just as long as they had suggested. The initial consultation was free with the exception of some voluntary photos of the eyes (which they disclosed the cost upfront) and at the conclusion, I was told that with the improved technologies they would be able to help correct my vision (high prescription and astigmatism). I went ahead and scheduled my surgery for Friday, January 4th. On the day of surgery, the staff doubled checked my vision for any changes and made sure all of my questions were answered. After an hour in the office (about 10 minutes in surgery) it was over. Completely pain free and the process was exactly as had been described to me. Due to my high prescription and astigmatism, I was told that it might be 2-3 weeks before my vision cleared up and up to a few months for it to completely heal. It's been just over two weeks since my surgery and my vision is better today that it ever was with glasses or contacts and it will continue to heal. It took about a week before things at a distance sharpened up and I still have some 'halo' effect at night but its getting better each day. The most difficult part is remembering that I don't need to take my glasses off to go to bed, take a shower, etc. I'd recommend Dr. Mozayeni and Providence Eye to all my friends and family.

Dr. Mills and Dr. Mozayeni are great. I was finally ready for lasik. They always take time to explain everything. Great experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Mozayeni and his staff for lasik or just general eye care.

I had heard very good things about him via reviews on the internet (not Angie's list--I was not a member at the time). Overall the experience was great. He diagnosed me with keratoconus which makes me ineligable for Lasik surgery. Fortunately in about a year, there will be an FDA approved procedure to fix this condition meaning I may be suitable for Lasik in the future. He took his time explaining the condition to me and answered all of my questions. I will definitely continue to see him about every 6 months for monitoring until I can have the new cross linking procedure done!

Everything went well with the surgery, and my wife was very pleased with the work. If I was going to have lasik surgery, I would go to them and not consider anyone else. I would go to them first if you want lasik surgery. The doctor there takes his time with you, and explains things very well. If he feels that you are not a candidate for the surgery, he will let you know. The doctor is also very personable.

Their availability is good and the office is beautiful and very comfortable. I did not have to wait for my appointment and they take the time to explain everything. I will use them again in the future.

I arrived on time and did not have to wait to begin my comprehensive eye exam. The staff provided a great experience and the Dr. was excellent.

I chose Providence Eye Center and Dr. Mozayeni based on numerous recommendations from friends and co-workers. From start to finish I was very impressed by the process which began with a set of tests to determine the best LASIK option for me and was followed by a consultation by Dr. Mozayeni. While I was not as price sensitive as many others, the staff explained all of the different pricing options and benefits of each type of surgery. I was able to schedule the surgery relatively quickly (about 4 weeks out). On the day of the surgery, I arrived with my wife at our scheduled time and in less than an hour we were on our way home. The actual surgery went passed by quickly with a few minutes needed for a laser to cut the flaps and a quick transfer to another machine to correct my vision. Throughout the process I experienced no pain only some mild pressure and both Dr. Mozayeni and his staff continuously checked to make sure I was ok. The only side effect that afternoon was perfectly normal irritation in the eyes which they gave me a low dosage of Valium to help with and some eye drops. I continued to use my eye drops and after a long nap, I awoke that evening with clear vision. By the next morning I could see clearly with only some mild haziness and was able to see clearly to drive to my appointment. The results were excellent as my sight improved to 20/15. By 2 months out from the surgery I no longer needed daily eye drops for soreness and continued to see at a 20/15 level.

Very good experience. The staff and Dr. Moyazeni are very professional. I was impressed with the whole process. He also has the most up to date equipment in the area.

Consulted with the practice in fall of 2008 to see if I was a candidate for lasik. At the time, I was pregnant so the surgery would not be until sometime in 2009. They did all the testing except dilation due to my condition. When I was ready in the spring, they had me come back in. My understanding was it was just for the dilation. But they performed ALL the testing again - spent another 2-3 hours with me - just to be sure nothing had changed in the prior 6 months. Dr. Mozayeni and staff take all precautions to ensure room for error is minimized or eliminated. This is just one example. He will not perform surgery if there is any question you are not an ideal candidate. He also uses the latest technology to provide a more precise and customized correction. As a result his outcomes are superior to other practices. The approach at this practice is very consultative, lots of communication, and personalized service. They allow ample time for each surgery (and you are in the OR alone - scary that I have to mention that). I was shocked to hear from a coworker who went to a well-known center in Charlotte that four people undergo the procedure at the same time in the SAME room. Another difference - Dr. Mozayeni personally sees you at each stage of the process; from qualifying you to pre op and post op appointments. When it comes time for the surgery, he and staff talk you through each step and every minute of the procedure before and as it happens. They are very calm and reassuring. Dr. Mozayeni called a few hours after the surgery to see how I was doing. I was seeing 20/15 at my first post op the day after surgery - I had been 20/150 in one eye and 20/400 in the other.

I decided to take the plunge and at least explore whether I was a candidate for this surgery. The doctor and his staff were great. I got very personalized service, never had to wait long, and had outstanding results. I initially came for preliminary testing, found that I was a candidate but needed to decide whether to go w/ "monovision" (one eye adjusted for near, one for far) or not, so was able to get contacts that mimicked what my vision would be like. I decided to go with the monovision and came back for the surgery. The process is a little scary- I mean, these are your eyes we're talking about! The doctor had a great bedside manner, was very informative and clear about the procedure. Similarly, the optometrist that I met with also was very good at conveying the information, giving me all the time I needed to ask questions. All the staff were very personable, and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. Best of all, I had incredible results- I have 20/15 distant vision and 20/20 close-up- no more reading glasses for me!

He provided a thorough eye exam and resolved vision issues that I had been having for several years with my contacts. He is very personable and I felt they were professional and conservative in handling my interest in the surgery.
