I booked an inflatable slide and 20 folding chairs 12 days before my son's 6th birthday party. At that time, I provided a credit card number to pay in-full in advance. I received a confirmation email from Bounce-A-Roo for the rental along with a scheduled time for delivery between 11 AM and Noon the day of the party. By 12:15 PM on the party day, there was no sign of Bounce-A-Roo. I called their number and was told that I was not even on the schedule for that day. They party was supposed to start in less than 2 hours and they questioned whether or not I had even rented a slide. They indicated that I had to provide proof that I had rented and paid because I might be trying to get a slide rental for free.
After several phone calls and long discussions from the delivery guy that his management wanted proof from me that I had really rented and paid, they finally showed up. When I provided a copy of the contract/confirmation to the delivery guy that showed I had paid in full, he asked me to point out on the 5 page document the exact line that showed paid. He didn't understand the details of the contract himself because those were "just forms the management office uses".
The slide itself was in good shape and the delivery guy was careful to ask about where the sprinkler lines were so as not to pierce a line when staking down the slide. The pickup guys were also nice and arrived on time to retrieve the inflatable slide.
However, when I called Bounce-A-Roo the next morning to express my displeasure with the entire experience, Steven (the guy that answered the phone and also sent the confirmation email) made excuses and never once offered to provide a discount or even a coupon for a future rental. What he did choose to do while speaking to me was put me on hold TWICE so he could answer another line. He told me that my rental was put on the schedule for last weekend (although no one tried to show up last weekend to deliver a slide). He did finally say I'm sorry at the end of the conversation.
Bottom line - Good equipment, but HORRIBLE customer service from the management. No parent should be stressing an hour before their child's party because they are getting accused of trying to rip off a rental company for a free inflatable slide and 20 chairs. I rented 12 days in advance, received confirmation, provided a credit card for the entire amount, and then was treated like a cheat.
