Heat Pump - Install or Replace
These guys pushed to replace my Trane unit with contractor grade and it was an insurance claim for replacement. They replaced the Honeywell Zone controller and never got it to run correctly. No A/C downstairs. Now when the temp drops below 30, I have no heat because the controller was wired improperly. I just paid $550 to get it running correctly after having the new unit installed 1.5 years ago. Baur Boys have been back out 2-3 times to program zone controller. Never got it right. Now I find that the outside unit has no "bi-flow" filter on the freon degrading the unit. They "crimped" the copper pipes instead of sweating them and I'm curious whether they even ran a pressure test or a vacuum pump for "non-condensibles". All in all a rip off and horribly unprofessional.
