Insurance Agencies
Mayo Health Plan is the insurance offered to employees and their families at Mayo Clinic. It is also a part of the First Health Network, which expands the number of in network providers. There are multiple price points and levels of care to choose from to help you find the right fit for you. In network claims are usually easily dealt with, although sometimes your physician or you may need to right a letter to explain why a service should be covered in special situations. If you write the letter in such a way as to explain why covering something will ultimately reduce your overall healthcare costs they will cover it. I have no experience with dealing with the need for out of network coverage. I do think the plans are a bit overpriced, but if you work for Mayo you don't have much choice.
