HiMEC has been providing residential service to the greater South Eastern Minnesota area for more than 20 years. In 2004 HiMEC created the HiMEC At Home division to better serve our residential customers. HiMEC At Home is a team of diverse and talented individuals working towards your comfort and satisfaction. We install and repair plumbing fixtures (toilets, faucets, water heaters, water softeners, and drain cleaning) and also service all brands of furnaces, boilers, and air conditioners. Austin kept in touch during the whole process and the job turned out excellent. This was a big 100,000 btu two stage furnace and what difference from the old Lennox. Very satisfied.

They were in an out in about 2 hours. They did have a sale on both. I don't know how often the sales are on, but the products appeared to be similar to other places at a better price. I don't know how good things are, I guess we'll find out.

I bought a house that had a furnace that was still under warranty until January 2017 with Himec, according to a sticker on the furnace. I called and confirmed this information with them. I asked them to look at the bundle of wires and tubing that went outside and hooked up the lower level of the furnace inside the house, because it appeared there was no evidence any thumb gum had ever been applied. The main thing I wanted them to look at was to see why I was getting no hot air in the furthest room from the furnace. I asked them to make sure this would all be under warranty and if it would not to let me know what it would cost before doing any work. When I was talking to the receptionist and telling her the details of what I wanted done, she advised me there would be no trip charge since this was a warranty call. I advised her to also let the tech no when he comes and looks at my furnace I don't want him to do anything before letting me know if there is going to be a charge. When the tech arrived he stated in a round about way that it didn't look as though there was any thumb gum applied previously. After he completed his work he had me sign an invoice and on there where no charges listed so I confirmed verbally that I should not be expecting any charges. He told me he doesn't do the billing but whatever I worked out with the office is what I can expect, which gave me the impression there would be no charges. Several weeks later I received a bill for well over two hundred dollars. They initially billed the previous owner and I had already advised them I am the new owner. I called them back because I was under the impression that the service was covered under the warranty but the most they where willing to do is cut the bill down to $150.00. I advised that if they really want to pursue this than i think the best thing to do would be to take it to small claims court and let a third party decide for us. They stated that if that is what I want to do then that is fine but will have to send it a collection agency because I am not able to take it to court immediately.

It went great.  We had two visits, one being the estimate.  Both gentlemen were knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to explain everything.  They went over various options for water heaters, discussed various places to install, and broke down costs for us.  They came 5-10 minutes early for both appointments.  They installed the water heater quickly, cleaned up the area when they were done, and showed us the repairs made to the plumbing lines.  They showed us how to change the settings as well.

The AC was in the throes of death. They tried to save it twice during the hottest part of the summer, but it just wasn't cooling properly. They fixed a broken wire in the outside unit, thawed the frozen A-Coil and cleaned the unit and filter. It seemed to be cooling, but after they left it gradually stopped cooling. We sweated through a few weeks and decided to replace it. Everything went well. The installer was very polite, explained everything he was doing and cleaned up inside and outside. We are very pleased with the outcome, especially since we had a hot steamy summer and grandchildren for a few weeks.

It went very well.  Someone came out and talked to me about the estimate to replace etc.  The job was set up quickly and the work went very smoothly. I have no complaints what so ever.  After installed, a tech went over the most important/safety features that I needed to know.  I most definitely will have them install a new air-conditioner when the time comes.

This was not an emergency, I had ample time to research multiple different companies and I chose this one. I found that they did a good job, they were very helpful,  professional, and knowledgeable. I have no qualms about using them in the future.

Their service is wonderful. We called them most recently after our furnace would not start up. The service man did not find a problem. He cleaned up the unit and only charged the service fee. He also let us know that it would be cheaper to have them come out every year to check the unit and clean everything up as opposed to paying for the service call.
