Very courteous and considerate of the house, keeping things clean. Willing to answer questions and explain what was being done. Price quoted was fair and no surprises. Would not hesitate to have them out again.

I chose SOS because of all the positive feedback and it proved to be a wise decision. I had a small sewer backup and called right away. Within a few hours Randy showed up ready to help. I had no idea where my drain access was and Randy worked with me to do a thorough check of my basement. He explained that he could use the toilet to access the pipe but it was more costly and not as effective (that's why we spent time searching for the drian). In the end we could not find the access so Randy used the toilet to get to the main line. He was very careful about his work and used tarps to protect my floor and surfaces. He was even nice to my cat! When he was done he explained everything to me in detail and made some helpful suggestions. I thought the price was very reasonable and Randy was kind enough to tell me about a discount for Angie's list customers I was not aware of. Very positive experience... I would defiantly use them again!

Sunday evening our kitchen disposal gushed water back into the sink when it was turned off. The floor drain in the basement also was backing up water on the floor around it. Called the answering service Sunday and a technician called back within and hour. They told us it would be an extra charge for the weekend, so we waited until Monday morning. The technician called promptly at 9 and was at the house by 9:45 and finished and all cleaned up by 10:30. Very professional and friendly technician. He explained what had happened, told us which direction the plumbing ran under the floor (for future ref) and gave us some tips to help prevent it again. When I was paying him, he asked where we heard of them, and when I told him we found them on Angie's List, he gave us the Angie's List discount. Very satisfied customer.

I called and they came out that day. They called right back to give me a time estimate of when they could show up. Marty was the tech that helped me and was absolutely wonderful. He kept me informed all along the way and did a great job. What should have been an easy sink clean, welcome to my home, it was a challenge. He did it with professionalism and grace. He never made me feel that I was wasting his time or that he was frustrated with the process. What a fabulous, fabulous experience. The price was exceptional; I sort of was expecting to pay about 3 times more than I paid. So, really great price and I was very happy with the service. I will certainly use them again. Fabulous. Had a clogged drain on the Forth of July. Called and left a message with the dispatcher and was called back just a few minutes later by the on-call drain technician. He wasn't able to come immediately, but would be available in a few hours, and that there was a $50 holiday fee. Given that it was a national holiday, I'm quite happy with this level of service. The tech arrived when he said he would, and the work was completed quickly. Would definitely use again.

No issues. Work completed on time and satisfactorily.

We live in an old house that we extensively renovated in 2008. After the renovation, we had no idea as to the location of our stack in order to have the sewer line cleaned. We have had a back up in the past, before our renovation, and were fearful that it could happen again. Now that our basement and bathroom are finished, a sewer back up would be an extreme catastrophe and very expensive. Our first contact was with our builder hoping they would help us figure out where the stack was and recommend someone to come ensure our line was clear. Unfortunately, they did not have any solutions. So, off to Angie's list I went and find S.O.S. Drain and Sewer Service. First, the owner answers the phone immediately. I wasn't expecting that. Second, the scheduled the appointment for that very day. Third, Brad, the technician that came to our home was honest, clean and professional. He found a solution to our problem of a sheetrocked over stack by pulling out our toilet. He educated me, showed me that our line was clear and really gave me the piece of mind I was looking for regarding our sewer line. I know it sounds crazy, but I was really worried about a sewer back-up in our basement. The expense would be overwhelming. We have used Rotor-Rooter in the past and this was a completely different experience - a positive one!

Our basement shower drain had been backing up every time we used it for the past year. SOS came out right away and had it cleaned out in less than an hour and left the area clean. I'd definitly call them again if we has a drain or sewer problem.

I called them in the morning to make an appointment. They gave me a two hour window that same day. However, they were not at my house until after the two hour window had passed. They were great when they finally arrived. They used a "snake" to clear my drain. However, I wish they would have used the "snake" passed the clogged area as opposed to stopping when they thought they got the clog. In other words, I am afraid that the backed up drain will happen again because they didn't use the "snake" beyond the clog. A good experience and I would use them again. But, wish they would have made the two hour window.

Described above. I'd certainly call on SOS again, though the advice Randy gave me, I shouldn't need the services again.

They were very good. They came right away. I called them and they came within an hour. The guy was very efficient and careful. He didn’t leave any mess. He cleaned up after himself. His professionalism was okay because he asked me if he could use the bathroom. I would use them again in the future.

Everything works. They left the work area clean. There were a couple of stains left on some carpet going up the stairs but they came out. They had covered the area with a work cloth but some must have leaked thru. Quick and responsive - even on this routine maint. call - they made it a priority to come on my day off.

I called SOS and he (I forgot his name, sorry) was on my doorsteps within 25 min. SUPER impressive. I was a bit stressed since I had water in my basement. Never fun. He snaked the main and was real thorough; it was a bit painful since I had not ever snaked it in four years. So the roots were thick. But he got through. He was also super friendly and just overall very professional. I was very pleased and would recommend them in a heartbeat. The price and week-end surcharge of 35 bucks was also VERY reasonable.

The last time I had the sewer line snaked out was just over a year ago, so it was time again to have the line cleared. I had used another service provider for this work for a number of years and had been satisfied with the job done. This time, I decided I would try another service provider just to see if there was any difference. The service SOS provided was comparable to that of my prior service provider. The main difference was cost and payment form - SOS offered a 10% off Angie's List coupon, so the cost was less than my prior provider's cost and SOS accepts credit cards, while my prior provider only took checks. Randy, the SOS service man, was friendly and professionaI and described what he was doing. I would use either my prior provider or SOS the next time I need the sewer line cleared out. The decision will likely hinge on availability.

Good. Arrived soon after call, maintained clean work area. The cleanout was about 6 feet from the closest approach for the machine, which made it harder to run the snake cable. I suggested running it through a piece of pipe and the technician agreed and got a piece from the truck. It helped the process. Cost was about as expected. Time was about as expected. I would use them again if main line cleaning service is needed.

The bathtub on my main floor starter draining slow. A few days later, when the toilet was flushed it would backup into my bathtub. SOS came out and started trouble shooting. They removed the toilet and began snaking the drain. Unfortunately, the snake got hung up and broke! The tech needed to go in through the lower level clean out, but the main drain was filled with water from the main floor. We needed to wait 24 hours for the water to drain out. He came back the next day and started in from the lower level, removing chunks of roots. The tech did a great job of keeping the carpet in the lower level clean - especially with ball of roots and dirty water coming up. There wasn't a spot on the carpet! After two trips and a few hours of hard work, they only charged my approximately $375. I will use them again in the future for my personal and rental properties

The tech came on time, but we decided to reschedule when it turned out to be impossible to get the machine down the basement steps without my helping to manuever the 300 pound machine around a tight corner. The rescheduled tech had a machine that could be partially disassembled for tight spots like that. There is an upcharge for this particular machine or them having to send out a second person to help move the machine. This second tech missed the first appointment but, when I called, apologized and rescheduled for later that day. He seemed professional on the job, spent a lot of time, so the charge was more than the basic minimum, though there were a lot of roots pulled out. Note that we hired SOS after first hiring Roto-Rooter, with Roto-Rooter pulling out some roots but being unable to clean the drain, claiming that it was broken and had to be excavated for major repair. The clean-out opening and cover had been broken, but the SOS Tech left it better than he found it, for a small additional charge. He left the job broom clean and removed the debris found in the pipe. These folks were a pleasure to work with, they got the job done for a reasonable charge, and I would use this company again.

Brad came the same day we called. He did a great job and cleaned everything up when he was finished.

Called on Monday & informed them of what I needed. Appt was set for Friday between 8 to 10 AM and they said they would call before coming as I have canines who have to be contained. On Friday they had not called or came by 10:30 AM. I called them back, gave all information for 2nd time (they appeared to have lost the appt schedule) and they said they would have someone out within the hour. The workman arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes later and stated he had only recently been given the appt. He snaked out drain and asked if I wanted drain to flow faster and said he could take care of that. We agreed on price and he proceeded to replace piping under laundry tub. Had to stop and go to store to buy more piping as he did not have what he needed on his truck. Did receive a discounted bill due to the problems encountered and lateness of arrival.

Service was great. Emailed for a call back and was called back the same day. Arrived on-time and had the drain cleared in under 30mins.

Marty came out at 8:30 pm on a Saturday night to unplug our main sewer line. It now works like a charm. Our house is quite old, and has an 'interesting' plumbing system, but Marty figured out what to do. He also advised us as to what steps we could take to make the procedure easier next time, if it is required. We highly recommend S.O.S Drain & Sewer,, and particularly Marty!

They came out the same day and had the issue resolved in under 20 minutes. He was friendly and even cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend them.

Monday morning I called S.O.S. and they said they could make it out later the SAME day! The service man(Brad) arrived at the time stated that morning and quickly assessed the situation. I was expecting nothing but bad news. But alas, he said he'd go grab his equipment and get right to it-"no problem"!! Within less than 1/2 hour he had completely cleaned out the floor drain pipe and assessed the rest of the line to be just fine. Plus for a few bucks more installed the new toilet for us on the spot! The night before I didn't get much sleep thinking we had a huge expensive repair bill and days/weeks of messy work ahead of us. Tonight, I will sleep like a baby knowing S.O.S. came to our rescue and resolved our problem in just about an hour at a very reasonable price!

Excellent. We have used SOS twice before and Randy, our the serviceman, even remembered us from 4-5 years ago when our main line froze!. He was excellent and not only cleaned out the clog, but gave excellent advice on how to prevent it from happening in future (less usage of sink disposal) and took time to show me how the angle of our pipes and the long run was contributing to the problem and suggested how a plumber could remedy it. We've called and received advice on how to fix problems ourselves over the phone at least once as well. Can't say enough about the service and professionalism of SOS, Randy and Jeff -- thanks!

Another great experience. We called first thing in the morning. Jeff returns calls quickly and he was able to have people out before noon. Charlie and Borden arrived promptly - calling before they arrived. We thought the drain field may have been frozen as a result of us making walking paths for our dogs. They stated that based on their experience - our walking path was not sufficient to send frost far enough down to cause problems. They worked quickly and efficiently to diagnose the problem. Tree roots near the entrance of our drainfield distribution box were causing flowage issues. They cleared the blockage and tested the system to ensure it was working properly. They were very helpful at answering our questions. We would highly recommend SOS.
