They were punctual, did a great job of removal, and cleaned up the site to perfection. On top of the great work, their price was $200 below the competition.

A great company. Very punctual and very neat. When they left you would not know anyone had been there.

The crew arrived as scheduled, trimmed the trees carefully, and cleaned up the debris completely. They trimmed the trees so that they looked very natural.

I called and left a message. No return call.

The apple tree had a large crack in the trunk and I knew it needed to go, so I got several estimates in late September. Vineland's bid was the best price, so I decided to go with them, and firmed that up the week of October 3. I needed to remove a ring of hostas from the base of the tree so it was agreed that I'd give them a call when I was ready to go. On Friday, October 7 I came home to find that the tree had blown down, so immediate removal was necessary. I emailed Seamus, who said they would be out on Monday, October 10 to do the job. I arrived home that night to find that the tree was gone, the stump was ground, and there wasn't even a twig left where the tree once stood. Very nice job - I had a great experience with this company, and I'd be glad to hire them back.

This morning Mike and Sam arrived on time, and efficiently and expertly took the tree down without the slightest scrape to either house. It was impressive to watch them work together--they're very good at their jobs! The felled tree limbs were ground on-site, and the stump completely ground out, ready for new planting in the spring. The whole operation, including cleanup, took 2 hours. They even took some other prunings I had piled up, without charge. AND the final charge was slightly under the estimate. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recomment Vineland Tree Service, and Mike and Sam.

They did not respond to my query for an estimate or amount of work needed. So I have no experience with them other that they did not respond to me

The only negative I have is that they arrived late for the appointment. It turned out they went to the south version of my address and not the north where I live. Once they arrived however, they were great. They dragged out a 8-10 foot juniper tree that had been pushed over by heavy snow last winter. They did a great job cleaning up afterward and replaced all the planter edging blocks that had been disturbed in the process. They also provided some instruction (that I had asked for in the contract) on how to trim shrubs and prune them properly. Mike and his partner were friendly, knowledgeable and I certainly got my money's worth. I plan on having them do more work in the future.

I called three (3) different tree services. Vineland returned my call the next day. Others returned my call in two to three weeks. I patiently waited for the three bids before going with Vineland. Connor Walsh, who provided the bid, brought out his crew on 8/11/2011. They Arrived at 12:10 PM, took a twenty minute lunch, then went to work. They stripped, downed the tree and cleaned up by 1:50 PM... I couldn't believe it. They'll get my call for any future work.

After reading rave reviews on Angie's List, I called Vineland to set up an appointment to look at two mature green ash trees, which had been losing some large branches. I was called back promptly and an appointment was set up to look at the trees. The owner, Jim, was very personable and knowledgeable, taking the time to educate me a bit on the ash trees (I just recently purchased the property) and also looked at my other trees, giving me information on how to improve their health. Jim gave me a few options regarding my ash trees-- they weren't diseased, but they weren't in the best shape, either. After weighing the options, I decided to have them trimmed rather than removed. When the crew showed up, and trimmed the first ash, Connor pointed out some additional problems that had been hidden by other branches and leaves. He felt the tree was definitely unhealthy, but again left it up to me to decide what to do. After a week or two of debating whether or not I should remove the tree(s), I spoke to Connor again and he agreed to take another look and help me consider other options. He came out again (no charge) and still felt that the tree was unhealthy and could cause serious problems (including damage to the house, etc.). We agreed to move forward and remove the trees, as well as take out another overgrown bush in the backyard. I feel confident that Vineland helped me make an educated decision, gave me a very good price, and provided exceptional service. They removed the trees with extreme care and efficiency, and the cleanup was very thorough. Also, the process was unexpectedly entertaining to watch. :) I'm happy to recommend this local, family-run business.

I called Seamus with an inquiry. As the job seemed pretty straightforward, he managed to take a look and sent me an email estimate; this saved time because I didn't have to be present for an onsite meeting. Foreman Mike and assistant Cody showed up on schedule --- highly professional and very customer-oriented. We had a good conversation with Mike about the particular characteristics of the tree and pruning strategies (damage from branches rubbing together, potential trunk splitting, use of reinforcement cables, extent of canopy removal without inflicting sustained tree damage, long-term planning). It was a bonus to have them prune the lilac and honeysuckle hedge. A huge pile of branches was disposed of and the yard was left immaculate. The tree had been a concern for a number of years. We were so relieved and delighted when the results exceeded all our expectations. Seamus followed up with a phone call to see that everything was done to satisfaction. I signed up on Angie's List to find a good tree service, so I mean this to be a great recommendation for both Vineland Tree Care and Angie's List.

Vineland was both the fastest responder when I asked for an estimate and was one of the best bids received. Seamus was friendly and easy to work with. Vineland was able to complete the job within a few days of the agreement. The quality of the work was great.

They arrived early, worked efficiently, and finished quickly. They were pleasant and helpful.

Seamus is astonishing! Our enormous hackberry was rotten inside and had to be removed which was not easy given the narrow alley, electrical wires, houses and fences. In the end he hired an enormous crane which lifted chunks of the tree out over the houses. Up in the tree he was super careful, elegant and precise: nothing moved, swayed or wiggled until he said so. Prompt and courteous this was a top-notch job in every respect. They get my highest recommendation!

We did a little bit extra work than we originally had asked everybody else about. They were very accommodating. They really looked up our schedule very well. They were fast. They were about 8 to 10 people. They were very efficient and very fast. They started at 8 in the morning and finished by about 10 or 10:30 a.m. They removed the giant oak tree that was going up to our deck. They got rid of that and they got rid of three large pine trees. They did it all in less than three hours. It was pretty fast. They did an excellent job.

I was getting nervous about the boxelder tree in the backyard, the branches were getting close to the power lines one on side and rubbing against the garage on the other. When I called them someone stopped at the house a day or two later while I was at work and left an estimate in the mailbox. I called and scheduled the appointment, the crew was prompt and friendly, trimmed everything so it looked nice, trimmed up an overgrown lilac as agreed. They also took a pile of trimmings that I had been accumulating in the backyard and threw it in their chipper, it was nice and tidy when they were done!

Came next day to estimate. Work was done two days before Rainbow showed up to bid. Vineland was less expensive as well. Will certainly use them again.

Vineland arrived on time, removed the mature red maple that was in declining health, ground the stump, and did some trimming of a shrub and a ornamental tree. The stump was fully removed, all limbs were removed, and an adequate job was done removing chips and dust from the stumping area. They kept at the work until it was done and didn't take an noticeable breaks. I believe the job took 3-4 hours.

From the beginning Seamus made it clear what was healthy for the tree as opposed what I thought it needed. He took the time to explain why some branches had to stay while others could go. He also explained his recommendations for cabling the tree in the new future and why it should be done. Had he had done just what I had asked him to do, my bill would've been bigger and my tree would not have been as healthy. The crew arrived on time, worked hard and did a great job at the cleanup. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this company to anyone.

Seamus and company worked with my neighbor to cut down his tree (that was dead and hanging over into my yard) at the same time he performed work for us. Crew arrived on time (if not early) and left job site clean. Also removed several piles of brush gratis. Assisted another neighbor in an impromptu trunk grinding. Professional and safe.

As is apparent, Vineland did not do any work for me. In fact, Seamus turned away the work by giving me an honest appraisal over the phone and pointing me to the better (and free) source: the city. I always value that kind of honesty from a merchant. We'll see how the city does with the project, but if they don't do it right, I will certainly come back to Vineland to see what can be done.

The process went very smoothly. Seamus came to our property and did an estimate in the pouring rain. We later called him to add more trees to the estimate and he was very accommodating. The trees were removed promptly. We had a great experience with Vineland Tree Care.

Our experience was very good. They did an estimate promptly, and the work was performed about a week later. I was happy that they didn't just remove the stumps - they filled them in nicely. The tree that was pruned looks much better. I also felt like I was getting good, professional advice and not just a sales pitch. I would definitely hire them again. I did wish they were a tiny bit more responsive. When I called to schedule an estimate, I had to wait for someone else to call me back, and that didn't happen until quite late in the day after I had called again. I was a bit surprised that I had to wait, although it would have been okay if I had been told in advance that I may not get a call back for 1-2 days. Also there was a small mixup when the work was actually scheduled - they were supposed to arrive first thing in the morning, but didn't end up coming until the afternoon. They were very apologetic about this and I don't believe this was a regular occurrence.
