Had the provider in for an estimate to have my furnace replaced and wanted me to replace the air conditioner as well, even though other providers assured me it didn't need to be replaced. After speaking with other sales reps I felt that the information wasn't something I could trust so I purchased elsewhere. When I spoke with the sales rep on choosing another, I was told I should have called back and told them their price was to high and they could have reduced it. No thanks. Reply to vendor's feedback on my assesment: I'm disappointed you didn't appoligize for the poor overall service related to the sales reps response on cost response when I spoke that I had chosen another vendor. As far as assessment on recomended cost consider this: I initially argued with the vendor who did install my heating unit, I lobbied to replace the cooling unit as well and his response was very cost logical. He asked what my cooling costs were for the year and I surmised (He thought my estimates were high on costs) May - $25 June - $75 July - $125 August - $125 September - $75 October - $25 Total = $450 Now imagine if I replaced the cooling unit and I receievd a 50% increase in efficiency, which returns me $225 for the year (No one will ever get that type of return). The unit your company recommended after rebates, etc... was ~$4,000.00 after installation. Consider that a $4,000 loan at 7% for 5 years will cost me more in interest than I save in energy costs (~$258) even at the elevated % of return that was given in this example. I paid $95 for a cleaning and recharge of the cooling system and it has been running excellently without it being replaced. I was told to expect at least another 5 years of life left. I was told air conditioning in Minnesota last longer than the stated lifetime do to the fact there use is much less than those in Southern states.

It went very smoothly. Arrived on time and did a professional job. Explained it all to my wife and then accepted a call from me to explain it again. Very polite and professional (Greg) very straight forward explanation of the age of my system and what to expect in the future. Didn't push any other services or products.

Arrived as promised, quickly checked out A/C unit. No further work required.

We are very happy with the entire process and work performed by Standard Heating. The salesman (Nate) was professional and helpful. He offered substantial information to help us make a choice while we were in the quote stage. He was courteous and it was not a high-pressure sales call. He was the only salesman to follow-up with a phone call to see if we had questions but I did not feel pressured what-so-ever. We obtained 3 quotes and decided to go with Standard Heating. Our decision was based primarily on three criteria. First, the professionalism and assistance provided by Nate. Second, their quote was favorable compared to the other two firms (but not substantially lower). And finally, Standard Heating has a positive history of referrals from Angie's List. The installation time frame and process went exactly as described to us. The installers were courteous and took care to keep the work area as clean as possible and clean-up after the work was finished. There were at least 3 installers involved in the process and they were all good.

The salesman came with his trainee. They were friendly and a wee bit condescending. I had recently installed a new water heater and they pointed out to me that it was vented incorrectly and that they would charge me $400 to redo the venting. I called my local plumbing inspector and he came over and inspected and said that the new venting is not required. I felt that Standard misled me and that they weren't very professional. The furnace installation went fine. When I reminded them in a survey that they sent out that the $400 dollar expense was not necessary and I should be credited I received no response. Again, not very professional. I felt like they had my money and were on to other things. I know they are a very well regarded company but they could be more responsive and their salesmen should refrain from jumping to conclusions about the work of other professionals. And, I believe they owe me $400.

Both Denise and Nathan from Standard were super easy to work with. Nathan was personable, answered questions, and gave advice on maintenance when I asked. He was ahead of schedule and I was able to meet him earlier than expected. He worked quickly but thoroughly, and didn't rush as I peppered him with questions. He said, "I want to get to as many customers as possible today, to get their air conditioners up and running, so they're comfortable in this heat." Kudos to Nathan -- that's a great customer service mentality.

The Tech from Standard explained what he was doing and why. Advised me to have a yearly maintenance check. I was quite satisfied. Standard Heating also installed my aiir conditioner in 2009. I have been very happy with that. I will call Standard for both of these systems from now on.

very bad experience. if you want spend 99 for nothing, 330 for put on a small part just hire them. $3,000 for put a new line of venting inside of chimney, replace your 6 yeasr old water heater based on my $99 experience, you can hire them, otherwise stay away.

there was water on the floor underneath my furnace. standard determined there was a crack in a small plastic part on the furnace. they ordered the part and came back about a week later and replaced it. the problem appears to be fixed. I was charged $99 for the initial visit and $170 when they returned to replace the part. I am satisfied with the repair, however the total cost seems excessive.

The company provided same-day service. They arrived on-time and called to let us know they were coming. They quickly examined the AC unit both inside and out. The outside fan was not working. They quickly discovered there was a broken wire which was replaced in a few minutes. They tested the unit to make sure it worked. Easy to schedule. Prompt, friendly, professional service. Bad pricing. The service call was $99 ($74 with Angies List special), then they charged an additional $50 to repair a broken wire which took less than FIVE minutes to diagnose and repair. Some minor repairs should be included in the $99 service call. For this reason, I would not use this company again. That's too bad, cause they did a good job, but they should think about including some minor repairs in their standard service fee. This would drive business and definitely earn repeat customers.

They did an excellent job with the installation and cleanup. They were on time and on budget. I would definite recommend. They also installed at our neighbors house (same split unit) and they had the same experience.

From the sales call to the completion of the project, I was really impressed. Everyone I interacted with was professional, polite, and answered all of my questions. I really appreciated how tidy the serviceman were while they were working, and they cleaned everything up beautifully when they were all done. Great service!

great - I called at 1:20 pm and he was here by 2:30 and gone by 3:30 that is what I call great service!

Jason was wonderful. He made me feel at ease (even though I know nothing about our furnace system), and was willing to call my husband with his question. He also kept me in the loop so that I understood everything hew as doing since I was the one at home when he came. He quickly fixed our problem, and he did so in a very courteous and positive way.

They arranged for an estimator(Jeff) to come on a Sunday so the work could get done that week. He was very professional and pleasant - trusted him right away. The installers came exactly when they said they would. (In fact, they were early but since it was an early call they waited til the exact time of the appointment to knock on the door. I appreciated this - otherwise they would have gotten me out of the shower!) They explained everything they were doing and left it all nice and clean. The lead installer, ( a different Jeff), waited for me to get home from work so he could show me how the system worked. Every person involved in this was polite, professiona and great to work with. I would highly recommend Standard. And both Jeffs.

The experience was very good. They were punctual. They came out the next day. They completed everything in one trip and we were good to go. They were pretty good. It was a little expensive.
