Very well indeed. The installers were quick and courteous.

I had a service package with them. I like their service people. They are very good, very friendly and they explain things very well if there's any issue.

My AC unit is in the attic, and noticed some dampness in one of the bedroom ceilings. Immediately called standard, and they were able to get me scheduled within 3 days, which was impressive since we were in the middle of a big stretch of hot weather. The installer arrived at the very beginning of his window, which is always a good thing, and quickly figured out the problem. Since the AC is in the attic, the condensation pipe needs to be blown out in the winter before it freezes and cracks. Unfortunately, the previous homeowners had not done that the winter before, so the pipe had cracked. He replaced it with a flexible pipe which is easier to disconnect and blow out when the AC is done for the season. I asked if this was something I should call Standard to come out and do each fall, and he said no it was easy to do yourself, and he did show me how to disconnect the hose, but he didn't really say how you would go about blowing it out or what kind of equipment you would need (he probably assumed I knew, but I don't!). I'm guessing I'll just call Standard to come do this each fall rather than risking damaging something I don't understand. Overall, this is a great company that always does great work and stands behind their work. I gave them a B on price because I believe their $99 service call is a bit out of line when they then charge you labor and parts on top of it. I can't complain too much though because they do great work. I just wish the previous homeowners would have used standard to install the unit in the first place!!

Emailed Standard stating I was interested in getting some information about getting a new boiler installed. They replied and said they would pass my info along to Robin, their boiler expert. He emailed me within a few hours and provided his phone number to give him a call. I finally got around to doing that a few weeks later, and he was able to come out within a couple days. I can see why they referred to him as the boiler expert, he really knows everything about these old systems and the most cost effective way to replace them. I originally thought I'd go with a high-efficiency model, but when he told me what the price difference is and did the calculation to show that it would take more than 30 years to pay the difference in energy savings, it became clear that getting the $300 federal tax break was not worth it (the high efficiency model would have basically doubled the price of the job due to the insane cost of the boiler and the extra venting it requires). Ended up going with the 84% efficiency model, which is very reasonably priced and will save me a lot in energy compared to the 1960's beast I currently had. Robin is a really nice guy and sat with me and explained all the options and costs. Also took measurements throughout the house and did a heat-loss calculation to ensure that they didn't sell me a bigger boiler than I needed (the one I currently had was bigger than needed). I was super-pleased with the quote from Standard and didn't need to get any other bids to know I wanted to use Standard, because I know that Standard was going to do a good job and the price was actually a little less than I expected. A couple days before the install, the installer came out to look things over. He spotted some Asbestos that they may or may not have been able to work around, but I decided to go ahead and get it removed since the extra cost was minimal and they would handle the scheduling of everything. They got the abatement company scheduled to come right before them on the day of the install. Their 3 installers showed up on time, and all the subs they used were amazing (only subs were the abatement company (Envirobate) and the electricians (Spark Electric)). I love how they absolutely will not step a foot in the house without putting shoe covers on, and they won't take a step outside without taking them off. This shows how committed they are to keeping the houses they work in clean! Job took more or less 6 hours, with most the crew being done after the 4 hour mark and leaving one guy to finish up and test. If you are looking to get your boiler replaced I highly recommend these guys who won't try to oversell you something you don't need, and whose installers have been doing it for a very long time and know exactly what they are doing.

The house AC stopped working and contacted Standard Heating and Air Conditioning. They came the next day and checked it. The AC was dead and I was told that I needed to replace it. The technician asked me if I wanted to have someone come Monday and give an estimate and I said okay. He made the appiont on Monday since it was Friday afternoon that he reported to our house. On Monday right at 3:30, Kelly was there. She seems to be very knowledgable about the whole system. She walked through the house and checked every single vent and return. Gave me a full explanation of what I needed to do. The three main options were to replace both furnace and AC and that way we get the most efficient system with all the rebates and full warranty (cost about $8500 + before rebates). Our next option was to replace the AC only where two units were available, one being bigger and more efficient ($4200). Lastly is to replace the AC only with the smaller AC (~$3600). We chose to go for the full replacement. The technician showed up right on time on the day of replacement and told me it would be a few hours to finish tthe job. Started at 8:00 AM and by 2:00 PM it was all done and the new system is up and running.

We had purchased a big deal for the service and it turned out well. They came out in a timely manner, and gave me all options from replacing it to just fixing it. They did a great job. We are considering replacing our furnace next year and we may use them for that.

The service turned out very well. There weren't any additional charges. The guy came on time. They called ahead. They came right in, I showed them the problem and they said they could take care of it. The guy actually brought some extra stuff because when we talked about the problem over the phone, they said that that might the case, so he came prepared, which was very nice. He was done and finished within a half an hour and just gave us the bill and it was set and it was working. I thought they were very good. They were very reliable and very efficient. They were in and out, it was very quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Wonderful. The Sales Rep came out and spent two hours explaining their services. Measured the house, counted the windows and vents, had me walk her thru the entire landscape. Was very patient and kind to hear what our needs were. They came in the least expensive of four vendors. The Techs who installed the units were on time, laid down carpet runners or muslins to protect the floor/carpet. Extremely patient with my questions and progress reports. All was left cleaner than they found it. All works very well and we are extremely satisfied. Personally, I am glad we went with Std Heating and will use them for all service calls as necessary. They did more than I expected and were done on time, within the quotation.

They gave a good estimate (lower than the competing estimates). They explained everything and answered any questions I had. They also helped fix my thermostat's power issues while they were there.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The service was fine but they actually charged me for the service instead of applying the deal. They were prompt.

My experience was absolutely great. My only suggestion would be it would be nice to receive a personal thank you from the sales rep.

They did a good job. I can't remember the details. I would use them again. They were fast and all that. They were very responsive. I would use them again in the future.

It went fine. I was able to use a coupon from Angie's List with no trouble and the service was prompt and completed quickly.

They were very good. The problem is still going on but it is not their fault. They have come out several times to solve the issue and save me some time and money and I appreciate that.

Not only did the technician tune-up my AC unit, he also cleaned the filters on my air exchange system and the outside vents for the furnace and dryer. He recommended new caps for the AC unit which were an extra charge but worth it. Altogether it was an awesome experience. I've been pleased by this provider's service in the past and will continue to use them.

Cannot remember exact dates and costs, but was either during fall or spring specials. Prices were competitive and fair. Service was excellent. We are happy with the new mechanicals.

The appointment went very well. The technician diagnosed the problem and gave me all of our options on how to fix it. I can't remember exactly what the problem was but it ended up being about 3/4 of the cost to fix the problem as it was to buy a whole new unit. We bought our house 2 years ago so did not know how old our A/C unit was. The technician estimated it to be 15-20 years old. In the end, we decided to replace the unit. Overall, the technician was very knowledgable and trustworthy - I would definitely use this company again!

Came out for the initial assessment earlier than It was scheduled for and had to delay the replacement appointment but refilled with refrigerant and it lasted until he came back. Great job!

He came out and fixed our issue no problem. And he followed up well. And did a good job.

The install was great - these guys were professional and left the place cleaner than it was before they came. They knew what they were doing, installed a new air intake and venting to the outside as a part of the new furnace. Of the multiple contractors I've dealt with this year - these guys were the most prompt in following through the project to completion. The cost reflects a $425 rebate that I had to wait a bit for, but Standard H&A took care of the paperwork for me and all I had to do was wait for the check. They also showed a $50 rebate on the adjustable motor through Connexus, but that was no longer available - so I ended up paying $50 more than the original estimate - no big deal in the scheme of things. I did call them back out when the AC compressor developed an unusual buzzing noise shortly after its initial use - and the guy found it wasn't leveled correctly - reset the cement base it was set on. While it seems to make a bit of a frightening 'clunk' when the compressor starts, I'm hoping that this is a normal sound and not a sound of impending problem. Regardless - it comes with a nice warranty, and I've been very pleased with Standard thus far. I think their cost may be a bit higher than some other companies - but I'm thinking I'll get what I pay for in follow-though and support, and hope for a long-lasting business relationship with them.

SE-80, sorry don't know the technician's name arrived in a timely manner. We were without air conditioning for about 7 days. Phew! But we were impressed with the professionalism and knowledgeable service! of the technician. He was there approximately 1 hour or so. Also loved it that he didn't have to come and go for a part like so many other service calls. He cleaned up the air conditioner, replaced some parts and also gave us some tips; how to keep it in good working order.We'd gladly call for service again. Many thanks Standard.

The work was fine. They guy showed up on time, he checked the pressure and did some other work so it was fine. I was happy with them. I asked them to come and look at it and I told them that the lights didn't work and they came and put a switch on it so the lights work. They did what I asked them to do. They were very helpful.

They arrived at scheduled time, very courteous, covered carpeted areas, worked steady, installation looked very well, neat and professional, they cleaned up area and left no trace of the old parts. When done the tech went over instructions on how to run and maintain the new system. Well satisfied..
