Everything went really well. We initially wanted to see if our existing door could be replaced. Once we learned it could not we called around for several quotes. NE garage gave us the best quote. We were able to get an insulated carriage style door, the opener and keyless entry for less that a standard non insulated door from another company. The finished product was great. One thing to keep in mind, he has interesting hours so if you don't mind him working from 7 to 11 pm he is the guy to use!

Mark came to our house at 10 pm the night before a snow storm to install our garage door opener, because he knew we wanted to use the garage. He worked until at least 1 am, and left a bill and envelope for us to send in. We were previously told that the rails for our garage door weren't installed correctly, and he fixed these problems as well. We can't recommend Northeast Garage enough!

I found Mark on Angie's list and believed from the reviews he was the man for us. 110% satisfaction. Angie list followers looking for garage door opener problem solver, Northeast Garage Door and Repair Co is for you! Mark came when he said he would. Called to say he was on the way. Earlier this week, when I made the appointment, Mark gave me a quote for a whole new unit, adding "but if you don't need it, I won't use it. I'll try to fix what you have." And he did! Mark got our 10 year old system reconciled to multiple learning remotes and the keypad....AND without installing any new equipment. He cleaned and lubed the door tracks and rollers as well. For once, we weren't left feeling after a service call "that was tough to swallow" as he has such reasonable rates: $95 for the service call and 90 minutes of labor $15 for cleaning and lubing the garage door tracks/rollers and coding all the controls. Now if only Mark were a plumber too. We have a kitchen faucet.....

Contacted provider and was able to schedule garage door opener replacement for next day. Everything went smoothly and we are very happy with new opener.

I noticed the garage door spring was broken on Friday night. I called Mark late that evening and left a message, not expecting a response until Monday. He actually called me Saturday afternoon - and apologized for not calling back earlier! Since I wasn't parking cars in the garage, I didn't need him to come out right away. He arrived Tuesday evening and did the work as expected. I'm very happy! As I said, I've used Mark 3 times now. I would not hesitate to call him for garage door maintenance, repair, or installation in the future.

I recently purchased an older home in poor condition including a non functioning garage door. It was in such apparent bad shape that I wasn't going to mess with it until much later and figured I'd have to replace the door. Alas, I relented and decided to have someone take a look as I really needed to use the garage space. After reading the reviews of Mark's work I had him come out to take a look. What I found was the experience and dedication one only see's rarely these days. In short, Mark is the real deal. He has decades of experience ONLY working on garage doors. He was extraordinarily thorough from start to finish and talked me out of replacing the door. He was willing to come out in the evening and didn't get finished until nearly 1 in the morning. There was no additional charge for same day after hours service. I now have a functioning, properly aligned door that Mark says should last many years. Thanks Mark!

I called Mark to get an estimate for the purchase of a garage door and the installation. I left a message but he called me back promptly. He offerred to come to my house and take a look at the door and leave me some brochures and information at my door that day. When I got home the brochures were there. I checked on line for the manufacturers of the doors and the product seemed very good. I got an estimate from 2 other garage door installers and Mark's was the middle price however, the lower price contractor did not have a good record on Angie's list. I choose Northeast Garage and called back to order. He said it would be 2 weeks and it was right on time. He picked up the door and came directly to my house for the installation (after calling). He is meticulous in his work and obvious he wants to have it perfect when he leaves. Absolutely no complaints, another great review for Northeast Garage!

I came home this evening to find out that my garage door wouldn't open. Upon further inspection, I saw that one of the two torsion springs on the door had snapped. I called a few places from Angies list and most were pretty close in price. Northeast Garage Door was the only one who could provide me service that same day, so I made an appointment for Mark to come out. He got to work right away and had the springs replaced in no time. After the springs were up and everything was put back together, he realized that the springs that were originally on the door (and hence the same model ones he put on to replace the broken springs) were the wrong type and that the previous installer had just adjusted the tension in the springs to compensate. Mark could have done the same, but he took the extra time to put the proper springs on there so that the door would stay shut and stay open if it wasn't connected to the opener (in the case of a power outage, for example - previously the door wouldn't stay open when detached from the opener). Rather than just take the shortcut and adjust the tension like the previous guy had done, he took the time to disassemble everything that he did and to redo it with the proper springs. Props to him for going the extra mile and doing it correctly! After he was done, he checked the hinges, tracks, and rollers on BOTH doors (even the one that hadn't called for service on) and lubricated both doors. A nice touch of him to check both doors were operating properly even though I only had called for service on the springs. Mark does work from late morning to late in the evening. While non-conventional business hours, I thought it was convenient that I had a problem coming home from work in the evening and that Mark was still available in the evening hours for a service call. I'd gladly use him again for any of my garage door needs. PS. My springs were a little cheaper than his standard charge. My neighbor had his springs break the day before and we got them both serviced on the same trip, so he was able to pass the service charge savings onto us.

If you're flexible and don't mind unconventional hours, he'll get the job done.Contacted Northeast Garage Door and he returned my call promptly. Explained the problem and he knew from my explanation that the gear drive was stripped. Because it would be a rather lengthy commute for him, he said he would come in the evening to avoid the traffic. A few days later I arrived home at 10pm to find him in the garage fixing the opener! He was just finishing up with the opener and adjusted the door while we chatted. Nice, friendly guy that I'd use again.

Called several people from Angie's List. NE Garage Door was the lowest price and as he talked I felt he knew what he was doing. I was going to be away from home for the next several days so I said I would call him back. When back, I called in the early afternoon and he was out that evening. His is a one man, owner operated show. I prefer to support the little guy and not pay for all that overhead from the big guys. This is all he does and has been doing it for some 30 years. If there is anything wrong with your garage door(s), Mark is the one to call. There is good reason why he has a straight A rating on Angie's List from some 20 (now 21) satisfied customers. I know who I will call when I need a garage door repaired or replaced. As a caution, he prefers not to work in the mornings, but was quite willing to come out in the evening.

He did a great job. He offered advice so I could try to fix it without a service charge if it wasn't needed. They did come and do the repair. It was a good experience. They are very reputable.

The cheapest comparative price I received for a similar repair was $140; Mark charged just $85 for the service call, and then allowed me to purchase just one sensor at only $10.00--whereas a new pair from Sears would cost $40. Mark actually asked me if I wanted the single unit--and said I could return the new pair I had just purchased from Sears. He automatically went ahead to check and oil the door, and found that the overhead lamp base was shorting and replaced it for just an additional $5.00. He seems remarkably professional, honest, and not pushing high priced replacement parts at all-but attempting to help me save money. Much appreciated, Mark!

It went excellent. He even came in the evening and didn't charge extra. He knows it all.

I called Mark on Saturday, July 30th and he came to the house the same day to complete the repairs. With a broken spring the garage door was unusable due to the weight of the door. Mark had the work completed by late afternoon the same day ( a Saturday ). Mark is both a professional and personable. I highly recommend Mark and will use him again in the future for all garage door related matters becuase of his skill and customer service.

I called him on Thursday evening and he came out as soon as he finished a job he was already working on. He knoew just what to do and had it fixed in less than 1/2 hour.

Mark's price was competitive with others I talked to about the door, but I feel that he did a good deal of additional work to ensure that the installation was greatly improved over what was there before. Mark was friendly and knowledgable and provided excelent product and service. He made no service call charges or other extra charges even though it was a day on the weekend. I highly recommend his products and services.

Overall, the service went very well and I am satisfied with the work. The price was reasonable as well. I plan to use them again in the future for another project.

The guy who we contacted was a little slow in getting back to us. It was a day of a snow storm and the other company that I called said that they could come on that day. They said that they would have it timed down sometime between 9 and 5. So I said okay since the Northeast Garage Door guy hadn’t called me back. Then he called me back about 2 o’clock in the afternoon and said that he was going to be there in an hour. So I then called the other place up to cancel and this guy came out about an hour and 15 minutes later. There was a major snow storm going on, but we needed the problem fixed. It took him probably 4 to 5 hours to get back to us.

We called him on a Sunday afternoon, we didn't expect the message to be retrieved until Monday AM. We were very pleased when he called us back later Sunday afternoon. Explained the situation to him about the motor running when garage door opener was pushed but the door not moving. He had a clear idea of what the issue was and gave a quote over the phone. When her heard we were unable to lock the garage door because of this issue, he offered to come over SAME DAY! He was very thorough. Quality work!! He did not try to sell us a new opener when it could easily be repaired. He installed a new keypad that worked (our old one never did) AND got some lights working in the garage we did not know we had. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic. He did great work. He completely repaired and lubricated our old poorly functioning door. Now it is perfect. He installed the garage door opener and a keyless entry. It was a bit of a custom job b/c of the age and construction of the garage, but he was undeterred. I am so happy with the job, I will recommend him to anyone that asks and will always call him first for any garage door questions. He is clearly not out to hustle or nickel-and-dime anyone. He gave me good info, explained the choices and gave a no-pressure recommendation. I can't say enough good about this job. He called me back quickly and started the project right when he said he would. I did not have to be home for the installation. I'm glad I met him at the end of the job, though, because he gave me a very thorough introduction to how the opener works, its safety features, and how to keep it and the door itself functioning well. He did not charge me extra for the maintenance and repair he did to the door itself.

Fabulous service! My garage door spring broke when closing it after parking the car at the end of the work day. The weather was cold and it was already dark when I called Mark. He came out that same evening and replaced the springs. Cost was very reasonable. Mark was wonderful - even fixed the settings on the garage door opener itself for no additional charge. I highly recommend calling Mark if you have a need for garage door repair or replacement.

I called them mid-morning. They knew exactly what questions to ask and gave me a firm quote over the phone. They showed up that same day at 4pm - within the promised time frame, replaced the springs, checked and lubricated the door, cleaned up the old parts, and left. The one-man shop has been doing this kind of work for over 20 years, and I doubt there's a challenge he can't solve.

The garage door is now better than it ever had been. I tried to fix one of the cables that had snapped and I gave up. The guy from the company came over right away. He also did a lot of work on it and I can’t say anything bad about him.

He called to check on my schedule; arrived when he said he would on Saturday, and stayed until the job was done, and did a good job of cleaning everything up.
