First time I had used these guys. Dealer I had been using seemed unable to locate cause of a few problems with hard starting and ABS brake system fault issues. Justin did diagnostics and pinpointed probable causes and gave me realistic repair pricing. I did not have the work done at this time, because I am thinking of trading the vehicle soon. If I do have the work done, I would trust them to do the work right at a reasonable price. Seems to be a well run shop that actually cares about their customers.

He use to work at Volvo and he and his partner both good and so their very well train and their very professional and I don't go anywhere else. He not only knows his stuff, he knows how to explain it to you and that especially when your doing something you yourself don't know how to fix is key.
Description of Work
Do an overall inspection and fix whatever needed to be fixed before I went on the twenty five hundred mile trip.

Airconditioner inspection conducted at a cost of $109 (price not mentioned up front - but not charged following discussion) with the recommendation to get a new compressor at the cost of $2k or alternately $300 to regas when was re-gassed 12months ago per sticker in engine bay. Minimal online research (swedespeed) and a 5 minute inspection showed ac clutch gap to be the issue (common in modern volvos) . fix under $200 for new clutch and install or $20 by shim gap fix.

Asked for oil change, windscreen wiper hose plug and investigation of intermittent airconditioner stopping issue. Oil change done and appreciated. $60 Wiper fluid hose plug - wanted $13 for a $3 plug- not done, no explanation on pickup.

Fantastic, best service/repair experience I've ever had.
Description of Work
My Volvo XC70 came up to 60k mile major service period. I called the dealership to ask what they did for 60k maintenance, and it was like I was bothering them. They also quoted me $900, and when I asked about a car to use to get myself to work for the day, they gave me the number for Enterprise Car Rental. I called Swedish Motors and talked with Justin the owner, and he walked me through exactly what would be done, and as important, what he looks for that is common with my year/model Volvo. He also explained he personally would be the actual person working on my car, would give me a full explanation of what he found and what he recommended, had Volvo for me to borrow while he worked on my car (for free), and he was $300 less expensive than the dealer (he's a factory trained Volvo expert), I made the appt. I got to his shop, it was clean and professional, and he was there waiting for me.....no big lines and no rushing me in and out. We went back thru what he was going to do, handed me the keys to his loaner, and I went to work. He called me as promised, gave me an update of what he'd found and the work he'd done, and I picked it up. Gave me a print out for my records, and gave me his suggestions on what the next service milestones would be. From now on, Justin will be the only one working on my Volvo, including oil changes. Great service, great experience, great price. He's a pro.

Service was performed as promised and on time. I've been a customer of Swedish Motors for at least four years and will go back to Justin as long as I have the Volvo.
Description of Work
Periodic maintenance per owners manual and replaced a deteriorating part in the front suspension. Justin called and verified that the work was approved and informed me of the price.

Great. Call and ask for directions, the shop entrance is not visible from the road and you need to drive around the back of a building that houses a number of larger businesses. We were very happy with the service and feel that the price was less that the dealer we have dealt with previously. Friendly staff.
