The A1 Radon Service representative, Andrew, is professional and was able to complete the task quickly. He arrived on time to the appointment and was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem in less than an hour. We were still under our warranty so there was no cost. In addition, he completed a full inspection to verify everything was still in working order. We would recommend this company to others seeking to have an installed system to remove radon. They are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

The whole process went very smoothly. The workers were both extremely professional and explained what they were doing. They figure out how to do the work in the best and smallest space needed. They know how to work with old houses with care. Overall, they are very professional, know what they are doing, and have great follow up to make sure everything is working correctly. I referred them to several neighbors who were also all extremely satisfied with their work. A+++

Andrew and his team did a great job. The responded quickly to my quote request. Scheduled the work to be completed within 10 days. Priced it very fairly. Explained the work that was going to be done. They were very open to discussions about where best to run the pipes and made every effort make sure that it would be done in way that would not cause issues with the home buyer. The installation went very smoothly. Andrew installed the system in the morning and had the inspector show up later in the afternoon. He set expectations that I may need a second system but tests (from kits he provided) done in two locations after his installation showed that the radon had been reduced.

We recently moved to MN and have not dealt with radon in the past so you can imagine our concern when our house was found to have a radon level of 17 (I think the EPA calls for a max of 4). The sellers offered to fix the issue but I wanted to tame the best approach (not the cheapest). A1 turned matched the cheapest price out of 3 quotes and to date they have been the most professional tradesmen we have used. They installed the vent pipe in a way that's barely noticeable. You can only see one vertical portion in the garage; they were able to run the rest through unfinished wall and attic space. I emphasized the importance of concealing the vent pipes to the other two bidding contractors and although they loosely said they do their best to hide pipe, A1 did a lot of probing to see how viable it would be before making a much more firm commitment. They ultimately brought the radon levels down from a 17 to a 0.5. Nice job guys!

After explaining that my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and I was concerned about the high radon levels in our lower level where we spend a lot of our time, they went above and beyond good service by fitting us into their busy schedule. They were prompt, efficient, & professional. They cleaned up the area they were working in. They made sure we did a follow-up test and got the results to us quickly. As my allergy symptoms disappeared as weather got warmed up, I ended up not installing radon mitigation plan nor an air-to-air exchanger. Our recent radon test level in basement was in the 8 to 9 ppm range. We picked three companies from Angies list for the bid. Two of them are the best reviewed companies and A1 Radon is one of them. Andrew came over first. He proposed a very slick solution on how to wire the pipe from the basement to the roof top. Because of our special setting of our basement, the other two companies told us that they have to place the pipe and fan outside which we do not the idea at all because of harsh winter. So, we kind of suggested Andrew's plan to them, but all of them said that the wiring pipe to the roof top will be too hard to do. After comparing all three bids (Andrew's bid cost is in the middle). We decide to let A1 Radon Service to work on the project. Boy, I have to say that I picked the best team. They are very clean, efficient, and knowledgeable. They drill a hole behind the stair in the basement, then through my pantry on the second floor (behind the door to make it invisible) to the roof. It is a very trick job, but they connected the pipe very nicely (later on they told me that they have remolding experience and know the structure of the residential house). The proposed bid was going to drill two sucking points in the basement, but after Andrew drilled the first one and found the foundation has sandy soil, plus the smoke test, Andrew told me that they are confident that I only need one sucking point. They just saved me $250 right away! After the job, they left me a test machine to check the radon level. Three days later, their test machine shows 0.7 ppm in the base and it is way lower than 2.7 ppm in the proposed bid! I told them that I also need to do a third party test. So they left two free test kits for me. The third party test result also confirms 0.7 ppm radon level in the basement. Over all, I really appreciated they experience, great professional service, and patience (I asked a lot of questions). Thank you Andrew! A1 Radon Service LLC is the best!!

A1 Radon Services were prompt and professional with their installation process. They were able to reduce the radon levels to under 1 pCi/l in all the homes. They were able to reduce the levels on one home from 8 pCi/l to .6 pCi/l. I would recommend their services to anyone.
