Good so far!

I was the last patient of the night, so I did feel slightly rushed probably because everyone wanted to go home. Overall, I liked Dr. Coco other than feeling a little rushed. She listened to most of my concerns but I felt she didn't take some of my other concerns (I am into natural living) as seriously as I would have liked her to. But I guess that's what happens with doctors most of the time when you bring up alternative medicine.

My fiancé, Nelson, was admitted after being rushed there with severe stomach pains. Dr. Malan (sp?) treated us as he would his own children. . He saved Nelson's life. His surgery went beautifully. When he came out he was like a whole new person. 
The nursing staff was phenomenal. We never thought we would be sad leaving the hospital! Every single staff member was not only very well educated, but also very personable. 
Amanda was amazing. The first day I was a wreck not knowing what was happening. Nelson was so sick! To help get my mind off it, she took my mom and I on a tour of the whole hospital. She was so sweet. She would keep reassuring me that he's in good hands and would explain everything to me.
Lori was Nelson's "rent-a- mom". She reminded us of his mom in so many ways. She experienced some of Nelson's worse nights, and thank God she was there. 
Brian is the most interesting person we have ever met. He definitely helped make some of the days go by with his life stories.
Cheryl was also very comforting. She was very attentive and took care of both Nelson and me. She even was able to put up with my parents, his parents, my aunt and uncle, and friends when they were all in the room bombarding her with questions. She was very cute and eased the situation with humor. 
Our horrific event in life turned out to be just another obstacle that we overcame with their help. Not to mention the hospital is beautiful, the food is delicious, and there's events to keep the patients and guests entertained rather than being sad. The ONLY complaint would be the beds that have a mind of their own!

He is very thorough and he has great bedside manner.

Overall we were very happy with the service provided by the OBGYN, particularly Dr. Davidson and Dr. Milo. Dr. Milo was on call during delivery and she was fantastic (much much better than the nursing staff at the hospital, but I am only reviewing the OBGYN here). We had to have my wife's records transferred from her old OBGYN in Chicago to here as we moved mid-pregnancy. They handled the transition very well and took very good care of her.

The hospital is outstanding in care, services rendered, food selection/taste, and cleanliness while in the hosptial.

This has to be one of the best hospitals in the country. They are making a huge effort towards patient services. Their staff is excellent, their facilities are the best. They have private rooms for every patient, and they even have their own greenhouse to grow organic foods for every patient, and cooking classes by their chef!

You don't feel like you are going to a hospital, it is more like a small village with a boutiques, cafe's, and a spa. I feel very comfortable with their staff. I have been to several different departments, and they are all excellent.

Their emergency room is great as well.

Dr. Katcherian was great at identifying the ankle issues and resolving them in the surgery.  Highly recommend.

Their food service was horrible. Everything else about them was fantastic.

Everything about them was great, the help, the food, the surgery, and everything. I found a very good attitude in all of the employees, even the cleaning people all had good attitude.

After a great deal of research and talking with friends about their birthing experience a different local hospitals, we centered in on Henry Ford WB for number of reasons. One of our primary concerns was finding a hospital that was supportive of the Bradley method of giving birth. It was important to us to be in an environment that was not only supportive but encouraged natural childbirth. We spent most of our prenatal appointments working with Jan McIntosh, one of the midwife's on staff at the birthing center. Jan was exactly what we are looking for. She was calm, experienced, and completely supportive of the natural childbirth. Not only did they respect our wishes for things like minimal intervention, it was a part of their foundational beliefs as midwifery team. We also were able to meet and experience the services of multiple other midwives including Jen, Amy, and Lynn. The preparation leading up to the birth was wonderful, the birth went very well, and the recovery was outstanding. From minimal visits in the recovery room, to delicious room service delivered food, Henry Ford West Bloomfield was exactly what we wanted in a birthing center. Without hesitation, we will continue to use Henry Ford West Bloomfield and the midwifery team for pregnancies and births.

It was a good experience from start to finish and I will be looking for other health care providers in the Henry Ford system in W Bloomfield.

The doctors are is very professional and punctual. Their follow up is incredible and customer service is fabulous.Ii have no complaints at all.

He is outstanding. I am very very pleased with him. He had to exam my throat to find out the reason why I kept having to clear it. The moment this doctor told me what I needed to do I've been getting better and better everyday. He was very apologetic when he was late to getting me. He was very caring towards his patients. If you had any questions, he takes the time to answer and explain everything.

He is very friendly and thorough. The office is easy to get to. I would use him again in the future.

I was able to walk that day with very little discomfort. I have always been very satisfied with this health system.

The overall birthing experience for my wife was excellent. We initially went in to the hospital early on in labor where the staff evaluated her for about two hours. After they saw that she wasn't progressing, the staff suggested she go back home to be more comfortable in labor. Once the contractions started to pick up, we went back in and she was admitted right away. Also, my wife was experiencing painful back labor so she requested an epidural. Within an hour, the anesthesiologist came to our room and had everything complete while being professional and courteous.

Once the epidural kicked in, my wife's labor progressed much smoother. The nursing staff worked with her to get the baby to turn into the correct position. Kelly, the nurse assigned to my wife, was wonderful for the entire shift during labor and delivery. She talked us through all of the changes that were going on and kept us up to date on things we needed to do. Once my wife reached the pushing phase, Kelly was there the whole time keeping my wife calm and focused. She also ensured she was as comfortable as possible through the entire process.

After birth, the staff was very accommodating and supportive. There was no issue with having visitors at any time, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. Also, they had a lactation consultant on staff that came in and helped with the nursing process whenever our daughter was ready to feed. All of the paperwork was taken care of in the room and we never felt like we were being rushed. They also have a photographer in the same hall that we were located. We had a short photo session for our daughter and could order the pictures right there.

Overall, as the observant husband, I was very impressed with the care we received. We had a large private room that my wife labored, delivered, and recovered in. Also, our daughter stayed with us the whole time as there is no well-baby nursery. I was very thankful for how helpful and kind the staff was, especially the entire nursing staff that provided the majority of the care. I would definitely recommend using Henry Ford West Bloomfield hospital for giving birth based on my wife's stay.

I was very pleased with my experience. I did not sit in the waiting room long at all before I was called in. I also did not sit in the doctor's room long in between the nurse leaving me there and the doctor showing up. The doctor took the sample to run the test for strep. She also checked other areas around my throat. I waited for the lab to return results (which took less than 10 minutes) in her room. When the results came back negative, the doctor said she preferred not to write me a prescription because I just had a bacteria caused sore throat. I really respected that because I do not want to take pills unless I have to. She told me to call back if my sore throat didn't go away in a couple days and then she would write a prescription for me. Henry Ford hospital works directly with my health insurance. When I received the bill I thought it was fair. Their online and quot;my healthand quot; system is great for paying the bill.

My other experience with Internal Medicine at Henry Ford was just as good. It was with a difference doctor and for a stomach issue. She gave me her personal cell phone number to call her on Saturday to let her know if the prescription was working or not. This was over a year ago. I highly recommend using Henry Ford Hospital.

They are very professional and everything is done the way it should be done. The care is great.

The only problem with primary care physicians is that they are overbooked.  She is always on top of what I am being treated for.  She listens to my problems and she makes good suggestions.  They send an email if there is any delay in my appointment.  They always run on time and you wait rarely in the office.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  I can always call her office and speak to her nurses.
