Modernistic

They cleaned our carpet before and we liked them so used them for air duct cleaning. they were on time, extremely nice and helpful. Both guys were very professional and nice. I wasnt sure if i was supposed to tip or not, but they did a great job! definitely will use them again when we need this service.

We hadn't had our air ducts cleaned in 5-7 years and since we remodeled a kitchen this summer, we felt it was probably time. I scheduled with Modernistic on the phone and they were very friendly and upfront with pricing since the price advertised only covers a certain number heat registers & cold air returns. So it definitely cost more than I was hoping but that's how it always works. They couldn't provide an approximate time they would be at my home. They said they would call the morning of to give a time. It's always nice to have an idea of a time when it's scheduled - not the day of but luckily, I have a flexible schedule. The workers were very friendly when they arrived. They used their little camera to show me what the ducts looked like both before and after which was nice. They made a few comments that made me believe I didn't really need it done though. I guess I should feel good that they weren't horrible, but when I'm paying that much money, I want to believe that it really needs to be done. Overall, it was a fine experience - nothing unbelievably great but nothing bad either.

We could not be more pleased. Due to weather they were running late but called several times to provide updates. The 2 men were delightful and true professionals. We were most impressed with the detail they went over before starting and what we could expect. They took pains to verify the fabric to be certain they were using the correct cleaning method. Their appearance and demeanor was exceptional - it was obvious to us that they knew their jobs and felt pride in their work and the company they worked for. The worked effectively and efficiently. I would not have been aware of them if it were not for Angie's List - Thank You. Our furniture looks terrific and we would not hesitate to use them again for any of the services they provide. I should also add that once we requested a quote for service the response was quick and comprehensive. Kudos to the entire operation. We have used Modernistic in the past. This time we had carpets cleaned of a house we were moving out of. Cleaning occurred when house was empty. Technician called ahead to give approximate time of arrival. Used lock box to gain entry. Called me when he was about 10 minutes from being done. I was then able to leave work for a short time to view cleaned carpets and pay. All the random cat hairball stains were gone and any other random spots from the kids. Looked great. Will use again when needed at our new house.

Wonderful experience. The technician was friendly, courteous, and very professional. The carpet took a little longer to dry than his estimate, but it was very dirty and he did an excellent job cleaning it and I imagine he had to use extra water to remove the dirt. The few hours extra drying time was a small price to pay for clean carpet. The previous cleaner (another company) did a very poor job, but this company was excellent.

They didn't do a good job. After they were done with their cleaning, I vacuumed with my vacuum cleaner and found a lot of dirt, hair and dog hair. I spent the money and it was not worth at all. The experience was bad and it was not worth the money at all. They were supposed to send two people because I have a big house and only one person came to do the job, so it was really hard for him. The guy who came was really a nice guy.

Modernistic told me that they'd call 7:30-8:30 to provide a window on when they'd come that day. Around 8, they called and told me between 12 and 2. They cleaners arrived about 15 minutes after 12 - that was great! After they arrived, they asked what I wanted cleaned and showed them. They promptly got to work and were done just over an hour, scotch guarding and all. All in all, I was quite happy with the experience. The only negative, and it's not a big one, is that I would have preferred them to be a little more methodical in spraying the scotch guard. They seemed to go quickly around the perimeter of the room with a few sprays in the middle. I feel like they missed spots with the way they were going around the room, but I wasn't confident enough in that to express that to them at the time. If it were me, I'd go in rows up and down through the room. They were a little more random about it. I could be wrong. Regardless, as I said, I believe I'd still use modernistic again...

The work that they had done was good, but one of the crew members who was cleaning upstairs did not move the empty furniture that was in the bedroom. I was told that they would move it if everything was empty. The gentleman told his superiors that the chest was full, and that is why he did not move it. I told them that I just moved in and nothing was even at the home yet besides the empty furniture. I feel like you should not have to watch each person individually to make sure that everything is done. The technician is courteous, but I was not aware that work was being neglected while I was downstairs watching the upholstery cleaning. Now I have to have them come out a second time when I should be at work. This is just completely unexceptable!

Excellent, very professional from start to finish. Two employees arrived timely, dressed in uniform, and explained the process beginning to end. They showed me the current ducts prior to cleaning and after to see the difference. They wore footies on their shoes to protect our hardwood floors and put other protective measures in place to ensure that the walls were not damaged. My husband and I both have allergies as well as a newborn in the house. We noticed a huge difference in the air quality our home after having the service performed.

It was Ok though they called to say they were coming earlier than I had stipulated on-line. They kept the original appointment time when asked to do so however. They came in on time and did the cleaning. I would have wanted a little discussion or acknowledgement of the spots that did not come out. Instead I found them for myself after they left. My carpet had not been cleaned for awhile so they did an Above average job, but not necessarily better than the last company I used, which was Hagopian, in terms of spot removal. They did not leave the carpet as wet as Hagopian , and I liked that. I would use them again. I could have gotten this done more cheaply, but I hesitated to use a lesser known company that was offering a better price. My friends had used Modernistic successfully.

They arrived on time and set up their equipment to clean an older wall to wall carpet in a bedroom. I was told, in detail, what they would be doing. In addition, I was told other services that Modernistic provides. I will be using them soon to clean my area rugs. In addition, they told me how to clean my grout and recondition it, free of charge, saving me about $300. I will definitely use Modernistic again for all my carpet needs.

They cleaned carpets and ducts -- two separate crews. I think there are multiple trucks so you may or may not get the same individuals as I got. They were excellent in every respect.

Both services were done on the same day. The air duct cleaning I thought could have been better. I did see some left over dog hair and dirt from the previous owner. in some of the vents. The carpet cleaning was well done. The 17 year old carpet looks almost like new.

We were able to get an appointment quickly that worked with our schedule. They did a great job. Even went over the traffic areas twice. Prompt and curtious.

Modernistic was very responsive and set a time that worked best for me. Dave called to let me know he would be coming and arrived exactly on time. The carpeting had a couple of stains that came out beautifully, the carpet (off white) looks like new although it's 9 years old. The stairs and area rug look great. Dave expalined every detail of what he was going to do before he did it. The job was finished in a little over an hour with minimal inconvenience. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

I reached out to Modernsitic based on the feedback I read on Angie's list. After contemplating about using Hot Water Extraction (HWE) vs ChemDry process, I decided to go with HWE as I had used that in the past. I am extremely happy that I went with Modernistic. The entire proces right from the initial call to the finish was smooth. The team arrived on time, explained what they would do, reviewed the stains in the carpet and explained the success rate etc. When we indicated that the stairs may need another round of cleaning, the team happily obliged. I am very satisfied and would use them again.

Modernistic seems to really value their customers, as their level of professionalism from start to finish is excellent. Each service we used was approximately 100.00. Also love the easily accessible coupons available for their services.

I started researching companies to have our carpets cleaned after our daughter was diagnosed with asthma. I found Modernistic here on Angie's List, and I checked out their website. It was very easy to use in order to obtain a free quote. I then shopped their prices with a few other companies, and found theirs to be the best value. I was then able to schedule the cleaning date and time that best suited our family's schedule. The technicians arrived on time, and were very good at what they do. Our carpets were in great shape, and felt much cleaner (even though they were new carpets installed just a few months prior). We were very happy with their services and will be using them again in the future when needed.

Prompt, courteous and accomodating. A fair value.

Two men showed up and did a fine job, making sure that protectors prevented the walls from being nicked up or marred by the vacuum hoses. The cleaning of the carpet was OK, but I believe the cleaning wasn't a deep cleaning but satisfactory. Where their job excellled was in the basement, they got up all the spots and more-so. We did have a problem with a nuisance spot that came up after 2 days, we took care of it instead of calling back the company. (Our basement carpeting is not sensitive to fading and we used bleach to fix the issue) Overall I'm happy with thier service and would use them again.

In the past I have always cleaned our carpets myself using a Hoover Upright Steam Cleaning Machine, which I own. I get good results with our Hoover and am able to spend extra time vacuuming up the cleaning fluids to achieve a very dry carpet. I am also able to control the amount of cleaner used and can do a rinse after the cleaning process. All of that being said we decided that it was time for a professional cleaning and to have the carpet spot protected. RESULTS: Mixed - The Technician (Jay) was friendly, very professional and thorough. I had moved all moveable furniture into the middle of each room so all he had to do was to clean behind it and move it back into place. The carpet after drying was noticeably cleaner and my wife and I were pleased with the cleaning results. My only complaint was that the carpet was soaked into the padding and took two days to dry. For two days we walked around with wet socks. Because I have always cleaned our carpets my self I don't have experience with how wet a carpet should be after perfessional cleaning. I do have to note that we had the carpet spot protected and that process leaves the carpet wet. But that should have been a surface wetness, not a soaked thru to the padding wetness. Additionally because the carpet was so wet it left an odor that lasted for several days. Once the carpet dryed completely the odor went away. If I use Modernistic again I would certainly specify that I want extra effort put into removing the cleaning fluid to leave a resonably dry carpet.

They came. On time. They cleaned. They left.

The carpet was really dirty to begin with. I am not completely satisfied with the work. They completed the work quickly and later I found some spots. I was not home during to the time of work but they were professional
