Good looking door and great service!

Although I called in the morning, they could not come til evening when the emergency fee was in effect. The door could not be shut, so we felt that we had to have it done. I liked the workers but did not appreciate the added fees.

I called for an emergency repair. The door was knocked off the track and wouldn't close. I didn't want to leave it (and all of the contents) open to all passersby on the alley. I called and was originally given a an appointment window four hours later. When I explained the situation, they moved up the appointment. Mike arrived 45 minutes later. He had to bend the track back into place and replace several rollers. He explained that the track (which was over 20 years old) would have to be replaced because it had been structurally compromised. I also needed a new door. He provided a quote, and the cost of the repair would be applied toward the new door. I got three other quotes for a new door and ended up going with a lower quote. However, I was extremely pleased with the level of service I received.

Door took a while to come in. Overall the experience was good. Price was high.

I call for emergency service on a Friday at 7:00 pm and a service man was at my house by 9:00 pm. That's good service. The service man checked my door and opener and found I had a very old system that did not have the required safety eyes. He said he wouldn't be able to replace the spring on a door without safety eyes due to a new garage door law. I had paid a $200 emergency service call fee and didn't get any repairs done due to a law I didn't know about. I contacted Joe Smith and explained my problem of paying for service and having nothing done. He explained to me that sometimes a customer will have this problem due to the new garage door law. He said he would refund my $200 because cases like mine sometimes happen and they want to make things right with their customers. He did refund my money. Now that shows that Precision Garage Door is a first class company and a happy customer is very important to them. I thank them for their service and I think others will be happy with their service also.

Their pricing was an A because they gave us different options. I would definitely use them again. I was really impressed, they were really cool.

Did not use their service; their lowest estimate was double what we paid to have the job done by another company.

I was informed the garage door was old and hinges were no longer available. I was given a sale pitch to buy a door from their company the cost between 1,600 & 2,200. Called the garage man company and for $100 new hinge installed door tuned up. What a scam!

It went well. We haven't had any problems.

Came out within a day or so of me contacting them and gave an estimate on a new garage door and opener. They had done some repair work on the old door previously and had done a timely fix at that time, so I was happy to give them this job. The door had a broken cable and while they could have repaired it, I wanted a new garage door and picked a beauty with sunburst windows. When it came in, we set up an install date. I received an email confirmation of the appointment, as well as who would be doing the install. Steve called me the day of the install when he was on his way. They were on time, if not early. They were done in just a few hours and hauled away the old door and cleaned up the site. Steve reviewed the function and maintenance of the door and had me set the access code so we could test it out. I'm pretty happy with the whole process. I was notified either by phone and/or email at every step so there was no guessing what was happening when. Would certainly recommend them

The experience was good. It was prompt service.

Once the new door arrived the next week, the installation went well and I was happy with the door. I just wished the had closed my previous garage door so that my garage wasn't open for a week.

His promptness and knowing what he was doing. His recommendations was done in an reasonable amount of time. That he seemed trustworthy, and he seemed to know what he was doing. He was an expert at what he was doing. I didn't price anyone else, so I have nothing to way against it.

Did a great job; though a little on the pricey side. But it was done well and much quicker than I thought.

Justin called earlier than the window they gave me. Diagnosed the problem , gave me options , then fixed the problem . I was very happy & would definitely recommend this company to anyone that has a problem with their garage door.

It was a good experience. It was excellent. It was well beyond what I've expected. I can't believe what they did for the cost. It was quite very impressive. I expected to pay three times or more than what they charged me. My interaction with them was fine. There was nothing really unusual. It was just kind of shocking. It was just a very good service at an extremely reasonable price. They came out and took care of it very quickly.

Precision came out and gave me 3 quotes - Good, Better Best. I was told the opener had to be replaced, news springs, cables, all 10 rollers and 4 pulleys. The quotes ranged from $1100 to $1400. I then had two other companies come out to quote. BOTH immediately stated that the opener was fine with the exception of a single gear that had cracked ($13). I was told that the rollers were nylon and would never wear out and the pulleys and cables were fine. My entire door had been replaced 8 years prior. Including TWO new springs I had the entire job done for $270. including all labor and even new cables (for my peace of mind) I am outraged at the overselling and lack of honesty shown by Precision. When Two other people knew in 30 seconds about my opener and their guy told me it was shot and had to be replaced. If you call them, make SURE you get quotes from other companies as well. -- Larry Garcia

They were excellent. There were some inconveniences but they fixed the problem and they were always so polite. They never made me feel like I was the inconvenience. They sympathized with me and understood my frustration. They made me feel like they understood how I felt and they were going to resolve this problem.

They state 24/7 service but i had to wait day and a half for appointment

I was leery to begin with, due to past experience of hiring a company through Angie's list, and being over charged, even with a so called coupon, but did so anyway. This Company is a total rip off! This is the third company I've hired through Angie's List, that is a total scam. I am done with Angie's List. We had one broken spring on our garage door. After they inspected, we were quoted $554 to replace springs and some bearings. We asked how much without bearings, and were told that it would only be about $100 less, however he would NOT replace the springs alone. When asked about Angie's List coupon, we were told that was price with coupon. Obviously we refused the work, but of course we were charged a $75 service call fee. Yes, we were told that would be deducted if services were performed, but we thought that because it was through "Angie's List" is must be good, and we would have the work done. Just the opposite. Should have listened to my instincts. We ended up hiring another company that was up front with their pricing, completed the job quickly and efficiently, said we definitely did not need bearings, and..wait for it..replaced both springs for $175.00! Need I say more? Go to Michigan Door Maintenance. FYI: replacing garage door springs should only be around $150-$200 complete..do your homework!

Excellent. Door works perfectly again. Quote was competitive. Showed up and performed work as scheduled.
