 + -1 moreKen, his crew, and his reception staff were excellent to work with. They dealt with all of our crazy building delays even though it meant stretching their own schedule to not delay my project. We haven't had much time to test the utility bills yet, but it is already cooler in the house (summer), and it is whisper quiet despite being in a relatively urban area. Their price was the most competitive out of the three we received, and we hired them because they got great reviews. Glad we did .
Description of Work: Top to bottom whole house insulation including wpray foam insulation and blown in insulation in the attic; spray foam insulation in basement crawlspaces and around bonds; whole house cellulose wall insulation including retrofitting behind existing walls.

Description of Work: Insulated attic to R-49. After they left, our fan in our master bedroom began leaking water. I took off the cover. It was plugged with insulation. I called them. They suggested that I could fix it. They said to take pictures and call them if I had any problems. It was a relatively easy fix. The vent pipe was disconnected from the fan, so I a reattached it. No issues. |My one complaint is that the quote was not detailed enough. I wanted the entire attic insulated. They did not insulate the garage ceiling. I wish the quote had noted this because I would have had it done. Also, I based the price per square foot on the entire house. Without the garage, the price was a little high

 + -1 moreThey showed up when they said they would, were very careful not to track into the house. Made sure that interior spaces where insulation might blow through (e.g. under sink where pipes go through walls) were protected. I was extremely pleased with their professionalism, and believe it or not can already tell the difference. The older part of the house does not lose as many degrees during cool evenings like it did before. Hoping to see a difference in heating bills this winter. (But not in a hurry for that!)
Description of Work: Added insulation to older part of the house.

 + -1 moreI LIKED THE PRICE AND THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH ME ON DIFFERANT OPTIONS TO MEET MY NEEDS. I AM WORKING AS FAST AS I CAN TO GET READY FOR THEM AND WILL MOST DEFFINATELY BE CALLING THEM TO INSULATE MY HOUSE WHEN ITS READY TO GO.
Description of Work: I HAD THEM SCHEDULED FOR A QUOTE ON A BASEMENT JOB. FIRST APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED BY THE TECH COMING OUT DUE TO A LIGHT SNOW. FEW DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE OWNER EXPLAINING WHAT HAD HAPPENED. LONG STORY BUT THE POOR GUY WAS PLAYING CATCH UP FROM A BAD EMPLOYEES ACTIONS. I THOUGHT THE SITUATION WAS HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY AND PROMPTLY. AS A BUSINESS OWNER MYSELF I KNOW THE ISSUES WE CAN ENCOUNTER WITH THE PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR US. IN ORDER TO SERVICE THE CLIENT YOU HAVE TO RELY ON THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR YOU AND THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS GO THE WAY WE WOULD LIKE IT TO

 + -1 moreThey were absolutely wonderful. Two groups came; the 'attic' group and the basement 'group.' Each was very professional and caring. The basement guys got the 'worst' of it, as there was a lot of stuff to be moved to gain access to the crawl space and some of the basement perimeter area. Each cleaned up after their part of the project and invited me to look around to see if they had missed anything. Mr. Church came by to make sure that everything was okay. All of his workmen were sweet and all very willing to share with me the reason they were doing what they were doing. I'd use them again in a New York MInute!
Description of Work: Insulated attic area to bring insulation up to a better R-factor; better insulated crawl space, basement perimeter walls, installed vents and made recessed lighting more energy efficient with capping and insulation.

 + -1 moreEven thought it was below freezing, they were able remove and reinstall the brittle siding without damage. The house has never been so warm. I should have done this long ago. The only thing that went wrong was a loss of power to two lights and an outlet. It was an easy fix, once the problem was isolated.
Description of Work: I hired Church's to insulate my 1890's farmhouse. I had found many of my walls had no insulation. Animals had carried away and smashed down the attic insulation. My stone foundation and beam sills had gaps letting the wind and bugs to penetrate. For the walls, they planned to remove strips of my very old brittle vinyl siding, drill holes for blowing & venting the insulation. For two of my three attics, they would remove siding, cut a hole in the gable (over the 2nd floor), and crawl into the cavity. In the basement and crawlspaces, the plan was to spray 2 inches of expanding closed cell foam.
