Overall it was pretty good. So far there hasn’t been any problem. So far it’s pretty good. The only thing that I would request them to improve upon is to have more knowledge about using the programme of the thermostat because it’s pretty complex. I don’t know if I would use their services again in the future.

Overall experience was fine. After our satisfactory experience with the furnace they were the logical ones to call for the AC. All the reviews on Matheson are very good. I can't add much more than to say that they are consistent and their work is excellent..

. They were twice as much money as the other company with whom I went. When he came out he spent twice as much time selling the company, telling me what a great company it was, and how long he has been in business. Whereas the company who did the work for me, talked about all the mechanics. What he is going to put in, the size of the unit and how he going to run the hoses and all of that. It was a free estimate. Probably I would consider them for a bid in the future.

Mark was courteous and professional in his assessment of the A/C needs for my home. He spent time to patiently determine the proper system to match with our desire to have individual controls in each room so that everyone including a 93-year old parent would be comfortable. This resulted in an ingenious plan to place units in 3 bedrooms and the 4th unit in the living room. Mark went out of his way to answer my questions, provide a detailed bid, and move the project forward quickly to meet my deadline. On the first day of the installation, he arrived with the installers to discuss the location of exterior wiring and condenser as well as the location of the units on the interior walls. I felt that Matheson cared as much about the esthetic blending in of the system as they did the functional working of the system. I appreciate that. Installation was completed in a timely 2 days. The workmen were courteous, respectful and proud of the company they represent. We are thoroughly enjoying our new A/C.....should have done it sooner!

I have used this company since 1999, when I had to replace the furnace due to a class action lawsuit involving faulty vent piping- Matheson's had nothing to do with the problem- I called them to help me fix it. I have always found Matheson's service to be prompt, professional and high quality. Their service technicians are well trained and very polite and professional. This company stands behind their work and follows through on all commitments they make. I have used Matheson's for furnace issues and maintenance, a/c maintenance, duct cleaning and servicing the humidifier attached to my heating and cooling system. In fact, two generations of my family have relied on Matheson's excellent service for many years. The integrity of this family owned business is of the highest I have seen. I would highly recommend them without reservation.

Matheson came quickly to diagnose the problem, recharged the refrigerant to get the system functional again, ordered the parts, and completed the replacement within a week. They were very professional and prompt.

We were satisfied with the service provided, and we appreciated the suggestion on the age of the furnace and the likelihood that it might not be as efficient as a new one. There was no pressure to try to sell us a new furnace. My only disappointment came after we moved in and I had to remove a panel from the furnace and found quite a bit of rust scale and dirt on top of the boiler. I assumed this would've been cleaned when the technician was here, but perhaps not.

Mark Ebner (Comfort Advisor) came to my house on 10/08/2010 and advised me on the funace, humidifier and water heater I needed and the price. Everything sounded good so I signed the contract. The Installers were at my house on 10/11/2010 at about 8:15 am and had everything installed checked out and set up by about 4:00. They were courteous, professional and I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of young men. In fact one of them helped me install a new door latch on my storm door for which I was very grateful. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing this work done.

We just bought our home and wanted to make sure everything was functioning well. The tech was knowledgeable about the system and familiar with the other homes in the neighborhood. He was thorough and explained everything to me.

Heard some strange noises coming from the furnace, so I called Matheson to check it out. They arrived promptly when the appointment was scheduled, diagnosed the potential problem (a blower motor that was showing signs of age), and recommended a course of action (keep it as is until it doesn't work, since the part is expensive).

Prompt reply to initial phone call -- appt made the same day. PErson came promptly and did work in 45 mionutes, explaining everything as he worked. No pressure to make bigger repairs or rerplace the 35 year old compressor.

I got the best service during the "selling" stage. They were very responsive when it came to making the sale. The service techs did a nice job. Very clean and professional. But once we paid, I didn't heard from them again. One would think after spending $10K you might get a follow-up thank you. When I called the salesman for further information on a different subject, he didn't return my call. On to the next sale I suppose. Once the initial service contract is up, I see no reason to stay with them solely based on service. Update 9/23 - I received a very nice follow-up call subsequent to this posting and I was very impressed with their response. I am very pleased that they confirmed the importance of us as a client. Very professional.

Found their name on your list. Contacted them on Friday, 7/9. Mike answered and took the information (I told him that I did not need emergency service.) and set up an appointment for Tuesday, 7/13 any time during the day. John called me Tuesday morning to tell me when he would arrive. He came on time and performed the repair in a timely manner. He replaced the capacitor. Both Mike and John were courteous and professional and easy to deal with.

A/C unit stopped working on Tuesday, they sent out a repairman and the unit was not fixable. Installed a new unit on Saturday. Excellent service - excellent company to work with.

Our central air conditioner suddenly quit blowing cold air on the hottest day of the year. I called Matheson around 10 a.m. and Jason, the technician, arrived shortly thereafter. I didn't think it would be possible to get service so quickly on such a hot day. He diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor, replaced the part (which he had with him) and had our unit up and running in no time. Our entire experience with Matheson was a positive one from start to finish.

They were fine. I had no complaints. We probably would use them again. The one thing is that they had a check list that said how to handle issues with the A/C, but the guy never went over it. He just handed me the sheet. He was knowledgeable in all the questions that I asked him. He just told us that we would need a new A/C someday soon. We know that because it is twenty years old. They were able to come out the same day or the next day. The guy was courteous. I have no idea about the price because I didn't check with anybody else.

They're great. They were responsive in coming out, they're punctual and the service man showed me some things I can do myself with the furnace. He was very helpful.

Furnace was not staying lit and was blowing cold air. Called Matheson Monday morning at 8am and someone was out by 12:30p. They were polite, professional and prepared. The furnace ended up only needing to be cleaned and the humidifier filter needed to be changed. They did not try to talk us into doing something unnecessary and even gave us a few pointers!

They service techs arrived at the time specified and had most of the materials required. Some duct work transition pieces were required that were ordered from the home shop and arrived in a timely manner. The work included removing some old heating system components such as an oil tank and heavy steel heat exchanger. This was done proffessionally and with a minimum of mess. There was also a need to cut holes in the side wall of the house for the new PVC vents. When the job was complete it looked like the vents had always been there. Overall, I am very happy with the work completed and the manner in which it was completed.

I was very happy with the services from Matheson. They were on time, polite, professional, reasonably priced even helped me with a warranty issue on the furnace that I was having with the manufacturer. I would definitely recommend and/or use this company again.
