They do veterinary services, and there is just one girl that would groom dogs on certain days, no one else does it but her and she is the one that did it. I would say do not take you pet there for grooming, but everything else they are good with. The doctor is good, but this girl and the grooming is separate from them. This girl who does the grooming, she operates out of Charlotte Veterinary Hospital and also at home too, so she is kind of independent. We have to buy heartworm tablets and that is what costs a lot. So specifically when we visit them for heartworm then we have to buy tablets through them. Their price is just moderate, not too expensive and not too cheap. Our vet there is Dr. Miller and he seems very knowledgeable. He seems like he knows what he is doing and I trust him. I hope that no body gets their dog groomed there.

Because Maddie is an older dog, she needed a chest x-ray first to make sure she could tolerate the treatment. Thankfully the heartworms had not clogged her heart or lungs. He was very thorough, explained things and answered my questions. Instructions given were very clear. Dr. Miller spent time with Maddie, letting her go to him then talking to and petting her. He asked how I was doing with her and her care in general. I was very impressed with his calmness, both when a puppy came in with an emergency situation and when he dealt with Maddie.

Maddie is the first dog I've had that was heartworm positive, so this entire process of treatment was new to me. I had never met Dr. Miller before but was impressed with his warmth and kindness from the start. I felt entirely at ease with him and very trusting of him to take care of Maddie, doing the best that could be done for her. Maddie has done well, and at her last check-up in June she was found to still be heartworm microfilaria free, and remains on heartworm prevention medicine monthly.

I would definitely return to Dr. Miller with Maddie or a dog that I owned. Since Maddie is still a foster dog, all costs were covered by the rescue group and I do not know the amount of money they spent on Maddie's treatment so I cannot address the cost involved.
Based on my experiences with Dr. Miller, I would not hesitate to recommend him to one looking for a good vet in the Charlotte area.
