Property Care Hardwood Floors

I'm sorry I didn't know about Property Care prior to having my flooring installed. I would have definitely hired them. From the initial contact with Barbara, they were very accommodating and professional. Tom and Melissa did an excellent job. I'm very happy.

This is a great family run business. The only minor issues were with the subcontractor; but that wasn't enough to discourage me. My floors look amazing and everyone was very helpful. I get comments all the time on how wonderful the floors look. I don't have any experience with hardwood and the results surpassed my expectations.

We have an OwensCorning engineered white oak hardwood floor on concrete slab. It was installed 9 years ago. A water damage buckle began to appear about 6 months ago. Tom removed the damaged slabs and replaced them with new OwensCorning engineered boards. Tom finished the unstained new boards to very closely match the appearance of the current floor. The installation and fit into the existing floor is perfect. It was an A+ experience. We really appreciate Tom's help with this difficult and tricky hardwood floor repair.

Tom phoned immediately after we left message from Angies List as expected extremely busy at this time of year but would put us on list and gave us approximate date for installation surprised us with call next day a job had moved up for him and we were a small job he could get in and install for us came right on time and did an excellent job they not only installed in a professional manor they cleaned up thoroughly and were very easy to communicate with we would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone

Great service, prompt, easy to work with

Tom came and did the estimate, we liked him from the start because he was thorough and very knowledgeable in what he was doing and what he felt would be good for us. Despite a different estimate, we went with Property Care, because of the other reviews and our trust in his experience. They came and ripped out our carpeted dining room, which had linoleum glued on to wood to make it even more difficult. They truly worked so hard to get all that up. They were very considerate and covered anything in the basement that would get sawdust on it from dropping through the sub floor. Tom looked at our other hard wood that we wanted to refinish and he found that we had red oak. But we had mentioned that the other estimator thought we had white oak and so white oak was ordered. Then it turned out to be red oak, our mistake. He was He was nice about it, he said they could return the white oak and get red oak from a supplier near by and it wouldn't delay anything, didn't even act like it was a big deal. They were so good about letting me and my kids be in the house, since it had already started to get chilly in October. They were nice to my kids and they worked so hard. They even covered a small hole in a closet that used to have a washer and dryer in it, and didn't charge us extra. The refinishing crew was also very very good, they helped us get the color that we wanted, You would think that staining the wood might get on the carpet, even just a tiny bit, but no, there wasn't even a hint that anything was on the carpet or anything. And they were so fast! We went with the water finish since we had 3 kids and they even said that it would be safe to stay after a couple of coats of finish. Which was so nice to not have to get kids to sleep in a hotel. Overall, their work was beautiful, fast and really really great quality. They made our experience so good that we will not go with anyone else when we decided to do our kitchen and the rest of our house. They are an amazing. They deserve an A++++++ rating. You can't beat good quality work. You won't regret working with them, even if your estimate is cheaper somewhere else. Quality may cost a little bit more, but you can't put a price on an excellent and well done job. Thank you Tom and crew!

Property Care did a great job and did a very good job cleaning up the worksite each day.

Our house is almost 100 years old. Parts of the floor were buckled. They patched one small area, flattened out the buckles and refinished 2 rooms. We can not be more pleased with the results. Up to now, I've have done all the floor refinishing so I know what is involved. These guys are total pro's. The job is perfect. I had removed and stripped 3 pieces of base molding as part of another project and they volunteered to stain and finish it while doing the floor. They were here for 3 days. Always on time and never left any kind of mess behind. I will use them again when I start on other parts of the old house.

They did a fantastic job! The floors look absolutely amazing! Tom was very helpful in explaining the process and the different types of materials that could be used (prefinished/unfinished). They removed the tile that was in the kitchen and brought a small trailer to haul away the debri. They knew we wanted to be moved in by Thanksgiving, so Property Care made every effort to get the project done ahead of schedule. They were able to start and finish ahead of the original planned completion date. And we are thrilled with the results! They do quality work down to the last detail and clean up afterward. This is a family-owned and operated business and each one of them are a pleasure to work with. We would definitely use them again!!!

I was very happy with the service. They responded immediately and were very helpful in explaining what was the best way to install and the appropriate product to use. Installation was done in a timely manner and very professionally. We are very happy with the result and will definitely use this company in the future.

Tom and Tom were tremendous. They came out quickly to provide our quote, gave us excellent advice and information regarding what kind of flooring would be appropriate for our new home. Barb was extremely helpful is directing me to a showroom where I could see a wide variety of samples and find a beautiful floor. The installation was completed quickly and meticulously - we couldn't be happier.

This is the second time we have used property care because our first installation was quite tricky with stairs and other complications. They were the only contractor who even re-contacted us fort that job which they completed extremely well. They provided me with four quotes for pre-finished and unfinished maple and the same again for hickory. We have an old house and neither of the two bedrooms had completely level floors but they were able to overcome this. As said by by others, this is a family business and they do everything you would hope for such as show up on time. Complete the job on schedule and are tidy and polite. We highly recommend this company.

When we initially met with them to get a quote, they were very polite and professional. They answered all of our questions, and gave us a price on the spot, which was nice since some other companies took a couple days to get back to us with the quote. Their price was squarely in the middle of the other quotes we received, and the amount of time they needed to do the job was reasonable. Their distributor didn't have enough of the wood we wanted to do the job, and it took a couple of months for them to get more. During the wait, we contacted them a few times with questions and they were very helpful every time. When they came to do the work, they showed up on time each day and the work proceeded smoothly. They were very polite and professional, and always took time to answer our questions when we had them. They even helped us move some furniture back into the kitchen, which wasn't on the quote. They finished the work right on time and cleaned up when they left. The quality of the work is excellent. The attention to detail they showed while installing the wood really shows that they care about doing a good job. The new floors look amazing, and we're very happy with them.

This family owned business is Number 1 on our list ! We just finished a 1,200 sq. ft. addition which was a nightmare. Most crews including the builder were so disrespectful to our home and so this hardwood job just blew us away how professional there were. Squeezed us in as our builder dropped the ball with his hardwood guy and we did not put in the usual floors. We installed 4 inch quarter sawn white oak and it turned out amazing. Can't say enough about this business. I would highly recommend.

Property Care did a wonderful job! They were very prompt when they came to give me a quote, as well as getting the actual job completed. Everything went smoothly. They did a great job of matching the stain color with the existing floors. Everyone was very professional and nice. They cleaned up after themselves everyday, which I loved. My new floors look great. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I will definitely use them again in the future!

-PC were very attentive and punctual -They arrived for an initial visit, talked through my options and then gave me an accurate timing for when the job could start and finish -The crew was professional and the workmanship so far (4 months now) is pretty good -The only downside was they had to use the garage to cut the wood and left the place covered in sawdust. I know it was winter and all, but they should have warned me. I would have covered a few things. I would definitely hire them again based on their workmanship and price

Today at 3:15 PM When we decided to have our hardwood floors refinished as opposed to replacing the carpeting, we called three companies for estimates. Property Care we found through Angie's List, another company through Home Advisors, the third through a friend. All three were competitive in price, but something stood out about Tom H. His knowledge and professionalism made a great first impression. He did not rush through the estimate and answered any questions that we had. He recognized that we needed a more durable finish in such high traffic areas due to two 75 -80 lb. "grand dogs" that come to visit. He suggested an oil finish. From the beginning, we were kept informed and the work was done as scheduled. Because we needed to be out of the house completely for the staining and sealing, it was important to us that Property Care stayed on schedule. They started the prep work on a Tuesday (removed carpeting and staples) and the sanding, staining and coating was all done by Friday night, finishing work was completed on Saturday morning. On Saturday we opened the windows and turned on the attic fan (invaluable if you have one) Most of the odor dissipated that day. Although some smell lingered for several days, it was bearable. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship. There were many pet stains that Tom advised us might not come out and maybe we should go with a darker stain. But I had my heart set on a golden oak, and it turned out great. There was only one darker spot left right in front of the back door and that will be covered by an area rug. There was one minor area we were not pleased with, where the hallway transitioned into our other two bedrooms that my husband had refinished several years before - we thought that should have been sanded down and blended more than was done. But I didn't want that smell back again so we will touch it up ourselves. Clean up was done as explained and we are happy with the end result. All in all a very good job.

Tom and his wife Barb came over twice and gave a estimate's. We started out wanting tigerwood but then could not find a proper supplier. After a couple of weeks Barb managed to come up with a source. A install date was set. Tom and his son Tom and Daughter Mellisa showed up and started the job. They had to move furniture around and deal with us living there during the whole install. Every day they were here on time and were very polite, neat, and answered any questions I had. The work quality was very very good. The outcome was great and we are enjoying our new floor. So they install over 1600 feet of hardwood and the stairway.

We have a beautiful haedwood floor throughout kitchen, living room and hallway. Supplier did an excellent job, was prompt and responsive to our needs.I was very impressed with this company and highly recommend them.

Our experience with Property Care was excellent from beginning to end. We had researched and shopped for prefinished hardwood flooring and were a step away from ordering from a local supplier when we decided to get a price from Property Care. One phone call to Barbara set the process in motion and within the week we'd had a home visit and estimate. We were delighted to find that the quote from Property Care was competitive with prices for prefinished floors (which they do offer if clients prefer these), but allowed us the option to have the floor color of our choice. The Property Care Team inspired confidence throughout the entire process because of their professional approach, knowledge about wood flooring/installation, and commitment to quality. Two of the team members participated in our installation after attending a conference to update/maintain their certification with their professional organization. Although everything progressed without delay on Property Care's end, when family needs arose to make our upcoming installation inconvenient for us Tom went out of his way to reschedule our finishing date. Any questions or concerns we had received prompt, courteous attention via email. The team members who followed the installers to prep and stain our floors were also a gold mine of information and equally customer focused. At each step of the process we had the time necessary to make our selections and decisions, without being rushed. We have been extremely pleased with the finished product, and have received many compliments on our flooring. We are not sure if the company's high quality orientation and practices are due to it being a family business. But in any case, when dealing with Property Care you will find many of the hallmarks of successful, long lasting family businesses, like reliable, helpful, customer centered service from people who take pride in and stand behind their work. We will contact Property Care first should we need flooring in the future.

Their price was ok. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. We left them with our key and they kept in contact with us. The only problem was I wanted a water based finish and he suggested glitsa which is alcohol based. He said the smell would be mostly gone by the time we got home. It was not and my brother came in and opened the window the next day as recommended. My brother had eye irratation and a little difficulty breathy. It took weeks for the smell to go away. We had to wash bedding to get smell out. They are professional and I am pleased with the outcome. Just wasn't expecting the smell.
