I called CET on a Tuesday afternoon, and they were able to schedule me for between 8 am and 12 pm on that Thursday morning. I was pleased they could come out that quickly (they could have come Wednesday afternoon but I couldn't be home then). David Lilly called at about 8:30 am to let me know he would be arriving in 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic. He arrived in about 20 minutes. I can't say enough great things about him - he immediately put on "booties" to protect my floors, was very personable and engaging, worked efficiently, explained what he had done, and reassured me that everything was fine (I was worried that I had more significant problems with my electrical panel). I thought the cost was very reasonable. I found CET on Angie's List, choosing them because of all the great reviews. I would absolutely trust CET, and particularly David, with any future electrical work we need done.

Dale, our technician, was great! He called ahead of time, and even showed up early. He was very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to help us with our electrical issues in our new place. He wore boot covers the whole time and left the place nice and tidy!

We were contacted after the order to send a photo of the electrical box to make sure we had space to install the surge protector. We were contacted and asked for three possible dates for the install. We were notified of the date of the install within a 3 hour window. The day of the install the technician called within the 3 hour window to let us know he would arrive in 20 minutes. The tech arrived and the install took about 15 minutes. He explained how the surge protector worked and provided the warranty booklet. After a little cleanup he provided an invoice (we had paid through Angie's List) which I signed and received a copy. All quick, neat, and tidy

Excellent. I had an outlet with the prongs of a broken plug stuck in it - he removed the prongs and checked the outlet. I had another with a dodgy Reset button - he checked it and suggested that it be replaced. I had a ceiling fan with a broken light fixture - he made an initial examination and offered suggestions on how it could be fixed. And I had three nonfunctioning fluorescent lights; he inspected each and offered guidance on their repairs also. He provided a range of options to fix the nonfunctioning items, from DIY to contracting with CET, and gave me an estimate along with advice on how I could get the best value for my money. He even offered input one what to do with a failing torchiere lamp. Very helpful and professional; I would definitely use his/CET's services again.

Jesse Rosenthal performed the safety inspection. He called prior to arriving and was very professional. He performed a thorough inspection of our house (including the garage, basement, and outside) and took time to explain not only what he was doing and why, but what he found and the recommendation to fix (if necessary). I had a few questions of my own including the installation of vent fans in the bathrooms and new outlets in the basement and he helped me understand what the electrician would do vs. what was a DIY or handyman project. When the inspection was done, he wrote up his recommendations and provided an estimate for the repair costs, which he went over in detail. I was pleased with his service and will likely use CET to do the repairs/upgrades.

We scheduled service for seven lighting fixtures (including a combination ceiling fan with light) based on the reviews on Angie's List. Todd from Certified Electrical Technologies called promptly prior to arriving about 30 minutes prior to his arrival at the beginning of the agreed to appointment window. Todd immediately put on foot coverings at our front door and proceeded to review and explain the work to be performed. Todd was great to work with as he explained everything clearly, was very efficient, knowledgeable and skilled resulting in an excellent customer experience on our part. The installed fixtures look great even though Todd encountered a few unexpected challenges (including a missing part - we provided the fixtures) which Todd was able to address and get the job done. Todd took great care to ensure that everything was properly installed and his clean up left our home in good shape. Todd's work and professionalism is the best we have experienced, guaranteeing that we will be coming back to Certified Electrical and Todd for all of our future electrical needs and projects. Highly recommended without hesitation.

CET technician Jesse Rosenthal is consummate professional. He showed up on time and he did the job right and the pricing was right. He spent the time explaining what he was going to do and what materials he had to install. After the installation, he presented the invoice and he kept is very simple. I would recommend anyone that has an electrical problem to go with this company.

The technician showed up promptly at 8 am and was finished by 8:30. He replaced all the smoke detectors in my home quickly and professionally. He was also very personable which is always a plus. I'll definitely contact CET for any electrical service I may require.

Technician went around to all outlets using a standard Ground Fault Tester. That was it! That was the extent to test/inspection. I mentioned several fixtures/outlets (including porch/garage lantern and existing smoke detectors) not working properly, technician provided no insight/troubleshooting. It wouldn't have been much to use a circuit tracer, etc... and make note of observations in inspection report. I eventually corrected issues on my own- but, I was disappointed with scope/depth this service provide. My rating of this company is "extremely low" because they had the audacity to charge customers close to $100 to essentially do the bare minimum. The company followed-up, but first impression are lasting... and I didn't see any value in interacting with them at the time. I would not recommend purchasing their special for the above reasons (I have no insight on other services). I would instead recommend home owners spend $13 at Walmart and pick up basic Electrical Test Tools. This company offers no insight beyond.

Eric phoned to say he was on his way and to provide an ETA the afternoon of my appointment. When he arrived he was very professional and courteous. Eric answered all of my questions and made some recommendations for a couple of electrical issues with my home that I asked him about. I would definitely recommend Certified Electrical Technologies and I plan to use them again.

I got a confirming email the day before the appointment, which was for 12-3 the next afternoon. On the day of the appointment, the technician called ahead to give his name and confirm his arrival time. He was able to come about half an hour early, which was a nice surprise. When he got to the house we reviewed what needed to be done, and we agreed on which jobs he would do in what order. He got right to work checking the circuit that was out, identified the problem, and fixed it. Then he replaced the upstairs hall lights, and finally worked on the outside lights. Even though the light blocks I got didn't have the right cut-outs, he trimmed them himself, anchored them firmly, and finished replacing the lights themselves. Everything looked great when he was done, all areas were clean, and he put the old lamps in the empty boxes. He was very professional and courteous, and explained that I needed to print out the Angie's List coupon for him to compute the bill. The price was very reasonable, even without a discount, and all the work was done very well. I highly recommend CET and plan to call them the next time I need electrical work. Thank you!

We had two light switches that stopped working. After reaching out through Angie's List, I received a response in only a few hours and was able to schedule my appointment very soon afterwards. The electrician called when he was on his way and replaced the two switches within an half hour.

Great. The window was set from 1-4 pm and the technician arrived at 1. He was very polite and answered all of my questions. I would definitely use them again and for any follow on services.

CET was assigned by American Home Shield for our service provider for above mentioned work. I am reviewing based on all the attribute that i have given the ratings. 1. Quality: For kitchen light that clearly need to be replaced, the technician did the temporary fix that fell down after 10 days. Thank God, nobody was in kitchen and everybody was safe. The guy came back again and blamed us that we did break the light intentionally. He screwed the socket again and left without replacing the tubes bulb that fell down due to his lousy work. Called the manager Lisa, first she didn't reply and after again calling, she became argumentative and loud that she can't do anything. For second problem, Electrical panel was making buzzing sound and Lights were flickering in basement. We didn't know what exactly he did to fix the problem but after one month it starts flickering again. We went down to see electric panel, the panel was burning form inside. I have to switch off all the circuit breakers. Thank God we came down on time. The whole house could be on fire. Called them but no response. May be they were thinking we were trying to burn our home intentionally. And about the smoke detector, the guy simply refused to check as he thought it is pest problem. Even after cleaning everything, he refused to replace it. So our house became prone to fire without proper smoke detector with kitchen light ready to fell on somebody's head. This is the work done by CET. We asked AHS to send another provider. The provider came and checked whole panel ( every circuit breaker) and replaced the one the need to be replaced. He told us that we were lucky that we found the burning and switched off the breaker as it was badly damaged. He replaced the smoke detector as he didn't see any pest problem. He also looked at the kitchen light and willing to replace as it was looking dangerous to tube light on that fixture. The new provider took away all my stress within half an hour. Responsiveness: As i mentioned earlier, they did not call me to schedule the appointment as per AHS but i have to call them each time. As i get appointment in two or 3 days but they were not flexible. Punctuality: In two occasion, he was not on time. Even he didn't call. When i called office after the scheduled time, he called that he is late and coming in half hour but he reached in one hour. Professionalism: Everybody makes mistake. Nobody is perfect. But the professional really reflects the character of the person and company. Both are lacking in that. The technician was very aggressive, argumentative and even muttering foul words. He seemed lazy and appeared to work nothing as he disliked his job. The manager whose name is Lisa also very rude on phone and did nothing to help our problem. Both persons behavior was unprofessional. The technician was dishonest. As one of his paper he wrote 1.5 hours but he actually spent 10 minutes when he came for smoke detector.

This technician was very professional, pleasant, punctual and polite. I am very pleased with the price, review of operation of the surge protection and the installation. I highly recommend Certified Electrical Technologies (CET). Also, I plan to use CET again, as the need arises!

I had to reschedule the first appointment I had set up because the technician arrived 2 1/2 hours late. I had my son home during the timeframe given but he had to go to work. The second appointment I took off work. He was supposed to arrive between 10am - 2pm. He didn't show until 4:30pm. I was going away for the weekend so I wasn't there. Luckily my son was able to be there. I wanted to get an estimate for a light switch replacement but the gentlemen kindly announced that he was not an electrician. He basically walked around with some kind of meter reading and tested a few outlets. My son said he was there maybe 15 minutes. He also said since I bought it off of Angie's List that it was pre-paid and I would not be able to be refunded. I felt like it was a waste of money.

Certified Electrical Technologies has completed jobs for us 3 times in the last 7-8 years. We have been totally satisfied each time. The work ranged from changing ceiling fixtures, installing ceiling fans in a room with vaulted ceilings, relocating wiring, and recommending and installing under/over cabinet lighting. Alan has been the technician time. He arrives ontime and works quickly and efficiently. Charges for the work have been reasonable. I highly recommend this company.

Initially they said I couldn't use multiple offers on the same day, so they were going to come four separate times which sounded ridiculous, but they agreed to do all the jobs in one visit after discussing it.

Everything went very well! Todd called me when he was on the way to our home and arrived toward the beginning of the time window I was given. He installed the ceiling fan in our vaulted-ceiling-bedroom without issue (was able to reuse the existing downrod too!), as well as an orb chandelier in our foyer. He was also going to rewire two recessed lights over the bar in our kitchen, which we plan to convert to pendants (they are currently on different circuits). It would have required a cut into the ceiling, which we were expecting and know that we'd need to be the ones to patch it up. But Todd then asked if we want to eventually add a third pendant to balance it, which we do. He explained that it'd actually be more cost-efficient if we just do it all at once AND that he could cut new holes for all the pendants so they are measured evenly apart and center directly over the bar (they are currently a few inches behind it). Once he told us the cost / time difference (which was much lower than I expected), we decided to save this project for the future. He even told me the types of work boxes he'd need for the ceiling so we can get them at Home Depot and already have the parts needed. Apparently Certified Electric sends out the same technician to your home each time too, so Todd will already know exactly what to do next time he's here. I like that! Todd was very friendly, efficient and professional, explaining everything he did. And we'll have him back for our pendant lights!

Everything went fine. I think it took longer than they expected and without any discussion, the installer stayed late to finish.
