The woman who scheduled my request for service was knowledgable, very cordial, and could not have been more of an advocate for me, even managing to find a time slot much sooner than her master schedule indicated was available. She did a nice job of introducing me to the firm and encouraging me to write up a list of projects so that the electrician could use the 2 hours I'd bought effectively. Overall the work done was excellent, and the electrician (Joe Dempsey) cleaned up as he went along, leaving no mess behind.I asked Joe for an estimate for additional work and he promptly wrote one up for me, itemizing all the projects I requested.I would definitely use this firm again... in fact I am in the process of deciding when I can call them to do the next batch of work.

I purchased an Angie's special for a whole house surge-supression device, installed. I called the day I purchased the service and I was able to get an installation date right away. I was surprised how easy it was to get a date that was convenient for me. Eric showed up on the date scheduled and right on-time. The installation was pretty routine and Eric took the time to explain what the device was and how it works. The component is not an expensive unit, but should be installed by a licensed electrician since it does require wiring inside the panel. I felt the Angie's List special was a good price based on other quotes I had gotten for the same work.While he was doing the installation, I asked him to quote me some additional electrical work. I wanted to install a transfer switch for an emergency generator. We discussed the layout and the device in quite detail. We discussed each component down to the cable ends and how we can make the system upgradable if I choose to purchase a larger generator in the future.The quote for this work was slightly higher than I had gotten from other electricians, but I was more comfortable with Markarian based on the discussions I had with Eric and the parts that he selected for the job. In addition Markarian has a history of installing generators and panels, I believe more commercial than residential. Others I interviewed were doing installation, but seemed to do mainly residential and only recently. I liked that Markarian had this experience. I hired them for this job as well and again I was able to pick the day convenient for me.Two employees showed up that day (I forget their names) a few minutes late, but they went right to work. They asked some basic questions but they had the scope of work and the parts. The installation went smoothly and lasted about as long as they had estimated. The finished product was exactly what I had asked for. The installation looks neat and professional. Before the employees left, they made sure I knew how to use my generator (I had purchased it myself and prior to the installation) and how to connect it to the system and power up the circuits.The challenge came with the work permit. When I had the work spec'ed out, I asked for permits to be pulled for the work. Markarian took on that role. At the end of the job an inspection is required to close out the job. Julie had an extremely difficult time to get this scheduled but she stayed on it. She also kept me in the loop the entire time. It dragged on for quite some time, but I got the final inspection and Eric was on-site the day of the inspection which made me happy. So kudos to Julie for putting up with my local town hall and my constant phone calls and e-mails.Won't you know it, since I have had the system installed I have not had the occasion to use it. Don't get me wrong, I prefer it that way. But I rest better knowing I have a system I can rely on.Markarian is not really local, but they are willing to travel. I would not hesitate to call them for additional work.

Fernando arrived on time--and was courteous and pleasant. Problem was complicated because of old wiring, but he kept to the original price (this job was regetted by others), and completed the job very satisfactorily.Office was most helpful.

Very smooth. One two calls before service date - one to schedule, one to confirm equipment type. Less than an hour of work. The only part that didn't went as I planned was when I asked for an estimate for future (or same day) services. Asked for a quote for adding an extra outlet and the quote for extra services were at outrageous prices. Since I was in a hurry I would have paid for them, but only if they installed the extra outlet (positioned just 3 feet away from the circuit breaker box), but they refused due to lack of time. Passed on the service. Didn't gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling, but I can't blame them for trying to increase their business.

As an Angie's List member, I found Markarian Electric on-line and liked the reports that I had read. I hired ME to do this job for my elderly Mom. I was so pleased with my very first phone call, after speaking with "Julie" - she was so pleasant and very informative. I had a ton of questions, and she very patiently answered every single one of them. My biggest concern was that ME could provide me with, not only a general liability policy, but a worker's comp. policy as well. Julie made sure she e-mailed me a copy of it right away. She first sent Eric out for the estimate - my husband met him, and they went over the job. He was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. We hired ME to do the job. Julie had scheduled "Fernando" and "Jason" for the job. Our only disappointment was that only "Jason" had arrived. We felt that this was a 2-man job, because there was a lot of "fishing" of wires that had to be done. I called Julie and expressed my concerns....she had apologized, and told me that Fernando was out sick, and that she would try and send someone else out to help Jason. Jason worked the first 2 hrs. by himself, and was doing a fantastic job running from the attic down to the basement multiple times. My Mom was so pleased with him, but felt sorry for him at the same time! Julie kept to her word and sent another worker, "Joe" to help out Jason. Joe was also a very nice person and a hard worker. Between the two of them, they got the whole job done. My Mom and my husband were very pleased with both workers. They were very friendly and polite, and cleaned up after themselves too! We would definitely hire ME again for our electrical needs. Julie, you are an unbelievable asset to this company - it is clear that you "run" the show and work very hard doing your job - I hope that all the guys appreciate you!!! Thank you ALL again for a job well done!

The service was great! They great work. The customer service needs to be improved.

Joe arrived promptly as scheduled and was extremely, pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable about the job to be done. It is an old house and some wiring was corroded which Joe cleaned up and insulated prior to installing new ceiling light fixtures. He was also able to troubleshoot and clean up a self wiring mess created by former tenants and redirect the wiring to the appropriate circuits and receptacles. I have further work to be done and will be requesting Markarian Electric's services again - Joe in particular. He did a great job - stayin on task and keeping me informed of what he was doing.

I bought the Big Deal for Markarian anticipating using them for some electrical work in our new house. Unfortunately the inspection of our old house resulted in several electrical issues that needed to be fixed before closing. Eric came to our house to provide an estimate. He looked at the inspector's report and knew exactly what the issue were - without having to explain it. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We needed the work done within a specific time frame and Markarian worked with me to get it scheduled and completed. The finished product was terrific - we were very pleased! Would definitely use them again!

Excellent experience. Eric Markarian responded to all of my concerns and went the extra mile to thoroughly inspect the electrical system in my home. I did not use Markarian Electric for further services because I was not ready to make the expenditure, but I definitely will contact them when it comes time to replace the security system.

I called Markarian when all the electricity suddenly went out in our home office. It seemed that none of the other lights in our house were affected and the circuit breaker wasn't tripped. Julie was able to schedule an appointment for me for the following day and the electrician who came to do the repair work (sorry I can't remember his name) was on time, professional and courteous. He spent almost 2 hours troubleshooting the problem, trying to figure out where the issue originated. He was very thorough. He finally discovered that the problem was in the outlet in the upstairs bathroom. He discussed the issue with me and I gave him approval to go ahead and rewire the outlet. I paid the bill by credit card (which was over $300). After the electrician left, I was reviewing the bill more closely and felt that I had been overcharged. Just as I was about to call the office to talk to Julie about it, she actually called me to say that the electrician had billed the wrong amount inadvertently and that she had reduced my bill to $275. This was a fair price and was the amount I had been expecting to pay.I was very happy with the service I received from Markarian and plan use them again should the need arise.

Fernando was fantastic - we had a 2 hour Angies List "big deal" and were so impressed with this company. Julie the scheduling person was also fantastic. Highly recommend.

I have been thoroughly impressed and pleased with Eric and his Markarian Electric company. They were very patient in learning about my needs and concerns, and provided helpful advice at every step. I feel that they were also extremely professional and clearly experienced in providing high quality service. Furthermore, they were neat and meticulous as they wore new shoe coverings upon entering my home and immediately cleaned up after each task. I give Eric and his company my highest recommendation and will certainly called them again for any electrical work in the future.

Julie setup our appointment, she was great, Initially she said that someone could only come out in 4 weeks, however she did her little magic and called me back with a she was able to get us in early. Fernando was great, right from when he put on the booties over his shoes when he entered our house to the time he cleaned all the derbies after he was finished.He was efficient, smart and friendly.

Markarian's service and responsiveness were excellent. From the moment Eric entered our house for the estimate and put on protective booties, I knew that Markarian placed a high value on customer service. He spent 40 minutes on the day before Thanksgiving walking through the project and discussing different options. I visited the showroom twice more to speak with Danny about TV options and other matters and he was always courteous and responsive. We delayed our project until March but Eric honored the original estimate. Danny and Fernando arrived promptly on the scheduled date and finished the project over the course of two days (including a couple extras I threw in during the project). Their work was neat, accurate, and complete and was done in accordance with the original estimate. The pricing might have been slightly high compared to others but you definitely get what you pay for--high quality and solid service. We will definitely call on Markarian for future electrical projects and really appreciated their customer-centric service.

Did a wonderful job,cleaned up as well. I would definitely reccomend them. Danny gave was prompt with the estimate. Gave me all my options, did not try and pressure me into expensive upgrades. They were willing to work with my mix of components and the very tiny space I had to conceal everything. They did a thorough cleaning after themselves and Danny came by to give me a tutorial on how to use everything.

Everything was done with a high degree of professionalism and in a very friendly manner.

It was an easy job, and anyone could have done it. They did a good job, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend them to anyone. The overall job was fine, but they had to come back and fix something that they had messed up.

Everything was great. Would definitely call them again.

Because of the price they asked too high I didn't select the company.
