They never returned my phone call. They had offered some free services if you purchased some time and they were probably overloaded with requests.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They did a very good job and we have nothing bad to say. For the amount of money it was a very good deal. We didn't spend any additional because they were so good. It worked out very well. They were very, very good. They were excellent. The price was great. We hope we never have this problem again but if we do, we would use them. We've been in this house 24 years and never had this problem before.

The service was fine. I signed up for a maintenance package with them and used their services for about three years. Scheduling was never an issue, they could always come out right away. I felt there was a little pressure with their sales pitch at times.

It was okay. Because that they were quite expensive, we didn't end up using them for other plumbing needs. The bio-product has not been successful in unclogging our drains either. The person who came was very pleasant. We had a good experience there. It's just the cost of what they proposing to do didn't blend up with what my expectation was. It was more significant than the big deal purchase. They probably can provide good service but they're on the pricey side. One person came out.

Excellent! Anthony came out on a cold (-15F) night and tried to get us working. He gave us space heaters to hold us over until the could get the parts and install.

Plumber was late-no phone call- this is unusual for Titan, usually they're quite prompt. Had valve replaced promptly.

Jason and Phil replaced an old water heater for us. They were efficient in their work and completed the work in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and use them for future work.

The details - in May 2012 Titan had installed two whole house humidifiers through an Angie's List coupon for units 1 & 2 in our building. On December 11 2013 I noticed that water was pouring out of one of the units. I disabled it and called Titan right away. To Titan's credit, they had someone out to our house within 24 hours to check it out. The technician opened the unit, inspected the filter, and said that our problem was clearly that the filter needed to be replaced. I asked if we should turn on the unit so he could witness the problem, and he said no and assured me that the filter was the issue, as that was the most common problem and that the filters needed to be replaced annually (we still had the filters that were installed in 2012). He called back to the office to figure out pricing options, which he then reviewed with me. He started with the highest priced option, which was an eye-popping $7000+ premium multi-year service contract for both units (I believe covering a broad range of issues). The next option was around $6000, and there were 1-2 more options each for over $1000. The cheapest "bandaid" option I was told was to have Titan replace the filter. Because the technician didn't have a filter in the truck (even though I had informed Titan of what the issue was in advance, and the technician had told me that filter replacement was the most common issue), he would have to drive up to the warehouse to pick it up. The price for replacing the filter on the malfunctioning unit would be $273, to replace the filter in both of the units would be over $400. Because these options were so expensive, I declined the service, and was only charged for the visit ($117). After the technician left, I examined the units and came to my own conclusion: the filter had come loose and needed to be better secured. I did this, and the unit functioned properly. Then I looked online, and discovered that I could get a replacement filter for $6. I ordered 4 (two for this year, two for next), which cost less than $30 including shipping. These units actually are incredibly simple - as simple as regular room humidifiers - and both the filter adjustment and replacement were quite easy to do. So my complaints: obviously, a proper diagnostic was not conducted - the technician never turned on the unit to witness the problem. While annual filter replacement is recommended by the manufacturer, we had operated the units for only one winter previously, so filter condition was likely not a major issue. Most importantly, I am shocked that the technician was advised to upsell me a $7000 contract for what appears to be a $6 problem! And even if I had chosen to have Titan do the filter replacement for me (which I would have done if the cost had been more reasonable), it stuns me to think that it would have cost $273 for a single filter replacement and more than a $100 more to replace the second one! What many companies do to build trust and a relationship with their customers is to show them how things operate and help the customers avoid unnecessary expenses. I would encourage Titan to do the same, as an instructive, helpful and timely visit by a skilled technician is generally worth the money. (Please note I also emailed this complaint to Titan directly last week and received no response.)

The young guy who came out was friendly and punctual. However, he was not familiar with the valves on my heating system, and so I told him what needed to be done. He provided a quote, but the price was significantly more expensive than other plumbers. I asked him to call in to see if he could get a better price but he said they would not lower the price. The job should take about 1-2 hours to change a part that I can get for about $130.00. That would work out a labor rate of about $550/hr. which I feel is excessive. So I declined to hire them.

Was prompt, courteous and thorough. He had a number of options for us on the services and made recommendations for preventive maintenance.

They came to check everything over before the winter. They did a good job. They came when they said they would and the technician was professional and knowledgeable.

Jared inspected our existing system and after just a few days, presented us with several options in multiple price ranges to help us make an educated decision. While Titan was significantly more expensive than the competition, Jared explained the value proposition and clear differentiators Titan offers.

No question $50 for this type of service was a bargain, or would have been if we did not encounter a couple of technical issues related to the age and construction of the line -- a combination of cast iron and clay with what appeared to be a trap just beyond the exit point from the foundation. Therefore, the analysis was limited to a fairly short portion of the total length of the line, with no definitive conclusions for the section(s) that were not cast iron . Perhaps the larger concern was the fairly aggressive upselling; the technician focused on on the need to develop a proposal for replacing a portion or all of the line due to the potentially "catastrophic" consequences of the main sewer line failing. The cautions would have been benefited from a more thorough analysis of the entire pipe's condition given the limited length actually filmed. I agreed to a no cost/no commitment estimate which I received a couple of months later; the total cost of the proposed work was nearly $30,000. Subsequently I solicited other plumbers for their views and commissioned an in depth assessment of the line's condition which was inconclusive regarding the risks associated with the clay portion of the line...

Plumber spent most of his time trying to up-sell me on additional services that were not wanted or needed. Flurry of annoying social media and e-mail marketing continues to this day, well over a year after project completed. Will never use Titan again, as they seem concerned only with squeezing every penny out of customers, rather than providing requested plumbing services.

I bought two $75 Toilet tune-up deals from Titan Plumbing in 2012, promptly forgot about them, and they expired. In early 2013 Titan Plumbing contacted me and asked me if I was still interested; they would honor the expired deals. I took them up their offer. The tune-up was advertised as (cut'n'pasted from the Angie Special Deal certificate) The 5-point toilet tune-up includes: ? Inspecting and adjusting the fill valve ? Cleaning the flush valve seat ? Replacing the worn flapper ? Adjusting the tank lever operation ? Inspecting the condition and functionality of the toilet emergency shut off valve and supply riser. I didn't really get that and I was disappointed with what I got. The tune-up, in fact, consisted of dropping blue dye tablets in the toilet tank and testing for leaks -- and a really long sales pitch to replace all my toilets. They key argument being that my existing toilets were old, used too much water, and the flappers/valves/etc could no longer be replaced. The first two points are valid but the last one was patently false; I ended up replacing them myself with after-market kits from Home Depot. On the other hand, the fellow did inspect three toilets (I had only paid for two tune-ups) and he cleaned out my bathtub drain (while criticizing non-stop the vendor who had installed the bathtub faucets/crain.) So here's the summary: I don't have any particular complaint with Titan Plumbing; I didn't get exactly what I expected but they did do some work for me so I figure it evened out. I'd try them again if I need plumbing work. I will not, however, be buying any more "toilet tune-up" specials from Angie's List or any other source. B overall because the tune-up was a bit of a bait-n-switch, and for the 30-minute sales spiel was annoying. C for price and quality as it essentially was $150 to snake out my bathtub drain.
